Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Rasgar I asked this on the March group. My MIL thinks we should be holding off. I dont think I can. What if this was the only month that we could actually get pregnant and we chose not to try. I'd always wonder what if? It's also the last opportunity to have a baby in the same year that i should have had my girls

Turns out my hubby can't stay awake long enough for us to dtd on the day I had my peak OPK Angry I'm so annoyed with him. Feels like he doesn't care about this like I do. I guess he doesn't have heartbreak when his period starts like i do.

Hayleylou89 · 26/03/2020 21:23

@Renna

Still had a high this morning, im expecting alot of highs before my peak with starting to test a bit early so if my cheap opks look faint im only testing once a day and if they appear darker ill do 2 cb a day hopefully ill catch the surge 🙏 x x

Rasgar · 26/03/2020 21:37

@Ejb86 it’s so worrying isn’t it I don’t think I can wait either!

I don’t think guys feel the same pain as we do! After all it’s us that had the baby inside us and had to go through the pain of miscarriage 😢

Renna · 26/03/2020 21:42

Hi @Snapper81 🖐 good luck to you xx sounds positive

@SmileyT I had exact same with bleeding after DTD too after like a week from having ERPC .. I have heard people getting pregnant even before AF comes after MC so it can happen!

@Rasgar it is scary times but dont think there's an answer and depends on the individual /couple. How at risk you feel you are and yeah how anxious you feel about it all . Not good to stress yourself out. We personally are still TTC . But I dont really leave the house I work from home.

🤞🤞 for you @Re6ecc4 xxx

@Ejb86 I hate that feeling when that happens 😓 when they're tired and you know its peak but then you try not stress about it as stress is no good. They deffo dont get it so much . Were told not to think about it too much and relax and itll happen ... but then it's best to do ovulation tests... so how can you switch off to it when you're peeing on sticks etc every day 🙄 xxx

@Hayleylou89 good plan 👌 I did think earlier when I was working.. wonder if @hayleylou89 got her high again 🤔 what we like 🤣 lol .🙄 hope you catch your surge soon

Today's the first day I didnt even bother doing the CB as just know I'd see my like 12th flashing smiley in a row 🤣🙄 I did a cheapie and very faint line so think now I may just stick to doing cheapies to see what's going on and wait for AF next week ... which I'm expecting as who knows if or when I ovulated so kinda feel like I'll just have to try and start again after AF next week !

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 07:05

@Snapper81 ooh this sounds like you have baby making locked down... hopefully it's another first time lucky for you again would be great to have an early success story - does this mean you will be testing mid-April?

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 07:11

@Rasgar me and DP had a conversation last night about the whole Coronavirus fiasco but personally have decided that as I would be able to quarantine for 12 weeks anyway it might actually be the best time, but obviously that's assuming that the situation improves after that, but it's such a personal decision for people.

@Ejb86 so frustrating you were peaking and he went to sleep but hopefully you caught him in the morning/ middle of the night Smile

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 07:47

@Renna yes I have read some stuff about people getting a BFP before AF but also trying not to get my hopes up as I have no clue what's going on with my body at the moment so may take a couple months to sort itself out and I don't want to be too disappointed. Hopefully April is your month 🤞

Dipsy77 · 27/03/2020 07:48

Having posted the other day about the fact I was still bleeding 6 weeks after missed miscarriage and 2 lots of tablets I thought it was my period I usually bleed for 5 days and today is day 6 bleeding had almost stopped so I was happy thinking thank god it’s over but just been to loo more bright red blood and my stomach is killing me, I’m now thinking I maybe have an infection because it doesn’t feel like period pain but similar to a UTI pain without the pin when peeing. I’m so pissed off with this now, I’m going to ring the epu Sunday if it hasn’t stopped and I can hopefully be seen Monday. I usually ovulate day 9/10 of my cycle so hopefully they will able to see what’s happening !, think I’m getting too old and fed up for all this now x

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 07:49

Bit of a random question but seen a lot of people talking about DTD every other day, does this increase chances or is this just a preference? I know somebody mentioned having a few days off before ovulation and wondered if that was linked?

