Hi ladies,

Following on from our 6 months ttc thread, for anyone wanting to join in it’s just a group of us who have gone past the 6/7 month mark ttc looking to chat and support each other. All welcome 😊

Awwh @DSC1 that's gutting:( a lot of people gave spotting and still get their bfps so not totally out!

10dpo and I am exhausted if I am honest!

I bought preseed this month but haven't used it yet I have visions of it all going everywhere and putting DH Off ar a crucial time!

I got my static smiley on clear blue last night, would you couldn't today as OV or tomorrow as it was last night.... x

@AnxiousAnnie86 re preseed lol surprisingly it doesn't go everywhere, although I'd say only use about 1-2g of it as you don't need much, good luck x

@gypsywater did you keep DTD when you were taking ab, I'm just about to ovulate in next few days and don't know whether to get abs and DTD or persevere through with UTI first 🙈🙈

Catching up - had a busy weekend here enjoying the sunshine in the garden (which basically boils down to being repeatedly sprayed with the hose by DS whilst I read the same page of my book over and over again - he finds it hilarious!)

I got a UTI the first month ttc this time. First I'd ever had and it was horrific and came on so suddenly. It also developed into a kidney infection which was so painful for two weeks! I now make sure I go for a wee within 10min of dtd and take a shower. I've read up on it quite a bit and most medical sites say it's fine as the sperm that will make it to the cervix are already in there by then and the rest would eventually fall out anyway. I hope that's true! Anyway, not had one since. I used d-mannose tablets before when I feel any possible symptom which could be a uti developing and they worked v well!

I'm officially 3DPO here as confirmed by Ava temps, which seems to correspond exactly with my O pain and OPK+. Now just waiting for 12DPO to test! Have got a v busy week ahead at work and the cycle I fell with DS I had absolutely no symptoms until after I got BFP so I'm not gonna symptom spot. The cycles before BFP with DS I had every pregnancy symptom under the sun and yet no BFP!

Anyone close to testing?

Morning @MummyOfZog - nice to be in the tww! Sounds like you had a lovely weeken. Thats promising that you had no symptoms with your DS!

I am 11dpo so close to testing/AF!

Morning Ladies, hope you're all well. I'm chuckling at the sneaking off to put the preseed in. That's exactly what I do with the conceive plus lol.
Also I've never had a UTI either. Sounds horrible. Ouch.

So I'm still brown spotting and this is day 4. I'm not sure why it's going on so long before AF starts. The same thing happened last month, like 5 days of spotting before AF. It seems like a lot. It started at 10dpo so it really shortens my LP xx

@pinkflamingogirl that's odd for you to have it 2 months in a row. I did read that spotting is left over blood from the previous cycle so you wouldn't count your new day 1 until af properly appears. I'm definitely no expert but I guess that means it doesn't shorten your lp phase?

I think it takes what little romance is left out of DTD when ttc if you have to tell your dh I'm just going to baste myself, back in a mo🤣🤣🤣 I've no real symptoms of UTI other than sore lower back but then again that could be because ovulation is due any day🙈the joys

Do preseed and conceive plus do more or less the same thing? I'm thinking of getting some.

@PinkFlamingoGirl has it just been the last two cycles you've spotted? Have you been doing anything differently?

I am now 2 days late for af but Bfn. I've had no PMS symptoms this month although I've got a bit of back ache today and a dull feeling in my tummy. Hopefully she'll make her appearance soon so as this isn't much fun. However, I was seed cycling this second half with the sunflower and sesame so I'm wondering if it's lengthened this part for me. If af arrives tomorrow I'll have had a 28 day cycle which is very textbook so that has to be a good thing.

@Twinkletoes85 I’ve used both and they’re pretty similar. I use preseed with the applicators and conceive plus as a normal lube. The one time I used conceive plus internally I got a UTI and it put me right off!

For some reason I hate the thought of using the preseed thing. It's not for me but fast forward a few months if I've still not gotten pregnant I'm sure I will try anything!

@PinkFlamingoGirl that's annoying, hate when something different happens but it's still not a bfp type of difference!

It's only the last two months I've had it going on this long. Before I'd maybe spot the day before AF and then she would come.

I haven't done anything different tbh! Just upped my fruit and veg, water and used conceive plus lube.

Sorry about BFN @Hoping41 but I'm glad you are thinking the cycle length is a bit more textbook. Always good to draw on the positives.

Isnt preseed only for those who actually need lube eg doesnt damage sperm like regular lubes?

@gypsywater it’s designed to mimic fertile cm. it’s aimed at those who don’t notice much EWCM, which is definitely me!

@Nat4392 Ah I see! I use it anyway but didnt realise it had that function too. I dont mind it too much. It's a bit pricey tho!

I've just bought conceive plus lube, heading into fertile week next week so hoping it will make DTD a bit more exciting 😂 as when it's 'scheduled' you're not always ready for it are you

@Seafrontsky not had anything at all today. It was just a tiny amount, I’m not due until tomorrow earliest so still holding out some hope. How are you doing?
