TTC after miscarriage - April 2020

Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Mommybear05 ah you see, Daddy has never been able to do a bedtime with mine. If I go out, lb refuses to go to bed and ends up staying up with Daddy until I get home.

I've done don't offer don't refuse for a long time. He never reduced how often he asked! He did pretty much wean when I was pregnant with the twins though, so I'm hopeful he will if I get pregnant again.

@Rainbowdust31 aw I know what you mean. I am also overthinking everything. Every little tiny twinge I’m questioning and I’m also in the toilet every two minutes. It drives us mad doesn’t it? Hubby keeps telling me to just wait and see and that I need to just see what happens but honestly it’s easier said than done! I have been googling everything, like time between ovulation and spotting, time between spotting and when you can test etc. And you always get different answers. So you end up more confused. It’s impossible not to overthink every little detail when you want something so much! Like you say it’s all part of the ttc process and I’m sure it will all make it that much more special when we have our rainbows 🌈 x

@Mommybear05 my husband is the same, he always says there is nothing more we can do in this tww other than wait so i should stop stressing. But yeah, easier said than done.😪

I understand the urge to google everything, i do it too although can't say it helps much. We are looking for reassurance and similar stories to put our minds at ease and i find it normal in our situation.

Got a FRER and 2 Boots tests waiting for me and i will use one of them on the 13th (day my AF is due), so one more day of waiting. Fingers crossed🤞🌈💗

I posted earlier in the thread. Have been following all your stories and really hope everyone gets their bfp soon 🤞. I think I am due to ovulate early next week. It has been interesting reading your posts about ovulation symptoms. I remember having pains right before I ovulated last month and so now think they could’ve been ovulation pains. Will be looking out for them again this month. I had two CB ovulation sticks left from last month, used one last week and got the empty circle. Saving the last one to test on Monday. Hoping it will show a flashing or static smiley! X

@Isittimeforbubblesyet sorry to hear about your MMC. I have been TTC for 18 months since my MC. It is hard to go past the due date without being pregnant. I assumed I would be. I have a nearly 4 yr old son and it breaks my heart to see him playing on his own.

Is it a flashing smiley you have had? I have heard of people having a flashing smile for quite a few days and then getting a static so fingers crossed for you that ovulation is on it’s way. Please don’t feel like a failure. Big hugs to you. X

@Wishingfornumber2 maybe you could track CM aswell alongside if you only have your last stick? Hopefully you get some OV pains too to help you pinpoint. X

@Isittimeforbubblesyet so sorry to hear about your MC and that you find yourself here too. You can get a few flashing smileys before static so please don't be disheartened. Keep positive so that you don't put yourself under too much pressure. It is so hard. Sending you a big hug xx

@Hayleylou89 @Mommybear05 @SmileyT little update - still flashing smiley. Checked CM too and had a slight brownish tinge on second check. So here I am symptom spotting 🤔🙄 will continue to test later again anyhow. X

@Isittimeforbubblesyet sorry for your loss, is this your first month tracking BBT? I know I've tried this month and also haven't seen a clear pattern, but I've read it might take a few months to get used to your own graph. As you have been trying for 18months could the Drs not do any investigation into whether you are ovulating?

@Wishingfornumber2 exciting you are coming up to ovulation... have you got the cheap opks aswell or just sticking to the CB?

@VP91x are you thinking that it's just going to stick at flashy face this month? If you think you've already been ovulated. What is the CM saying is it feeling like fertile CM or less so? Hoping ovulation has already come and gone and you've already done enough.

@Mommybear05 I've seen you mention feeling your cervix, I've been trying to do that aswell. Did yours get higher when you thought you may have been fertile? Where is it at now? Might be a good sign. xx

@Babytinx11 thinking of you this morning. Also, how did your daughter get on in a and e?? X

@SmileyT it was higher earlier in the month. I think. And if you get pregnant it should stay high apparently. But I think it’s lower now :( so subjective though I’m really not sure 🤔

@VP91x still flashing? How many days is that now?? Do you definitely need the static to confirm ovulation has happened? On my cheapies they went darker but never actually went positive. X

@Ejb86 do you want to wean? I am not sure. I keep changing my mind about it! It’s just so final like once we’ve weaned there’s no going back so I want to be sure we are ready and I don’t want regrets. Your lb is one year older than mine, was he a December baby too? X

@Wishingfornumber2 I hope you get your smiley :) will you be buying any more of those cb ovulation sticks? X

@Mommybear05 @SmileyT I don't think so, but it just tries to pinpoint when it might have been. I will keep testing to see if it goed back to plain circle. If not, then that will be interesting also.

@SmileyT CM was definitely less fertile had a slight tinge of brown when I checked the second time this morning. Not EWCM like I had earlier in the week so will trust my body I think. Been reading up on short cycles and ovulation - there is hope yet!!

@Rainbowdust31 exactly the same with my hubby. He will say you can worry about it or try to forget about it. It won’t change the outcome. But it’s not easy to switch it off like that. He tells me that I google until I get the answer I want. He’s probably right because like you say we want someone’s story to be like ours and we can make sense of it all.

Any sign of af today???

@Isittimeforbubblesyet sorry to hear of your loss. ITs such a difficult time and I know what it’s like to want a sibling for your child. Here’s hoping you get lucky this cycle

@SmileyT just sticking to the CB one for now. Haven’t had a chance to get any cheapies yet. X

@Mommybear05 I will buy some more if it doesn’t work this month. It’s annoying you can’t buy a couple to top up, you have to buy the whole pack again. Think I’m just secretly hoping I won’t need to buy anymore as this will be the month! X

@Mommybear05 yeah im trying to get to grips with this cervical position thing but I think I've lost my cervix the last week, which isn't helpful 😂

@VP91x ooh I might try my CB test out tomorrow actually see if it changes to a ⭕️ as I didn't bother after peak and it will be interesting to see if it goes down to low fertility.

@Mommybear05 update: no signs of AF, and the spotting stopped again. All other symptoms are still very much present. Woke up today soooo hungry that I could eat half the food in my fridge🥓🍳🥯 Very unusual for me since I am not a breakfast person. If my AF shows her face I will have to seriously question where did all these symptoms come from?!😂 Any news on your side?💗

@Wishingfornumber2 I completely know what you mean about them playing on their own. My DS is the same age and is so sociable that he really should have a sibling. All we can do is keep trying I guess. Fingers crossed for you this month!

@VP91x I got the static face on Wednesday after 2 days of flashing faces. I've been trying really hard not to think too much about it but being at home is making this harder. At least I have chocolate to distract myself today

@smileyT Doctors have been really reluctant to investigate further. I get told 'to relax as we are clearly compatible as we already have a son'. One GP finally agreed to do some further investigations but then I got pregnant and then had the MMC. Now they wont do anything due to the virus 😥

I actually got a temp spike this morning (up to 36.72 from 36.42 yesterday) but my DS cried out at 3.45am and I popped into him for 2 mins before going back to sleep and taking my temp at the usual time at 6.10. It is the first time I have had to get up this cycle so the rise is probably due to this rather that ovulation? I guess if it drops back down tomorrow, we will know but I can hope for the next few hours!

Not tested this morning started bleeding really heavy around 2am so guessing af has finally made her appearance.

@Rainbowdust31 so I caved and did a cheapie. I know I know... I said I’d wait 🙈
Negative :( cd30. No spotting for the last day or so. X

On the plus side my little girl is ok she pulled a muscle in her neck but other than being sore x
