Long Cycle girls TTC :)

Hi everyone who read this! My typical cycle is 34-37 days long but everyone I talk to seems to have shorter cycles. I'm looking for others like myself who have long cycles and are ttc :) we are trying for our first baby x

@Newbie0818 I don't know I thought it was supposed to be on the day of ovulation but it looks like for me it was the day before. Still a little confused if I'm honest. But I definitely think it was yesterday I ovulated, that's when the EWCM turned up (sorry tmi) and my opks dropped back negative yesterday when they we're still very strongly positive the day before, I also had some cramps and a pinching on my right side

@SarahTTC2020 I'd like to be able to blame it on the fact we're newlyweds but we've been like it since we moved it together years ago 😂 just high sex drives I guess but we get really bad in my fertile window, even before we started TTC 😂

Haha @DB20 I think mine is higher than my husband's, I got used to getting it less than I wanted so TTC is a nice excuse to work on our sex life again!
Although since ov I haven't been the least bit horny!

Months between periods! 🙋🏼‍♀️
For as long as I can remember my cycle has been very irregular. I’m talking a cycle every 4/5 months. I went on the combo pill to try and kickstart it at 18 and then came off it at 20 and back on again from 21-23. I had a bleed every break.
I’ve been TTC (trying to conceive) for almost a year now but my periods have been even more all over the place. Timeline-
20th August- 2020- came off pill
Withdrawal bleed
October 2020 - period
Feb 2020- forced period (meds from doctor)
Nothing since...
I’ve had all the tests under the sun, bloods PCOS and all came back totally fine?! I don’t know where to go next 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hey ladies, so AF has now gone and I’m CD6 so hoping that this cycle might not be quite as long. Last one was 63days which seemed like forever. Been taking Angus castus now for about 5weeks but with 2week break after ovulation. Is anyone taking it?

@acmj I've heard of people bringing their cycle times down by Agnus castus, or by taking myo-insitol (Martin MacDonald on insta has good info on that). @gynaegeek on insta also did a good post on people having crazy cycles in lockdown x

Hi @ACMJ I know how you feel. I came off the pill over 2yrs ago and it took 20months to have a period. I now have irregular periods but they seem to be getting better slowly. Have you been referred to the hospital?

@SarahTTC2020 thank you I will look into both of these! It’s mad honestly wanting something that should be natural anyway!
@suki2020 no way that’s such a long time! Makes you feel awful doesn’t it. Don’t know about you but I keep feeling like I’m going to come on but then never do!! I was referred for an internal ultrasound which came back normal and with my normal bloods they ruled out PCOS. My doctors haven’t been the best with all this and keep telling me to ‘wait it out’ but then everything happened with Covid-19 and they have much bigger problems now to deal with! Just waiting in the wings- looking at going private

@ACMJ well at least you don’t have PCOS I guess. I’m waiting for a scan, mine got cancelled at end of March and now been cancelled for July to. I get that I’ll have to wait longer due to covid but we’ll just keep trying in the meantime.

My husband has thought I've gone mad this past week lying for ages after with my legs in the air 🤣 My thighs ache from it 🤣🤣
I've had a higher temp for 2 days now so really hopeful 🤞 it's not as high as I expected though

@xoJellyBean it’s Flo, though I’ve also been using fertility friend as I like the chart.

@DB20 I did but only to my usual temp, so not much of a jump. I’ll see tomorrow morning if it’s risen again I guess? Fingers crossed you did!

CD16 and still negative opks, I hate doing these cause they make me worry so much! But I guess we have to learn our cycles somehow?!

@xoJellyBean I actually haven’t bothered this month as I found it too stressful last month, it’s only by luck I caught it on an opk on cd43 and that was just because I thought I might be pg! Hope you get your positive opk soon 🤞🏼

Right I have a tmi question. I know what cm is theoretically meant to look like, and the last few days I’ve been very “wet” but not slippery or massive amounts. I’m not sure whether to log it as no cm? It’s clear. Any ideas?

@newbie0818 I had lots of ewcm when I wiped for a couple of days when I also got positive opk. That was very wet for me, since then I've been pretty dry but had a bit more today which wasn't clear.
I think just make a note of it, worth keeping track even if you're just learning

So I'm 6dpo and AF isn't due until 11th.... So by that time I'd be like 17dpo - loads of people test way earlier than that!
What are your long cycle thoughts? Try and be patient and wait for AF date?

I’ve been having a break from OPKs as i was sick of nothing happening, but had lots of CM today so thought i’d do one. Not quite positive but this dark for me so 🤞🏼 for AF soon...109 day cycle and counting!!!
