Hi everyone who read this! My typical cycle is 34-37 days long but everyone I talk to seems to have shorter cycles. I'm looking for others like myself who have long cycles and are ttc :) we are trying for our first baby x

@Pol96 I’ve only been doing once a day due to it being so light. But today I got the darkest one I’ve had so I will do another one when I get back from work later

@Suki2020 do it shows you when you ovulated (vertical line) and then what your cover line is (horizontal) hopefully it stays up for you x

@Runnergirl1 ooh that looks really promising!

fifi1989 · 19/05/2020 13:47

@Runnergirl1 Def test again this eve and tomorrow morning, my OPKs always get gradually darker like that just before the peak. Looking good!

Sorry if this is TMI, but have any of you experienced your periods getting lighter with longer cycles? I've just finished my period and only had 1,5 day of 'proper' bleeding but 3 days of spotting (2 before, 1 after) this month.

Suki2020 · 19/05/2020 13:54

Sorry @Pol96 to keep asking you loads of questions.

Pol96 · 19/05/2020 14:06

@Suki2020 no worries! I'll help as much as I can! X

Runnergirl1 · 19/05/2020 18:59

So ladies I managed to do a clear blue ovulation test tonight after work and it’s a big smiley face. Never been so excited. Opk is slightly weaker though so need to get on OH today and maybe the morning 🤞🏻

@Runnergirl1 that's great!

Newbie0818 · 20/05/2020 09:30

@Runnergirl1 yay! Awesome.

@fifi1989 mine are so much lighter than when I was on the pill, and seem to be getting lighter the longer my cycles are. I’ll have maybe 2 days of “proper bleeding” and 3 spotting minorly. In a way it’s nice.

Hello ladies, It's my first time posting on MN. ☺️ I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I have fairly longer than average cycles (I think?) roughly 32-40 days so not as long as some of you unfortunately do.
DH and I got married in March and have been ttc since the cycle before so fairly new. I was on the pill from the age of 14 to almost 25. I went on it so young because I had really heavy periods but I don't really remember the length of my cycle, surely I'd remember them being longer than they should be at that age? . Anyway I came off it in December 2018 to give my body time to work itself out as I knew we would want to start trying as soon as we were married and it was also starting to cause me migraines. Since coming off I've found my periods are actually fairly light now, still get some horrendous cramps, but it's worried me how long my cycle is. I've started temping and using opks with Premom this cycle in the hope of figuring out if/when I ovulate. Im worried if I'm doing it right, I know its early days but does this chart look about right? I also went vegetarian last autumn and think that may have stopped me ovulating for a while? Since coming off the pill I was getting quite obvious EWCM (sorry tmi) but from sept- mar it stopped coming. Since the wedding I'm eating meat again and last cycle for the first cycle since I got it around cycle day 22. I know it's early days and Im probably worrying too much but I've terrified myself that I've somehow broken myself being on the pill so long. I had such a breakdown when my last period arrived. 😔 All I've ever wanted is to be a mummy and everyone knows that so I've already got family members asking if I'm pregnant yet. On the 1st day of my last period (obvs she didn't know it was) the MIL said to get a move on because they want a Christmas baby (it was too late to even be possible now!) and it really hurt, at this early stage it shouldn't be anyone else's business but mine and DH. I feel so pressured already and I am dreading if it takes us a long time. I don't really know why I'm telling my whole story it's just good to get it out to people who understand I suppose 🙈

Thanks ladies and sorry for such a long rambling post ☺️

It won't let me post my chart as I'm new, but my bbt has been between 35.91- 36.10 and I'm now on cycle day 8. I started temping on day 2. Does that sound about right?

xoJellyBean · 20/05/2020 10:33

I've decided to stop ttc for a few months. Going to focus on myself and being healthier! Since lockdown I have gained some weight, got my picture taken yesterday and I'm horrified!! Lol. Just going to track my cycles more & get my weight back down again :) maybe that will help!

@xoJellyBean good luck with everything x

Newbie0818 · 20/05/2020 18:05

@DB20 your story sounds so similar to mine in terms of the pill and coming off, family pressure etc. I’m still fairly new to temping as I’ve only started doing it just over a week ago but my temps have been around 36.1-36.4. Everybody’s body is different though. My period is also a lot lighter since coming off the pill, and the last two cycles were ridiculous. But onwards and upwards. What I can say is you’re not rambling, and everyone on here is so lovely and supportive, so if you ever need anything don’t hesitate to let it out. I would recommend Preseed lube if you’re struggling with the ewcm though. Welcome :)

@xoJellyBean hope you’re ok, and good luck with everything x

Pol96 · 21/05/2020 08:12

@xoJellyBean good luck with everything, thank you for being there for me too xx

Suki2020 · 23/05/2020 10:41

Hey ladies, how are you all doing? So I’m 13dpo today and my temp dropped this morning. Af isn’t dues until tues/wed. I’ve had cramps on and off this morning and I have very slight pink/brown when I wipe. Never had this before Confused

Pol96 · 23/05/2020 11:05

@Suki2020 could be promising 🤞 has your temp stayed up?

Suki2020 · 23/05/2020 11:09

@pol96 it dropped a little this morning but I woke up really early

Long Cycle girls TTC :)
Pol96 · 23/05/2020 12:15

@Suki2020 and its dropped to that before and risen again going by your chart.. Fingers crossed for you x

Newbie0818 · 23/05/2020 12:35

@Suki2020 I’m good, though I had cramps last night that woke me up. Only cd11 so ovulation is still probably a way off. Not really sure what to expect from my chart so I guess it’s just a waiting game. Been DTD every other day so that’s all I can do really 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve not really seen many charts and haven’t charted in my luteal phase yet so going by what the others have said hopefully it’s a good sign? Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼✨

Suki2020 · 23/05/2020 13:18

Thanks @newbie0818. How long are you cycles normally?

Newbie0818 · 23/05/2020 14:29

@Suki2020 that’s anyone’s guess 🤣 they’ve been 32,33,36,42,56 since I stopped the pill, 56 being the most recent one.

doublecheeseburgermediumfries · 23/05/2020 16:43

Hi guys, I introduced myself back in April but not been back since😱

Currently waiting for AF to arrive so we can start PROPERLY in June. My last cycle was 32 days which is really short for me. I'm usually 40+ day cycle. My app says she's due on June 12th so feel like it's ages away!

I think I ovulated last week, I had really bad ovulation pain and a bit of EWCM. It's a pain though because my app suggests ovulation will be tomorrow but when I did a clear blue test, the result was an empty circle and I would have expected a flashy smile so think I might bin off the app and get some cheapies even though I've always said that's something I want to try and avoid as I know I'll get obsessive 😂

How is everyone?

Suki2020 · 24/05/2020 08:51

Hey @doublecheeseburgermediumfries what app are you using?

doublecheeseburgermediumfries · 24/05/2020 14:50

@Suki2020 it's called cycles. I read an article online that had a list of quite a few different ones and went for this one. Your partner can link up to it so they can be involved too.
You can log your cycle, mood, body (cramps/acne/tender breasts etc), spotting and other bits.

Suki2020 · 24/05/2020 20:59

@doublecheeseburgermediumfries ah ok. I use fertility friend and Femometer to track mine
