@LV1987 I'm all fairness, quiche or a quickie would be a tough one for me as well.... throw the FW in the mix though and I'd sacrifice the quiche for sure (I'd probably sacrifice a lot of things...)

@Missgoldilocks yeah I guess you're right. I was a bit apprehensive to mention self insemination to DH, but I'm sure he actually suggested it to me when we TTC the first time. Some of the kits are so expensive though, I think we looked at a Stork one? Xx Can I not just use a turkey baster 🙃😂😂

@Beau20 I won't be buying anymore but I've still got a tonne of the green strips left so will just use those I think and DTD every other day again. Plus pre seed! Hopefully we'll come out of lock down in 2 weeks and I can just get a dr's appt! Xx

@Mumofboys17 I think you can do it a lot cheaper! I've read about people just using a soft cup, a syringe and pre-seed.

Full flow for me today, I think I'm going to class today as CD1 which means I had a 30 day cycle and 12 day LP woohoo! For anyone as well who's interested in the RHR theory - it's definitely a thing! I've noticed the same pattern in my heart rates for the last 2 cycles. They seem to follow the same pattern as my temps. Slow rise after
Ovulation, peak about 7-8DPO and then slow drop before AF.

I did a turkey baster before hahahaha didn't really work (in the beginning). Plus I think those syringes are pretty cool because you could get it through the hole of the cervix I think! Or close enough 🕳️😁

@Missgoldilocks so you have changed your name!!! Did you fancy a fresh start?

I know a lady from my area who self inseminated herself so her and her girlfriend could have their own, it worked! I guess it would have to be very quick as sperm wouldn’t last long without being inside!

Btw I recommend Superdrug’s concieve plus over preseed that’s what I used in the end, it’s got lots of vitamins in too so a little extra support!

Dp left for work this morning in a foul mood as apparently I was in a mood! I’m not exactly going to be on cloud 9 I’m stuck in for god knows how long doing endless amounts of housework without any human interaction, his life is the same as still going to work, getting out and seeing people. Men 😫 good job we aren’t in isolation together x

@Missgoldilocks I can't remember what the difference was like 15% compared to 20% or something like, but it certainly worked for us. We were doing both (added SI from Nov) as DH was struggling to finish as he knew he HAD to and it was far from fun anymore. Plus he doesnt have the highest sex drive so every other night in FW was killing him. In Jan neither of us could be bothered and we'd had enough TTC so only used SI (just 3 times) and that was our month.

DH has been very excited to go back to fun DTD since it worked. Sucks to be him though, I'm in a shields up no touchy phase so far haha.

@Quiffy so do they do the deed themselves or are you meant to help them out? Very intrigued by this self insemination thing! My dp would probably want me to do everything as per usual 😂 when we done the Sperm test we had to stop on side of road from hospital and I had to do it!

My dp is the one who is weird with me, maybe because I’m pregnant or it’s the bump but he’s just not as interested as I’m still good to go until 7pm when I fall asleep!

@Missgoldilocks did you really self inseminate? That’s dedication! I do think men struggle with it sometimes.. it’s the pressure, so much easier for us as we can just fake it! Xx

its so hard when TTC, you wanna speak to people experiencing the same thing, DF thinks im crazy and said just wait and see if you get your period or not, he has no idea what us ladies are like haha

I’m 11DPO today, thought I felt a bit nauseous this morning but I’m sure it’s in my head. I’ve got some FRER arriving hopefully today x boobs are a bit sore especially on sides x

@Katie1109 Hi, no didn't test today. Going to try and wait til tomorrow if not Saturday. Still no symptoms though really. Had some light cramping today and yesterday, so maybe AF is coming? Also small amounts of milky white/stringy discharge 😕 just felt my cervix and it's still so high I can barely find it. It's solid now though. X

@Beau20 that's great news for your cycle! Shit that AF came obvs lol but at least there's a little silver lining there 😊 x

@Quiffy ah! That's so cool! I'm definitely gonna try it because it is way too much pressure even for me, it's like as soon as I know we have to do it now I'm not on it I can't even moan Im just there like oh ffs finish🙄 and I used to be so excited for it. Our sex life is like non existent right now because of it honestly so somethings gotta give and I will do the self insemination every time if needed I don't mind! So remind me, do I need a moon Cup for it? Or can we just get the kit that looks like the syringe can go into the cervix and that's it? I'm kind of excited to try lol some hope yet!!

@Sunflower2019 yeah haha we tried it to see if it would work but it was just weird since we didn't have the right tools. Yeh he finds it so hard to finish but also I don't really enjoy the sex anymore, neither of us do! So before we lose our minds somethings gotta change xx

Well we werent suposed to be trying for another year, but DF started getting too excited, so last week said we should start trying now.

I was so shocked, but as I was nearing ovulation, we started right away.

Its unlikey to happen this month, but im fully prepared now with my OPKs for the coming months.

We already have an 11 year old, but she wasnt planned, so this whole thing is exciting. Certainly going to be crazy doing it all again.

@myhappystreak welcome!! It can be a really exciting time when you get to properly start trying. In the nicest way I hope your stay here is short :)

SI actually sounds really interesting. I will definitely suggest it to OH if we get to the 12 month mark.

@Missgoldilocks I know the feeling, literally not even arsed about trying anymore I'm beginning to despise sex! We used to go at least 3 times a week/every other day and now it's like 3-4 times beginning/mid cycle and that's it! After FW I have no interest at all and I think OH is getting fed up too, without actually telling me he is. We've had sex once in 2 weeks!!

Don’t know why I bothered but tested with afternoon wee and it’s BFN. I’m 11DPO so probably no hope for me anymore, right? I’ve still got one more FRER, but I’m not testing till at least Sunday, my af should be here on Saturday x

@Beau20 it's really shit, so glad I have you girls otherwise I'd feel so bloody alone!! I thought the self insemination thing was weird so I didn't tell my sister, no hesitation with you girls you get it!!

@katie1109 sorry you got a bfn 😢 there is still hope you could get a bfp later down the line but I'd say don't test again and see if af comes x
