Moving onto cycle 7......AF arrived today 12dpo. Ahhhh so frustrated!

Swifty2 · 15/06/2020 13:21

Thanks everyone! @Annny27 I'm sorry about af! Fingers crossed for the next cycle!
Is anybody trying anything new for the next cycle? Once af has finally turned up for me (and gone again!) I'm going to add in castor oil packs and epo and maybe Angus Castus as I typically (thought not this month) have a short luteal phase.

Seafrontsky · 15/06/2020 13:22

@Twinkletoes85 sleep weeing and temping is a skill! Absolutely think that regularly 'what has happened to me?!' As I grind seeds, hide pineapple so the kids dont scoff it, and chug 100000 supplements!

@DSC1 whoop whoop on the willpower. Holding out for you!

@Annny27 oh I'm so sorry to hear AF arrived. That sucks. I hope you're doing ok? Just let yourself feel all the frustration and anger at it all. And treat yourself to some forbidden fruits.

DSC1 · 15/06/2020 13:42

Thanks everyone!

@Annny27 I’m sorry AF has arrived, I hope you are ok and fingers crossed cycle 7 is yours

KK251289 · 15/06/2020 13:50

I'm sorry @Annny27 take care of yourself, treat yourself with tea / wine / chocolate (whichever is your fave) then onwards and upwards for next month.

@Swifty2 I have nothing new to try next month, I'm not even sure what to try!

gypsywater · 15/06/2020 13:55

I feel really nauseous today at 10 DPO - could this be anything????

Plaw · 15/06/2020 14:15

Girls is it ok if I join yous?

I’ve read a lot of the posts and it just seems like a healthy little group to be involved in.

I’m 35 and ttc #2.
On our 8th cycle now, it was 5 months for our little man so I’m determined to do all I can now to get pregnant before going to gp.

It’s starting to upset me at times but reading this thread has shown me positivity is so important.

I know I’m so so lucky to be a mummy already but would just love for him to have a sibling growing up.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 15/06/2020 14:27

@Annny27 I'm really sorry :( absolutely awful feeling! Stay positive next cycle will be yours!!! X

@Swifty2 I'm not sure what else I can actually add now! I do everything haha! I bought pre seed this month which I never used so maybe that, I'm not drinking throughout the 2ww this time but if it doesn't work I may give up alcohol for the month,

What's everyone's thoughts on coffee, I LOVE my cup of coffee when I get up... should I be stopping that in TWW

@gypsywater sickness was my first symptom last time, really really bad! That and going off coffee and wine!! X

gypsywater · 15/06/2020 14:40

@AnxiousAnnie86 It was my morning coffee today that has led to the horrible nausea. I do feel really grotty. But dont know if I'm just getting my Hope's up and still not due AF for another week!

Swifty2 · 15/06/2020 14:48

@AnxiousAnnie86 I'm giving up alcohol and caffeine for this cycle to see what happens. I definitely drink too much coffee as it is so if anything it'll be healthy to cut it down! I've replaced it with decaf and honestly I can't really tell the difference except it takes me about 20 minutes longer to feel fully awake in the mornings! I'm not really a big drinker so cutting alcohol out for me has been easy, I'm going to try and lose a bit of weight and see if that helps and alcohol (however delicious!) just feels like dead calories!

KK251289 · 15/06/2020 14:50

@gypsywater keeping everything crossed for you. I cant remember feeling sick before AF.

Welcome @Plaw, it's a lovely group here, I'm so glad I've joined. Whereabouts in your cycle are you?

@AnxiousAnnie86 I love my tea but for about a month now, switched to decaf apart from my first cup of the day. Not sure if itll make a difference but hoping it will. So it's the first fertile week where I've not had as much caffeine, I'll know if AF doesnt show on 26th June if its worked.

Tink2019 · 15/06/2020 14:59

Hi ladies,

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in, but this group just seems super supportive and helpful.

I’m 34 and this is now our 10th cycle TTC our first baby. I was doing OK, but have had five close friends announce pregnancies in the last couple of months (all of which seemed to happen without much trying) and have been feeling crappy since...don’t get me wrong, I’m so so happy for them, but also so unbelievably sad it’s not happening for us.

