Long Cycle girls TTC :)

Hi everyone who read this! My typical cycle is 34-37 days long but everyone I talk to seems to have shorter cycles. I'm looking for others like myself who have long cycles and are ttc :) we are trying for our first baby x

@fujexa I think perhaps you’re peeing on the wrong sort of stick... have you taken a pregnancy test? Opk’s can pick up on hcg too.

@Pol96 aww that'll be a lovely thing to do on Father's Day :) so cute. I have a Pinterest board of how I'm going to tell my parents when I eventually get pregnant 😂😂

@hollywhooo you've got me started on the baby names board now!! Haha I've picked out a girls name and a boys name already, hoping none of my 5 pregnant friends use them 😂 I've got one step pregnancy tests but I refuse to test early this month :)

@Fujexa sounds like your body is still getting back to normal!! Mine took so long, hate the pill :( keep testing anyway. Also would recommend temping too :)

@xoJellyBean haha that’s it now you’ll be addicted. We’ve pretty much had 2 boys names picked since we started TTC and every time a friend has a baby i’m on pins that they’ll use them hahahaaa
@Fujexa i agree it sounds like the pill problems. I came off mine over a year ago and mine are still not at all regular, having said that i was irregular before i started taking it x

Same with pill issues! Was totally regular before going on them and has been a total sh** show since I came off.

I’ve already got my boy and girl names 🙈🤣

I came off my pill in October 2018 😭 wish I never ever did!

Haha I don't think it's possible, although now you've planted a seed of doubt I might just test in case!!

Thanks for the input girls, if it is just pill related then that might not be the worst thing it could be... Maybe I should start temping to get more info again. Bit frustrating not knowing if I can ovulate.

Stupid question, but how do you all actually take your temps? Haven't had my temperature taken since I was a child and that was a forehead strip thingy.

@Fujexa how did you do the quotes?🤣 just google a bbt thermometer, just pop it in your mouth for 1 min I think it is :)

@xoJellyBean I'm on the internet browser on my phone and i just clicked the 3 dots to the right of the post and it gave me the option thanks for the info, I'll look into that! Had a feeling our childhood thermometers were a bit outdated

@fujexa always worth checking just in case. Like jellybean has said, just a digital thermometer (to 2 decimals), in your mouth under the tongue until it registers. I use a Femometer one I got off amazon for £10.

@xoJellyBean that’s still a rise! Haha. I had a rise too, but nothing I’ve not had before? 36.13 to 36.38. Let’s hope ours both keep rising 🤞🏼

@Newbie0818 my app finally told me I ovulated on 3rd of June lol does this make you 2dpo today?

@Pol96 yup you sure did! I love knowing when I ovulated as every other month has been a guessing game lol are you feeling any better about your scan?

@Newbie0818 I'd be so happy if we both got bfps this month! I'm also so so moody today, I've snapped at my hubby twice this morning so obviously my pms hormones are kicking in 😂 isn't it progesterone that's on the rise now?

@xoJellyBean it's so much nicer knowing you're actually in the TWW isn't it!? I'm just trying not to think about it.. Nhs one isn't for around 5 weeks time so just see how it goes with partners being allowed.. If they're not about 2 weeks before we'll get one for a week before the NHS scan.

When will you be testing? X

@Fujexa I definitely recommend tracking bbt, it really helps you to know your cycles

@xoJellyBean I hear you on the progesterone dip, I’m EXHAUSTED today and so snappy 😣 got a banging headache too. I could eat 10 thousand pizzas too. I’m taking it as a good sign though! I really hope it’s our month! Remind me how long you’ve been ttc for again?

Thank you both for recommending temping to me weeks ago btw, I feel so much calmer now I’m pretty certain I’ve ovulated 💆🏼‍♀️

@Newbie0818 the exhaustion will only get worse! My oh is super supportive and very excited, he's filled his amazon basket with lots of baby things already, but told him not to buy anything till after the scan lol

You're very welcome about the temping advice, it is so reassuring to know when you ovulated. I do recommend stopping temping shortly after getting a bfp as it can get very stressful. X

@Newbie0818 all good with me :) nothing to report, no symptoms, nothing!!! I’ve had a few days off work which has been lovely but looking forward to getting back so that i’ve got a distraction & hopefully the TWW will fly by!! X x

@pol96 I’ll put up with any symptoms as long as it means I get a BFP 😂 Aw bless him! Once you’ve had your scan you can both start nesting and enjoy it properly 🥰
