I never seem to quite fit into any of the existing posts so thought I’d create my own.

Feel free to join me.

I ‘think’ I’m due af around 17th May, but knowing me will start testing from around 11th onwards as I’m a total poas addict.

I say I think that’s when my af is due because in the past my cycles have been around 37 dats long. Ovulating around cd22.

But thus cycle I took soy isoflavones after researching about them, hearing they can bring ovulation forward, and amazingly I got my positive ovulation test on cd14! So if my luteal phase remains the same which I think it’s meant to, then I’d be due af 14 days after that (my luteal phase is 14 days long).

I’ve been known to test from 7dpo though so not holding out much hope of me staying strong 😂 that’s the trouble with having a ton of ic tests burning a hole in my drawer!

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks lovely, we did get pregnant last year with fertility treatment but sadly miscarried at 12 weeks. We're hopeful this next level of treatment will be successful 🤞🏻 hope you get your BFP soon too x

Hi everyone

Just thought I'd give you a quick update. The medication did not work so when I did a test it was still positive so I had to have a D&C procedure which was 2 weeks ago Wednesday. My tests are already back to negative now and I have recovered pretty quickly.

I've started taking folic acid again ready to get back on the bus - I'm meant to wait to have a normal period before trying again but I'm not sure I can hold out much longer. We haven't DTD for over a month now I think I'm having withdrawal symptoms.

I'm hoping it will be third time lucky next time I get a BFP.

@BabyDust13 good to hear from you, sounds like you've been through the ringer! Sorry to hear this but glad to hear you're doing ok. I'm ok thanks. Just waiting to ov at the minute so trying to find the energy to dtd as works stressing me out I'm not really in the mood! Month 11 and cycle 12 for me. Hoping it's not too much longer now and I can finally conceive! So much luck to you 🍀🤞🏾

I’m sorry you ended up having to go through a d&c after everything but glad to hear you’re recovering quickly.

Don’t they only say to wait to have a period for dating purposes if you fall pregnant straight away?

If that’s the case and it’s not for any other reason I’d just crack on with ttc! They’ll soon be able to date you with a scan if needs be.
But going without sex for a month, you poor thing, I’m not surprised you’re having withdrawal 😅

I’m 7dpo today and had my day 21 bloods done for progesterone. Oh also did his semen analysis test today so that’s the last of our tests done. Just have to wait for the fertility consultant to get in touch to arrange an appointment to discuss results and next steps if necessary.

This month I didn’t take any soy isoflavones and ovulated on cd16, so earlier than I used to (cd22), but later than when I take the soy (cd13-14).

Based on my 13 day lp I’m due af on 10th. Trying desperately to hold out a little longer before testing but in reality will start tomorrow 🙈 I don’t feel pregnant, so not expecting anything but I’d rather see a bfp early even if it turns into a chemical just so I can inform the consultant.

I started taking a low dose of aspirin from ovulation, and I’m still taking ubiquinol but tbh I just want to get our test results now and know what’s wrong with me.

Praying you get your bfp really fast!!!

@Moominmiss thank to be honest I don't think we'll wait mainly because I'm pulling my hair out 😂 I'm sure my oh won't mind if I jump on him

I'm glad you've had some tests if nothing else it will put your mind at ease or help with the process

Trying to conceive/early pregnancy is such a minefield of emotions I honestly had no idea before we started trying. Definitely had some rose tinted glasses on

But if you believe in such things apparently everything happens for a reason 🌈

@BabyDust13 thank you. Yeah it is! Managed an early morning bunk up so that's today sorted! I think mornings are better, before you have to face the stress of the day! I'm sure your rainbow baby will come soon!

I'm 6dpo and got my day 21 bloods tomorrow 😬

I'm all good got my negative pregnancy test last week so we are back trying again.

I have no clue where I am in my cycle but I did an ovulation stick today even though I said I was going to relax more but I guess I just had withdrawals from peeing on sticks

I may have missed a previous post but are you having your bloods done every cycle now or just this one?

Hey @BabyDust13 I’m good thank you. No results as such yet, I had a text from the surgery to say my 21 day bloods were ‘normal’ so no idea what that means my levels were. So now the fertility consultant should have all our combined test results so just waiting to hear from them with an appointment or what the next steps are.
Mum currently cd3 so started my soy isoflavones today. I didn’t take them last month as I was having the tests done so didn’t want anything to affect the results of those or throw my cycles off at all. Without them I still ovulated way earlier than I used to, used to be cd22 but last month even without them it was cd16 which is way better.

Starting to find the whole ttc thing really really tedious now though. Like this is cycle 11 of trying and I’m just so frustrated that we’re no further forward. 3 losses, no answers and nothing happening.
I’d always loved the idea of a may or June baby but that would mean it has to be this month or next and honestly I just don’t see it happening.
I’m actually trying to prepare myself for the fact I might not have anymore. My oh is fine either way, he’d be happy to have one of his own but equally he’d happily stay as we are. He says he never contemplated having kids of his own until he met me, and would be fine without one, although he does admit he’d obviously love one. So I feel if it can’t or doesn’t happen for us it’ll only be me that it upsets really.

How close are you to ovulation then? Was the line as dark or darker than the control line? Get the premom or femometer app then you can take photos of the test, upload into the app and it’ll tell you if it’s high, low, or peak. No guessing the lines lol.

@BabyDust13 glad you're getting bk to normal now! I'm getting day 21 tomorrow which is actually day 17 for me as short cycles. I'm getting my day 3's next Friday but on day 2 for the same reason. Then will badger for an ultrasound as my hospital still aren't doing routine appointments yet.

@Moominmiss I hope the consultant has some news for you soon at least then you'll hopefully have an answer and be able to go forward with a new plan

Your OH sounds very calm and relaxed about everything my oh is the same it really helps me stay level headed he's been my rock the last few months

I meant to post a pic of the test it wasn't as dark as the control line but was def there might do another one shortly or just keep DTD everyday for the next few days

@notyetamumbuttrying hopefully you can get an ultrasound soon but it must feel a bit reassuring to have the tests started already 🙂

I knew it was the start of your bfp when you posted your first pic. I’m so so pleased for you.

I’m sure this time will be it for you!

I’m currently cd6 and had a scan with our fertility consultant this morning, she was checking how many follicles I have and the general condition of my uterus.

She said all looked great for my age. Plenty of follicles on my right ovary, slightly less on my left but all great. She said my uterus is in excellent condition and that she could see my s card section scar and it looked perfect. So that was good to hear as it had been something I’d been worried about.

She said basically keep trying as we are, the likelihood is that my losses have been down to just bad luck with poorer quality eggs getting fertilised. She said obviously with my age there’s nothing that can alter that, but to keep trying in the hope that I still have some better quality eggs.

She said ivf would be an option for us (privately, not nhs obviously), but for now she sees no reason we shouldn’t carry on and try naturally.

I’m not sure if we’d go the ivf route mainly due to the costs involved, but will see how things got for the next 12 months or so naturally.

Just nice to hear that all our test results, semen analysis and scans have all been great and it’s basically just my age that’s likely the issue (which is crap but what we already knew anyway).

@BabyDust13 I really honestly don’t think you have anything to worry about this time. Your lines look great and I’m betting af will stay away!

I know if I’m ever lucky enough to get a bfp to stick again past af due date I’ll be booking an early scan for 7/8 weeks. If you book one I know it seems like it’s ages away but it’ll come around before you know it!!
