Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

Hi @Ejb86 Hope youre well. I have looked into it and thought about it but no deffo wont let it stop us trying. Having looked into it and the risks it seems that pregnant women are asked to isolate mainly because women have a lower immune system when pregnant. So just try and be extra cautious following guidance I guess !

Hi @fingerscrossed95 sorry to hear of your loss. I don't use that fertility monitor , I use the CB advanced connected ovulation test. Let us know how you get on with it though :)

Big hugs to all

Re6ecc4 · 25/03/2020 15:41

@Ejb86 sod the MIL haha. We're still going. Just means you have to be careful

Ejb86 · 25/03/2020 15:55

Yeah. Told hubby that I don't want to stop. What if this was the month that we would be successful, then all other months we can't and we chose to miss this one. There would always be that What If?

Ejb86 · 25/03/2020 15:58

@courtneyrenna we're currently on day 10 of isolation. Hubby is working from home until this is all over and little boy is not going to nursery. I am a teacher but have said I'm not going into work due to risk with us being asthmatic. So we're pretty much locked down already anyway. I'd just be even more careful if I got pregnant.

courtneyrenna · 25/03/2020 16:05

I mean what else is there to do in isolation... 🤣🙊 .. seems like the perfect opportunity.. 🤣

Hayleylou89 · 25/03/2020 16:51

Hi all

After starting my cb monitor yest at 8dpo i got a low reading then today cd9 i got a high right away, will the very first test u use always say low no matter what, as its got no previous reading to go off?? - just want to know if i could of missed a peak before the high iv been getting today as my cheapies seemed stronger yesterday afternoon but i used fmu with yesterday cb and pm urine today! Any advice ?!

Hayleylou89 · 25/03/2020 17:11

@courtneyrenna

Can u help with my question below as u use the cb connected xx

courtneyrenna · 25/03/2020 17:32

@Hayleylou89 hi love x I've just looked back on my app and I did get a low reading on both occasions (after MC I got a new holder ) on my very first reading using the holder. Then got a high or peak the second day straight after this low .. I have read some where that these holders are clever and as everyone has different levels of these hormones they start getting used to each womens levels are strengths of them to be able to read the differences . You would think it's too early in your cycle to ovulate . I have a new holder this first month after MC and like I've said before had weird results so I think my holder hasnt picked up on my cycle/levels either yet.

Also interesting the difference in AM and PM urine sample ... CB says to use fmu but I know people say LH surges picked up in PM usually ..

But if you're getting flashing smiley high fertility reading .. that's picking up on rise in eastrogen.. not the LH surge. Keep doing the cheapies through out the day to see what they indicate ? Xxxx

Salamander91 · 25/03/2020 18:21

Hi. Can I join? I had an ERPC at the end of Jan for a MMC. I've finally got my first period so ready to start trying again.

Hayleylou89 · 25/03/2020 20:41

@courtneyrenna

Thanks for getting back to me ... thats what i mean i did my cb yest morning and got low then in the afternoon did a cheapy and got this result (picture) then didnt test with cb until this afternoon and got flashing high smiley but the opk to match it wasnt as strong as the day before so im thinking maybe if i tested in the afternoon yesterday i might have got the peak and todays is coming down from the peak or does that not happen 🙈

The first pic is yesterday opk and the second one is today. X

@Salamander91 Hi 🖐 sorry for your loss and sending lots of luck

@Hayleylou89 with the cheapies dont they say the test line should be the same darkness as the control line or even darker for it to be peak and ovulation to be coming? Whereas they look lighter still, so maybe you're approaching it ? :) and CB is right in saying you're high fertility , so should get a couple flashing smileys then get your peak static one in couple days :) I know what you mean that the line looks slightly fainter in second one but you've done it at different times of the day so that's probably why x x

Hayleylou89 · 25/03/2020 21:40

@courtneyrenna

Im hoping your right and a get a static in a few days :) iv got enough tests to get me through so fingers crossed thats the case and i get a static in a few days, im currently fighting off a water infection so i hope my antibiotics dnt effect my tests, iv only just started taking them tonight but need to be on them for 10 days 🤞🏻... where r upto at the moment with everything? X

Re6ecc4 · 25/03/2020 21:43

@Ejb86 I know what you mean. The what ifs kill you. I got 9 days left until AF is due and its killing me!

courtneyrenna · 25/03/2020 22:02

@Hayleylou89 it would make sense as youd be more around like CD12 for peak which is more usual 😊👌 still have no idea what's going on with me tbh .. still getting flashing smiley high fertility on CB. I only started cheapies yesterday and they're saying high too(not peak) according to my femometer app which reads the cheapie OPK. I'm CD 23 after ERPC now... according to my old cycle AF should arrive like next tues/weds. I know first few weeks after MC could be unusual cycle wise but just frustrating I'd kind of like to know what's going on . I'm still testing every day as I've seen some people say they ovulate and have a period a lot later than normal straight after MC but kind of expecting to see AF arrive next week some time ..and either I didnt ovulate or CB didnt pick up on it this first month x

Hayleylou89 · 25/03/2020 22:09

Hi to any newbies, sorry to see u in this thread :( but best of luck TTC x

@courtneyrenna

Yeah u cycle sounds so similar to my first one too! Hopefully AF doesnt show though.

