Hey ladies!

Anyone with me ttc next month? I had my DS back in Feb 19 and we've now decided to try for baby #2.

I've been out and bought ovulation sticks, pregnancy tests and folic acid. I haven't been on Mumsnet in a long while and I've just checked the conception topic and I'm all excited again, it was such a great support platform for me the first time around!

@Lozz22 so sorry to hear that, I have my fingers firmly crossed for you
@Bluepolkadots42 fingers crossed you are pregnant but hope you don't get the sickness again

I'm probably going to try and wait til Sunday/Monday to test which will be 12/13 dpo how about you?

Lozz22 · 11/06/2020 22:45

@Bluepolkadots42
@Newbie9
@kate123cl

Thank you

Bluepolkadots42 · 12/06/2020 09:07

Thanks @Newbie9 I am doubting myself now as feel totally fine so far today have had no nausea or cramping. I looked back on my pregnancy app from last time I got pregnant and the symptoms I logged during the 2ww included breast tenderness every day from 6dpo and I haven't had any of that. So think that possibly the nausea I've been having is stress/anxiety related. 😣 TMI I've got a bit of a dodgy tummy today so think I'm out as I often get that before AF because of hormone levels. My app is saying AF due Tues but it feels like forever to wait.

Newbie9 · 12/06/2020 10:00

@Bluepolkadots42 I'm a bit similar my stomach has been a bit off for a few days, think it's progesterone. Feel like I'm going to come on today ☹️ x

Bluepolkadots42 · 12/06/2020 11:23

@Newbie9 bloody progesterone causing AF and BFP symptoms to be the same!!
I hope AF stays away for you!

Newbie9 · 12/06/2020 11:40

@Bluepolkadots42 I know rubbish hey, thankfully still no af and period type pain has gone
How are you?

Bluepolkadots42 · 12/06/2020 12:00

Glad AF still isn't showing her face for you @Newbie9. I'm pretty symptomless still so who knows what's going on. I've had some v faint cramps but nothing notable and probably only noticing them cos I'm tuning in to every twinge!

kate123cl · 12/06/2020 12:05

Girls, I'm feeling so disheartenedSad I bought some CB advanced digitals yesterday but I'm already CD13 so had the empty circle reading last night and this morning, is that normal? It said due to my cycle length that I should've started using them on CD7. My cheap tests are getting darker but still showing 'low' on the Premom app (only been using it a month though so no previous history to go on). This was my cheap test from today.

@kate123cl I didn't get a flashing smiley on clear blue until CD14 then my solid smiley on CD16. Keep on going 🤞🏽 I always found the cheap strips rubbish!!

Newbie9 · 12/06/2020 12:12

@kate123cl do you have any other ovulation symptoms? Increased CM?
I had really faint lines on the cheapies even when I got a peak with clear blue so I'm not a fan anyway
I'd try the clear blue again later on after holding wee & not drinking for at least 3 hours
Let us know whether you get a different reading x

kate123cl · 12/06/2020 12:21

@PabsyPops Thank you! That's interestingSmile

@Newbie9 Thanks. Usually I get increased cm and then have quite strong pains and I haven't experienced any of this yet this month! Is it possible that I'm getting empty circles on CB because I'm so late into my cycle and it has nothing previous to base readings on?x

Newbie9 · 12/06/2020 12:26

@kate123cl maybe although you could still be due to ovulate soon, I'd keep using them over the next 2-3 days in the afternoon and see. On the day I got my peak in the afternoon I'd have a negative - on clear blue in the morning x

Bluepolkadots42 · 12/06/2020 12:27

@kate123cl I don't start getting any lines on my cheapie OPKs ( and i only use the cheapie dip sticks) until CD16 and CD17. I usually get pains as you've described and I get lots of EWCM from CD14.
Keep testing twice a day on your cheapies- once FMU, second in afternoon 3/4pm , so you know you definitely will catch your surge.
I reckon you will start getting a darker line on your cheapies in next day or so.

kate123cl · 12/06/2020 12:30

@Newbie9 Thank you. I think I may be getting a little obsessive and silly really. I usually know exactly when I ovulate so not sure why I'm relying so much on 20p tests! Grin I'll keep using them and ClearBlue!x

Thanks so much @Bluepolkadots42, that's good to know! I'll just keep on testing and hoping for the best. I hope I start getting darker linesSmile

@kate123cl keep us posted on how you get on!

kate123cl · 12/06/2020 13:48

I will do! @Bluepolkadots42

Newbie9 · 12/06/2020 21:45

@kate123cl yep keep using them and hopefully you'll see a difference xx

kate123cl · 13/06/2020 07:14

Still an empty circle on CB this morningHmm Cheap test looks light too. Mine always seem to be lighter in the morning!

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 13/06/2020 07:28

@kate123cl I always get better lines in afternoon at 4pm ish. So tend to test at that time.

I couldn't hold out any longer and so did a pregnancy test this morning. I thought I could see a v faint test line initially but once the control line was very solid I then couldn't see any test line :( I am feeling nausea this morning and having cramps that feel like my AF cramps so not feeling hopeful. Will test again on Monday as today I am 10dpo.

Newbie9 · 13/06/2020 09:01

@Bluepolkadots42 don't be disheartened Hun it's still early
I tested yesterday, when I was also
10dpo & it was negative too. Going to wait til mon at least. I looked back at my previous pregnancy and didn't get a positive til 16dpo x

Bluepolkadots42 · 13/06/2020 09:39

@Newbie9 thank you. I just had another look back on my pregnancy app and i had miscounted and actually didn't get a BFP until 13DPO. So 13dpo this cycle is actually the day the app is predicting AF is coming (Tues). I am going to test Monday though just because I am so impatient and I've got lots of cheapie tests in.
I just feel like I will feel such an idiot if it is definitely a negative because I have had so much nausea the last few days I've convinced myself it will be positive and if that nausea isn't caused by pregnancy then I am going to be worried about what is causing it!
Cramps have died down again now but they were pretty strong after I first posted today.
It literally feels like an eternity until Monday!

Newbie9 · 13/06/2020 09:43

@Bluepolkadots42 I feel the same actually, I thought I was having implantation cramps around day 9, nausea all sorts of symptoms but all could be pms too. I've tested this morning & negative. I need to leave it now til 13-15dpo if af hasn't come. I suppose if we weren't trying you wouldn't test til after a missed period so prob better to go with that rule x

Newbie9 · 13/06/2020 09:43

@Bluepolkadots42 which app do you use?

Bluepolkadots42 · 13/06/2020 10:00

@Newbie9 yes you are totally right- we should be waiting until missed AF. I know this and yet I've still just ordered 25 early detection HCG strips on amazon prime despairs of self.

I use Ovia- used it with my last TTC journey. Found it v helpful to track my cycle in conjunction with using OPKs and then once we started properly TTC it was v handy too.
Are you using any apps?

Newbie9 · 13/06/2020 12:55

@Bluepolkadots42 yes I use kindara and also been trying fermometer too ask bought the opks that go with that app but I don't plan on using 2 forever. They both predict different things at different times lol
So both thought I ovulated when I did but now the fermometer says it was a day or 2 later so I could be 9-11 days po instead of 11 if I go with that 🤷🏻‍♀️
