AF arrived today - Testing end of May / early June buddies

Thought I’d make a thread for anyone who may be having a visit from AF currently and be testing similar time to me.

I’m 29, boyfriend is 27
TTC baby number 1, cycle 2 (ish.. we half tried last month but didn’t track anything!)
Trying SMEP this month
AF came today and is due 30th May

If everyone is on a similar date and wants to support each other then feel free to jump on 🙋🏼‍♀️☀️❤️

I'm due at 25th. Wont test unless shes late xx

Hey, first time here, hope it’s ok to jump on. I’m 34 and OH is 35. Just started trying this year. I’m 8 DPO now and sending myself insane as per.

I always get sore boobs and feel nauseous after ovulation which is a nice mind-bend for me. Was feeling more nauseous/ cranky/ tired than usual the last few days and my nipples are like daggers. I feel like I could be tricking myself into feeling like that though. Especially in lockdown where I have plenty of time to over think it!

Only thing that is odd for me is the past two day when I’ve wiped I’ve seen a few drops of faint pinkish blood. Only very tiny amount on the paper. I’ve never had this before. Anyone else?

Anyway, I’ll try and put my obsessions to bed for tonight. Good luck to everyone for this month.

I’m deliberately not buying any FRERs as I know I’ll start testing a week early 🙈

Ladies, I am relatively new to this. I am TTC #2 and am on my 2nd cycle since a MMC in Feb. I am using OPK's for the first time and have tested with the CB 2 day digital tests every day since CD10. I'm currently on CD15 (normal cycle length 28-31 days) but haven't seen a smiley face. That's ok as given my cycle length, I could still have a LH surge in the next few days BUT I bought some cheaper test strips so I could see line progressions and there was NO test line at all. The control line was present, but not even a faint test line. Is this strange for CD15 on a 31ish day cycle? Surely I should see a faint line indicating that my surge is on its way in a few days time? All of the progression pictures I have seen show a faint line early in the cycle e.g. CD8 that just gets darker until the LH surge. Any ideas why mine is completely missing?

Depending on if/when I ovulate I think I'll be testing around 4 June (??) Feels absolutely ages away!!

I'm waiting to see when I ovulate this month as just came off the pill end of April. Before the pill my cycles were about 31 days and I had a pretty consistent luteal length of 13 days so all depends on the ov day... I've been temping and using cheapie OPKs but so far have low temp and zero results on OPKs. My temp actually seems to be dropping lower and lower as the month goes on!

CD18 today and the apps are all predicting ov day today or tomorrow but no signs anything is happening!! 🙈

@RiverRoo All my apps predicted I would ovulate on 13/14th and I didn’t get positive until 16th which was CD18

@Amy00 mine is a 31-33 cycle too and CD18 makes sense for OV day for you
But I know what you mean, I don’t think I particularly felt any OV pains either this cycle ...
What are your normal ovulation symptoms?

@RiverRoo I’ve had cycles where LH surge was literally an afternoon before my OV day and that’s it so I would say at CD15 that’s normal. I think if you were using CB advanced digital , I bet you’d have had flashing smileys for instance but that’s just sign of estrogen rise not LH...I would worry! Just DTD every other day :)

Would you say this is a positive opk or am I just at my peak? I am on my second month TTC (trying to conceive) after being on the pill for 13+ years, and first month trying to track my ovulation! I am on day CD18 but very tired (I work in hospital and just spent my days off painting and pulling all the carpets up in my house!) anyway we are hoping to DTD (doing the deed) tonight when I finish work. We last had sex on CD (cycle day) 16. Would I miss it for this month really if we don’t, should we do it today and tomorrow really?

@Ary123 It does look pretty dark - do you have the Premom app? You can add your tests in there and it says whether it is low or high etc.

I'd DTD today and just continue testing?

@RDC2020 thanks! I went a little crazy with the pregnancy tests last month as I kept seeing faint lines (I think it was a CP) so I don’t know how I’m going to manage this month!

Hi ladies, my first MN post after lots of reading for quite a while. I’m currently 2dpo (I think) with AF due on 31 May.

I’m nearly 35, my husband is 36. This is the first month we’re trying the ‘not trying to avoid pregnancy’ method. I came off the pill last August accidentally after the one I was on was unavailable, my cycles went back to normal pretty much right away. It doesn’t feel like now is the perfect timing to TTC as we’re due to move when lockdown eases here (I’m in Wales) and then we’ll be moving in with my parents until we buy our next house, but I’d ideally like to have a baby before I’m 36 so we’ve decided to go for it.

This is the first time I’ve ever tried to not prevent pregnancy, I have small moments of panicked ‘omg what are we doing!’

He’s picked a weird time to agree to be fair but I’m made up! Good luck to you, think of all the childcare help you will get. It could be turn out to be good timing x
