Hey ladies!

Anyone with me ttc next month? I had my DS back in Feb 19 and we've now decided to try for baby #2.

I've been out and bought ovulation sticks, pregnancy tests and folic acid. I haven't been on Mumsnet in a long while and I've just checked the conception topic and I'm all excited again, it was such a great support platform for me the first time around!

Oops I meant testing @Newbie9 as resting with a toddler would be wishful thinking!

kate123cl · 10/06/2020 21:25

Mine seem to be stronger in the afternoon too @Newbie9 !

@Running365 Ah yes very similar cycles, exact almostGrin I'm the same re overthinking, it's driving me crazy! It happened first time with our first so I've got it into my head that it'll definitely take a lifetime this time! Hope you're doing ok. Are you using OPKs?

Newbie9 · 10/06/2020 21:32

@Running365 thank you, no resting for me haha
Hoping I don't come on, I feel a bit crampy again now
I also felt implantation so clearly with my son, I know every pregnancy is different but haven't felt that x

Running365 · 10/06/2020 22:43

@kate123cl it certainly messes with your head all this comparison to the first. No we've decided that as my cycles are regular to just DTD regularly (although I'm shattered already haha) and tracking CM as it's usually very obvious (sorry TMI)! I don't want DH thinking I'm obsessing already by doing temps and opks so I'm trying to play it cool but doubt it'll last to next month if we're not successful this cycle. I'm not sure I can sustain this much time DTD although DH not complaining!

Running365 · 10/06/2020 22:44

@Newbie9 positive thoughts!!

kate123cl · 10/06/2020 22:46

Fair enough! @Running365. So similar, my CM is usually very obvious too. We've dtd every night for the past 4 (I'm also exhausted)Grin Well done you for playing it cool, I don't have the will powerGrin

@kate123cl yep that looks like it's quite dark so that's great x

Newbie9 · 11/06/2020 15:23

I've had mild cramps again today on & off and just been to the toilet & wiped & it's a tiny bit pink
I've took a pic but it's prob tmi for you all! X

TerryRose · 11/06/2020 15:29

Hiya so I'm currently 5 days into my period so can't wait to get trying again , I've never used ovulation strips so going to try those during the next cycle, I always just assumed I ovulated but started doubting myself so hopefully all will be in order and I don't have to add that to the list of potential reasons as to why we didn't get pregnant straight away 😂 fingers crossed for you all, it's a tiring and expensive process

kate123cl · 11/06/2020 15:36

@Newbie9 I've spend the morning dealing with poonamis so feel free to post a pic, won't bother me in the slightest!Grinx

Ah yes I see! @Newbie9 it could well be, it's usually pink-ish hue rather than red isn't it!🤞🏼x

OP posts:
Newbie9 · 11/06/2020 15:55

@kate123cl it's just sting but pink isn't it. How do I delete it now?!

kate123cl · 11/06/2020 16:06

@Newbie9 Ooo I'm really not too sure! I can report it and ask them to take it down at your request possibly? I'm not sure!x

Newbie9 · 11/06/2020 16:15

@kate123cl I've just reported it & asked them to remove it x

Lozz22 · 11/06/2020 16:21

After a miscarriage last October I'm really really really hoping this month is the one!! My periods seem to be now returning back to normal again and I couldn't think of a better birthday present and wrapping up a positive Pregnancy test for my OH in Jul

Bluepolkadots42 · 11/06/2020 18:54

@Newbie9 that looks promising- fingers crossed!
@Lozz22 I hope this is your month too.

I am 8/9 dpo and have had some random bouts of horrible nausea... not sure if it's a bug , caused by work stress or whether it could be a sign of BFP. I had horrendous pregnancy sickness with my first- endless vomiting every day from 4.30pm (started like clockwork!) from week 5 til week 28. Only upside was it meant I put on v little weight in pregnancy. How many DPO are people waiting before they test?

kate123cl · 11/06/2020 19:19

aw @Lozz22 I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm really hoping that this is your month!

@Bluepolkadots42 Ooo fingers crossed for you! I also had horrendous sickness with my DS. Well, morning, afternoon and night sickness I liked to call itGrin I'll probably test from 2-3 days before AF being due!

OP posts:
kate123cl · 11/06/2020 19:20

@Bluepolkadots42 I also ended up being a stone and a half lighter when I was pregnant than before!

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 11/06/2020 21:26

@kate123cl the sickness is just horrendous isn't it? But silver lining is the lack of weight gain. 1.5 stone is amazing! I think I lose a stone all in all including my 7lb daughter. I am aiming to hold out till 12dpo but so tempted to test at 10. Which is silly as I should just have will power to wait until Monday!
