Hi there,
I’m very new to mumsnet and in my first month of trying to conceive.
All the info out there is really overwhelming and just wanted to start a thread for the people in the same boat.

I’m sure everyone is fully aware of what’s going on right now, but maybe it’s nice for us to have a bit of normality and to talk about something positive with others who are going through the same thing. We have no idea of everyone else’s personal circumstances and situations. Fully appreciate you don’t agree with it, but I’m not sure it’s necessary for you to go out of your way to negatively comment on it when you could have just clicked off the thread.

@tiggertogger I think you should mind your own business and kindly refrain from commenting on this post. Anything else you post I'm just going to ignore you and hope everyone else does too.
You're entitled to your own opinion but you have no right to judge what we do with our lives and the choices we make. If you follow the news which it sounds like you do, you will see that Wuhan is tentatively coming out of lockdown today. A lot can happen in 9 months and with around 20% chance of conception every month I'm willing to take my chances!

So anyway ladies, I’m crossing my fingers for all of you :) TTC is an exciting and nervous time for everyone so want to keep this thread nice and positive and supportive.

@NJ2910 I feel this same, this week is dragging so much but I wouldn’t expect anything else as it’s the last few days before most of us find out. Roll on the Easter weekend when hopefully we will have some positive results on here!!

Sending love and support to all of you :)

Crossing my fingers and sending masses of baby dust to all too 🤞🏻 ✨✨

Nic2908 · 08/04/2020 14:55

@KateColx that sounds super promising!! I have everything crossed for you. I have just woken up after working nights last nights. Stored my "fmu" as hubby isnt home for an hour and then will sit and think about what to do. I am so incredibly bloated, windy Hmm and constipated. But that could all just be dietry too I guess, but then also had cramps. No bleeding though.

KateColx · 08/04/2020 15:14

@Nic2908 Eeek that’s exciting!! When would your period be due? That’s half the problem isn’t it, all of these early symptoms are also common for so many other things too, it’s hard to know if you’re reading too much into it. But if they’re not normal for you, could be a good sign?

I only have one test in the house which is what I think is keeping me from testing early Grin

Nic2908 · 08/04/2020 15:31

@KateColx I'm not sure when my period is due which is the issue as pregnacare.conception really messed up my cycle for thr two months I was taking it. So I'm super confused.

KateColx · 08/04/2020 15:42

@Nic2908 aw no that’s annoying! I had a friend who had the same issue with pregnacare. No harm in testing though I guess if you’re unsure On dates 🥰 let us know how you get on if you do! X

AnnaliseMachin · 08/04/2020 15:52

Hi guys, I’m new to Mumsnet too :) thought I’d join as currently trying to get pregnant, my cycles are quite irregular- sometimes even going 4 months without one and sometimes they’re completely normal 😩 My last period was in February and have been ttc ever since!... Taken one test so far, which was negative..Going to wait another week to see what happens Smile

Nic2908 · 08/04/2020 16:24

Bloody husband has picked up Last min overtime at work whilst it is there. Looks like today is not the day to take a test as I really dont want to take it without him.

Gsr14 · 08/04/2020 16:49

@Nic2908 totally understand that, either way the test goes it’s nice to have the other half there to celebrate if positive with or for support if negative.

I think I’m going to wait until Saturday, feels like a good day to do it so I can go on a big walk after to clear my head if I need to.

@AnnaliseMachin that’s so annoying that you can’t track your cycle! are you using ovulation tests?

OP posts:
AnnaliseMachin · 08/04/2020 17:01

No I haven’t yet! But will be if I’m not pregnant by this cycle, I assumed it would be a pretty easy process as I have gotten pregnant twice when we was not trying when me and the husband first got together, sadly both ended in early miscarriage xx

Nic2908 · 09/04/2020 06:27

Got up and did a FRER this morning. 11dpo. You guys see that right?? There is a pink line. Totally second guessing myself only have the one test too. What do you think??

KateColx · 09/04/2020 06:44

@Nic2908 there’s definitely a second pink line there!!! Eeeek. Congratulations 🥰🥰 x

Nic2908 · 09/04/2020 06:52

I'm going to go out later and get another test... I love mumsnet it's great but never even heard of an evap line before .... or chemical pregnancies and I'm full of doubt.

NJ2910 · 09/04/2020 07:13

Omg @Nic2908 I definitely see that! Congratulations 💛 I know what you mean about the full of doubt though- previously if I got the result you have, I would have just been like yes I'm pregnant whereas now I would be like is it evap line etc? Fingers crossed for you though as that line looks very promising 😊 keep us updated!!!

Natt99 · 09/04/2020 07:46

Omg @NJ2910 that definitely looks positive! Tentative congratulations 💐 know what you mean, all the other threads make you think you can't just trust a test but I think a pink line however faint is good. Apparently the digital clear blue ones aren't very sensitive btw. Please keep us posted x

Natt99 · 09/04/2020 07:47

Sorry @Nic2908 congratulation to 💐 tagged the wrong person in my excitement x

KateColx · 09/04/2020 08:35

@Nic2908 ah I know what you mean, but try not to over think it, there’s no reason to be worried ☺️

I took a test this morning but it showed as negative 👎 the light cramping continued over night but no more signs of spotting since yesterday. AF isn’t due until Sunday so I’m just going to have to wait and see I guess. I have ordered some first response tests though which should be here tomorrow.

Hope you’re all okay ☺️ X

Gsr14 · 09/04/2020 08:35

This is so exciting! I see the line too but totally understand what you mean about having some doubt, please keep us posted if you do another test but for the time being congratulation! Big smile on my face this morning for you 😊
