AF arrived today - Testing end of May / early June buddies

Thought I’d make a thread for anyone who may be having a visit from AF currently and be testing similar time to me.

I’m 29, boyfriend is 27
TTC baby number 1, cycle 2 (ish.. we half tried last month but didn’t track anything!)
Trying SMEP this month
AF came today and is due 30th May

If everyone is on a similar date and wants to support each other then feel free to jump on 🙋🏼‍♀️☀️❤️

Hi @Naera95, good luck for this month. Only CD2 at the moment but also trying SMEP this month for first time so fingers crossed! We use preseed and can recommend but would advise using a bit less than it suggests as we’ve found a little goes a long way.
Does anyone take any extra vitamins or supplements? My periods are fairly regular at 27 days so not sure if anything more than normal prenatal vitamins would change anything?

Hello! AF has arrived for my today so into cycle #5. Feeling a bit crappy about it and worried about a short LP so ordering some pregnacare today to ty & feel like I’m doing something positive!

Me & DH are also going to cut right back on caffeine this month as we are drinking ALOT on lockdown at the moment! Fingers crossed that all helps.

I’ll be testing 28th May if I manage to have a 25 day cycle (currently ranging from 22-27 days)

I am cd11 now... Due to ovulate in approx 6 days by femometer predictions!
Hows everyone else doing?

@motherofdinosau I am cycle day 11 now too. Usually ovulate around CD 12-14. So very excited!!! This is our 10 month trying with no pregnancies what so ever. So hoping this is our month x

I'm on CD8 now so started testing with clear blue digital ovulation test for the first time this morning as I'd been trying to avoid OPKs. I normally seem to ovulate quite late and have a short LP so I'm hoping the Vit B6 and Agnus Castus will make a difference this time. We are going to follow smep this month rather than DTD every other day. How's everyone else getting on?

CD8 for me too! Also following SMEP so will DTD tonight and then again Saturday and will start ovulation testing from Saturday x

I'll be due 31st May. AF arrived yesterday - early I think but I haven't had a regular cycle really since coming off pill. One long one 15 days and then a 23 and a 25. All going in right direction. Did SMEP last month and will be this month too. 37 and hoping to try and squeeze baby number 2 in before my 38th birthday! Last time conceived in one month so felt stupidly hopeful for this first proper month!!

Celebrating AF with two caffeinated coffees today and a Diet Coke!! Both things I have been trying to avoid! Fingers crossed for this month for everyone!

Like others been worried about short LP but think that cycles are just getting back to normal. Never taking that bloody pill again!

Thinking of ordering some preseed this month too. Been on pregnacare for a couple of months now.

UGH, I think I'll be out this month. We have only managed DTD once, on CD13 and I'm yet to ovulate. Now my DH is sick (not Covid-19) and we probably won't be able to go again before I ovulate, which is probably going to happen tomorrow or Saturday. I know it's possible we might catch still, but we'll be the luckiest SOBs alive if we do. Can't help feeling a bit down about it, totally no-one's fault and things happen... but every new month you have to wait is such a downer.

Hello everyone, may I join? I'm on CD10 and usually ovulate CD14-16. This will be our first month TTC (first baby) after delaying last month due to Covid. I came off the pill around 3 years ago and it took a good year for my cycles to get back to normal (having been on it over 12 years), but all seems to be ok now. I am a little concerned as DP has previously been on medication that depletes fertility.

We are 30 and 33. I am taking additional folic acid because of coeliac disease.

How’s everyone getting on? Currently CD13 and still having a negative OPK. So currently BD every other day until we get our positive and then BD for 3 days straight. Hoping hubby won’t get to tired as feeling very positive this month.

I'm now CD 15 and still getting negative OPKs, starting to get a bit concerned. This is my first month properly tracking ovulation so this may be normal for me. I have a 28 day cycle, does anyone else ovulate later than day 14?

@Elking18 yes I have cycles 28-30 & ovulate around day 17, well I ovulated then last month as I used Clearblue digital ovulation test & got my period CD29 that month

Hi ladies, I'm CD9 today and we've decided to dtd every day this month from CD5 which DH is elated about!

This will be our second month trying. Last month I tracked ovulation and spent way too much time symptom spotting. Also tested too early and got faint positives which resulted in much excitement only for AF to appear.

So, this month I'm taking a different approach. Not going to bother with the ovulation tests, no symptom spotting and definitely not testing early this month and will just wait for AF to arrive (or hopefully not!)

Im cd14 and dtd last night... Past two months ive not got peak opk till approx cd17/18 and ive just done my opk for today and got a blazing peak!!
Looks like cycle may be regulating again (every 28 days for years but had flu at xmas and been 32/34 days since then!).
Will dtd tonight, tomorrow, monday and tuesday 🤞🤞

@Elking18 yes i have! This is last months opk's... My peak was cd18

I'm terrible at this OPK thing. I buy cheap ones but not convinced they're very good. Got ones from wilko. Any suggestions on the best ones? Xx

@lag1986 i buy mine from £land... 5 strips for £1. I usually test in the afternoon & Today i did my opk test with a 6 hour hold. I can feel im ovulating now... Stinging pain and mainly on the left side. Very uncomfortable to sit down for too long... Has been like it for about 4/5 hours now. Have had strong ovu pain since having my eldest (5) and dr checked and said all ok. Good signs that my body is doing something i guess 💕

@motherofdinosau I never get symptoms for ovulation. Nothing. But get regular periods, so obviously I am ovulating. Would be nice to get a big hint though to start dtd more. Haha. Month 4 trying for us now. Fingers crossed it will be our time soon. My first 2 were easy to fall with. Happened unplanned and 1st month. How are you doing? X

@lag1986 what cd are you on now? Have you been doing opk? If you do, stick them in a note book with date and time as its a really helpful visual tracker... You can see the line progression. Or down load an app luke femometer. I have that too and that will grade your lh result as low, high or peak based on a picture. It can take a couple cycles to get used to using them but i find them a big help. Here is a shot of the femometer app...

I’m back in! DH is feeling much better so we were able to DTD this morning ☺️ Just got my static smiley and have had ovulation cramps on/off today. Fingers crossed we hit this right on. Now entering the TWW

@motherofdinosau day 13 today. EEKKKK. So need to dtd tonight for sure. Cant wait to get BFP!!!! Seems like it's taking forever. And it hasnt even been that long. Must be awful to be trying for a year+. :(

CD16 today and still getting negatives on my OPKs. Trying to stay positive... strange as I feel like im having my usual ovulation pains, but last month I got my positive opk on day 14!