Annny27 · 27/03/2020 09:00

Morning ladies:) I have been on the january/february and march thread 🙄 after a MMC at 11.5 weeks in November with no luck of conceiving our rainbow just yet.

My AF hasnt officiallu arrived yet but i am 13dpo, bfn and an spotting so it's me out and onto the april thread.

Havent 100% decided whether we will be ttc next month with all the covid stuff - did anyone else have this dilemma?

TerribleImagination · 27/03/2020 10:09

Hi @Annny27 👋🏻 Sorry AF is about to show for you 😢 Fingers crosses our months come soon!

I personally haven’t considered not trying at the moment... I’m very lucky that I could self-isolate for 12 weeks easily, due to my job being totally workable from home. Also my friend is a midwife and when I spoke to her about it she said it’s more than likely just a precaution, because they don’t know anything about the virus in pregnancy yet. My thoughts were that I don’t want to miss any months, that may or may not have been our month... But that’s just me!

OP posts:
Ejb86 · 27/03/2020 10:35

Same here @Annny27 @terribleimagination. Cant afford to miss any months. If I get preg this month the age gap between my babies will be 3 years. I don't want an age gap much bigger than that if I can help it.

@SmileyT no such luck. Toddler currently sleeping in our room! There will be some pretty insistent prodding of OH tonight if he even dares to fall asleep!

Snapper81 · 27/03/2020 11:48

Feeling excited- just took today's OPK and got a static smiley 😁 and very dark positive cheapie too. DTD last night and will be pouncing on hubby once my 2 yr old is napping. Just checking, does this mean I'll probably ovulate tomorrow and will that mean the day after (Sunday) will be 1DPO?
@SmileyT yes, I'll be testing from around 10/11th April...if I can hold out! Amazingly I got a BFP at only 7DPO last time x

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 11:54

@Dipsy77 I'm so sorry to hear this is still going on, definitely give the EPU a call and see if you can get a scan/ assessment so you can at least have some peace of mind. Sending you lots of love

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 11:57

@Ejb86 definitely get your prodding on tonight but also nice/ distracting to have a toddler to wake up to Smile

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 12:00

@Snapper81 ahh this is very exciting, I'm new to the tracking ovulation so can't help with that question but I have everything crossed that this works out for you. Having not had an AF since my MMC a week ago I'm not hopeful for this month but very much looking forward to seeing lots of BFPs in this group ❤️

Mommybear05 · 27/03/2020 12:02

Hey guys. Regarding covid I feel in some ways now is the best time. With my son I was sick in the first trimester. Fatigued too. Nothing that severely compromised my health though. And I’m currently working from home so it may be good to get through the first trimester when I don’t have to get out for work and we wouldn’t be well enough for socialising anyway. But I wasn’t so bad I needed treatment. So we’re not stopping.
Wouldn’t listen to mother in law.
I’m on cd14 is you count the miscarriage as cd1. Still breastfeeding my son too which can make my cycles irregular (only had ppaf in January!) so genuinely don’t know when I’ll ovulate 🙈
I so want to get pregnant this month! If love a December baby. My son is a December baby too and would be just turning two when his sibling is born ❤️ But of course a baby any month is a blessing

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 12:03

@Annny27 hoping April willbe your month... and that AF shows herself soon so you can start again, with so many horrible things going on in the world we all need some 🌈 to look forward to at the end of 2020. Personally I will not be putting anything on hold but I think it's a personal decision based on the precautions you can or can't take

SmileyT · 27/03/2020 12:08

@Mommybear05 I'm now CD9 if i count the SMM as CD1 so a few days behind you, I would love a Christmas miracle but as you say any month would be a blessing. Hope you are recovering well can imagine it is even harder with a toddler to look after aswell as yourself