Just hoping i do get peak as it would be so annoying to get loads of highs and no peak after buying this connect cb stick 🙈... i always seem to have quite a fair bit of LH in my urine but i know none of the ones iv shown are peak just a higher than normal reading which just gets you all excited for ovulation o( but confused when its up and down ) x x will keep you updated and u do with me too x we will get there 🙏

Renna · 25/03/2020 22:26

@Hayleylou89 .. I've changed my username slightly 😊 I do think CB worked for me as I conceived in December, got a peak and DTD that day and following day so hope you see some good results from it next couple days. Yes let me know 😘 will do x x

SmileyT · 26/03/2020 12:06

Hi hoping I can join aswell, having been up since 7am this morning and reading through all the March posts before jumping on here.

Completely new to all of this following a MMC picked up on a private scan following 2 visits to my local EPU where they refused to scan. Had my SMM last Thursday (19th March) and have been getting DTD since Tuesday (24th March) but have no idea whether I will ovulate this month or when this will be. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it still a very dark positive line so no idea why my levels aren't dropping.

I'm feeling very lost and confused but have a bought a thermometer to check BBT and ovulation strips but guessing it's silly to do this before I get a BFN? I know there is lots of great info from experiences here and just want to feel like I'm not completely alone ☹️

Fizzl · 26/03/2020 13:21

Hi all, I'm hopping on from march's thread as AF has made a surprise appearance for me day 28. Im 4 months post miscarriage but this was our first month trying as we decided to give ourselves 3months before trying again.

I'm not too disheartened because it was only our first attempt but we would have been thrilled to get a BFP.

I might just linger this month as me and DH are thinking of waiting to see what happens over the next few weeks. I'm not condoning anyone ttc at all and we may well still continue but I require more hospital appointments and blood tests and it just doesn't seem right for us to rely so much on the nhs right now. We're also both in jobs which mean we can't isolate and very much have to deal with people. I've been a nervous wreck this week at the idea of leaving the house so I just don't think I could cope with the stress and anxiety on top. If our circumstances were different we wouldn't hesitate to continue ttc. Good luck to everyone this month, I'll keep checking in and you never know, a lot can happen in 2 weeks so we may well still try again in April 🤞

Renna · 26/03/2020 13:33

Hi @SmileyT Sorry for your loss. Your situation is very similar to mine. I had a private scan and found out about MMC and had ERPC 2nd March 20. Its good you've been able to DTD so soon, I still had some bleeding on and off and a bit of pain. But they said I lost 600ml of blood in surgery when the usual is like 50 ml so might by why! And Im in same situation where I don't even know if I have ovulated despite doing CB tests in the morning. It took me about 2 weeks to get a BFN so it can take time. I did start trying to track ovulation during this time and got mixed results so do think maybe these levels can affect that. I don't think its silly to track if you want to and it doesn't stress you out :) Im in exact same position as you so right now and know how you feel as do lots of other ladies here so don't feel alone and vent / question things here any time :) xx

Renna · 26/03/2020 13:40

Hi @Fizzl sorry youre having to join this month. It will happen for you :) and of course whats right for you is different to whats right for others :) got to do what you feels best and deffo keep stress /anxiety to a minimum as much you can :) Good luck to you xx

Snapper81 · 26/03/2020 13:42

Hi everyone,
I made a couple of appearances on the March thread after my miscarriage in February. It took nearly 4 weeks for my HCG levels to leave my body and then I had a questionable period (it was soooooo light) on march 17th. Been doing opks since period finished and happily I got flashing smiles this morning. I'm doing cheapies too. I conceived on the 1st cycle in both my pregnancies (I have a DD and one miscarriage) so my fingers are crossed!
Baby dust to you all x

SmileyT · 26/03/2020 15:41

@Fizzl I feel your anxiety around the current times, me and DP are both key workers and after this week I've had off sick I'm back to work on Monday and feeling it might not be the right time to try but this is still a conversation point for us. It's such a difficult decision but you must do what feels right for you 😊

SmileyT · 26/03/2020 15:59

@Renna Thanks so much for your kind words and it's encouraging (not sure if this is the right word) to hear that you are in a similar boat. I have never used ovulation tests before but feel it's best to wait until I get a BFN so my hormones don't mess with it.

I'm reading lots of mixed information on whether you can get a BFP before the first AF but I'm just hedging my bets, I had bleeding for about 3 days after the surgery but did have some extra bleeding after the first time we DTD so maybe I was a tad keen. I feel that in the week since the SMM being at home has just meant that I've obsessed over everything and going to work on an ovulation date of 2 weeks after the surgery and then after my first AF I will reset... my first time actively TTC first time was a happy accident and feel this is going to be very nerve wracking but learning loads reading through 🙌🏾

Rasgar · 26/03/2020 19:32

What does everyone think about trying for a baby with all this coronavirus going on? I’m so stressed about this and really don’t know what to do 😩

Re6ecc4 · 26/03/2020 20:45

I am going for the whole ttc thing I guess. We did lots of bd this month and just waiting for 8 days until potential AF (hopefully BFP tho). @Rasgar