I’ve been temping since my husband and I started trying and mine seem all over the place - some months they hardly drop before / during my period, so when I ovulate the rise isn’t very big at all. Plus my cycles are pretty irregular (27-37 days), which isn’t helpful! I know everyone says trying for a year is normal, but we have decided to have tests with a private clinic - should get initial results this week, so probably feeling wobbly because of that too.

Anyway, it’s nice to know how I’m feeling is normal, so thank you everyone for sharing in this thread x

Hoping41 · 15/06/2020 15:07

Welcome @plaw and @tink2019. Good luck with your test results tink. Fingers crossed for you both 🤞

Twinkletoes85 · 15/06/2020 15:51

@gypsywater keeping everything crossed for you! I hope this is it!

Welcome @Tink2019 I hope your results give you some positive news and guidance.

@Plaw welcome, how old is your little one? It really is a lovely group with a tonne of different experiences so someone can always empathise.

Does anyone else get emotional in the lead up to ovulation? I'm fairly certain I'll get the flashing smilies from tomorrow and honestly today I could just cry (I didn't sleep well at all last night so could just be that).

Tink2019 · 15/06/2020 16:03

Thank you @Hoping41 and @Twinkletoes85.

@Twinkletoes85 Yep, I get emotional too before ovulation, but because my cycles are irregular I don’t normally realise it’s because of that until I get the positive OPK. I also didn’t sleep last night, cried this morning and have felt emotional all day...being a girl (I'm probably a bit old to be a ‘girl’ now!) sucks!!!

@Tink2019 it really does sometimes, I forgot how exhausting it can be.

I didn't ovulate or have periods for a long time with birth control and now I'm tired and emotional when I ov then just as I get over that I'm tired and emotional from af and repeat.

Men get the better deal post puberty 😂

Aokbaby · 15/06/2020 16:09

@DSC1 hope she stays away, 🤞🤞

Aokbaby · 15/06/2020 16:11

On a different note, I contacted the gp today re my UTI and she seems to think I may have thrush die to taking strong antibiotics recently, she suggested I buy the pessary and cream. Have any of you ladies ever used the canesten pessary, it's scaring me a bit lol do you feel it inside, what if I don't put it in far enough?
Im in my fw at the minute and don't know whether to wait until after or do it now? Driving me nuts

Aokbaby · 15/06/2020 16:21

@Annny27 sorry to hear about af, hugs x

@Swifty2 I'm gonna try epo, not sure when to start as I'm in fertile window at the minute

@gypsywater I've never had nausea, hope this is it for you 🤞

@Plaw welcome, it's a great bunch of ladies here

@AnxiousAnnie86 I usually have 1 normal coffee at the start of the day then decaf from there on, but that only because I like to have a fizzy drink at lunch which has caffeine in it too

@Twinkletoes85 an emotional wreck, tearing up at TV adverts😭

Aokbaby · 15/06/2020 16:23

@Tink2019 hi there, it's never easy when everyone around you is suddenly pregnant, believe me I know, our time will come💛

gypsywater · 15/06/2020 16:48

@Aokbaby I've personally never got on too well with the pessary (its messy!) but it does go in OK. I much prefer the single dose tablet you can get. Took one a few days ago after my course of antibiotics for the UTI actually. I find they work much better and v quickly as well.

Twinkletoes85 · 15/06/2020 17:05

@Aokbaby I've used the pessary before and it's not too bad. It comes with an applicator a bit like a tampon you push the end and it pops it up. Best to do it last thing before you lie down to sleep.

It's been a while but I think it can be a bit leaky the next morning when you get up. I had an awful bout of reoccurring thrush and the pessary worked really well clearing it up

Annny27 · 15/06/2020 17:14

Thanks everyone 💗💗

@aokbaby I have had thrush twice this year after antibiotics and the pessary is tiny when its actually in and its the only thing they recommended for when ttc as the oral tablet is not safe for ttc or pregnancy:)

Aokbaby · 15/06/2020 17:24

Thanks ladies, yea the gp said it's best to use pessary, I'll give it a go and hope for the best 🤞