ELM7 · 27/03/2020 12:11

Me and OH talked about it and we’ve decided to keep trying despite the unknown of Coronavirus. It hasn’t happened for us over the last few months (mc end of Oct) So who knows how long it will take for us to fall pregnant again. We know there are risks and are already minimising our contact with the outside world. Will see what April brings (currently on CD10) but fingers crossed we will all get our rainbows soon. xxxx

Mommybear05 · 27/03/2020 12:18

@SmileyT to be honest I’m enjoying spending time with him and my husband together as with work it’s not often we get the chance. But this is of course just a silver lining as it’s worrying times for everyone. We’re not able to see by sons grandparents and that’s been horrible as they are missing out but what can you do? We’re lucky as we have a garden to keep him entertained and the weather has been nice. How has it been for you?

I want another baby but haven’t been willing to give up breastfeeding to get pregnant. My bond with son is so important. I did get pregnant in February so hoping I can get pregnant while breastfeeding again ❤️

TerribleImagination · 27/03/2020 13:22

@Snapper81 Woohoo to the static smiley! I always get excited when I see that face 😃

I know everyone can be different, but if it helps I actually had a scan this month (to check for ovarian cysts) that fell on CD9. I asked her the scoop on what was going on in there follicle wise, and she told me my dominant follicle was 16mm and likely to pop an egg out 4 days later, going by the usual rate of growth and size when they pop! That was on a Wednesday, so predicted ovulation day Sunday.

I kept on with my Clearblue Advanced and I got my static smiley on the Saturday, so the day before the sonographer predicted I would ovulate 👍🏻 As I said I’m sure it can different for everyone, but hope that helps!

Crossing fingers for you (and everyone) for this month! 🤞🏻❤️

@renna

As long as u have been dtd though u may have caught it without knowing ... ur not out till AF arrived .. even when mine arrived i though it could of been implantation cos it was a week early than my app said but cos it was my first af i didnt know when it would really come.. thats jsut what natural cycles had predicted.

Another flashing smiley for me today and really fain cheap opks so iv only tested once today so far unless my cheapies get stronger im only going to do one cb one :) still not due to ovulate until next weekend but hoping its sooner and my cycles have shortened a little - that would be nice but we will see. How r u feeling ? How many dpo are u now? Xx

Renna · 27/03/2020 14:25

Afternoon Ladies

@SmileyT .. I am the same no idea what has gone on this month so not expecting any kind of miracle. hope things start settling for you asap ! X

Hi @Annny27 sorry you find yourself here. keep positive :) We are still TTC despite Covid19 :)

@Snapper81 exciting.. yes that does sound right with the dates :) sending lots of luck

@Hayleylou89 Hi Love :) This is true and trying to stay positive but also kind of not expecting anything so I don't end up really disappointed/ down when AF appears ! Think if I knew for certain I had ovulated and when Id feel differently probably ! So may even be a good thing as Im less uptight about it !

Well I don't know what day I ovulated but if I did ovulate around CD14-16 like I used to before then I will be on around 10dpo today. I had a sore throat, no other symptoms, for like 2 days but seems to have passed now. I have had the odd pang feeling in my boobs and at the bottom of my back randomly but didn't really feel like period cramps. I have been checking cervical position which Ive never really done before so not really an expert but have noticed some changes. Last week during the time I should have ovulated it was high and quite soft (sorry TMI haha) and now it is still high but has got more firmer. But again kinda don't know what that means, I think if you check these things over a few months itll mean more and can compare.

Yeah I mean we DTD like every other day last week during the time I should ovulate so done what we can :) AF due like next Tues/Weds so we will see ...also fully expecting may not have a normal cycle and could be early/late! xxx

Hi ladies,

TTC after MMC end of jan. I’m using a tracker app and still VERY confused about timings etc.

AF arrived on 16th March so started testing from CD7 (see chart below) my app suggests I should be O today (CD 12) highest reading on my OPK, although unsure if it’s positive, was from CD9.

My levels weren’t high around CD8/9 and have now dramatically dropped. So unsure if I have ovulated at all?
