TTC after miscarriage - April 2020

Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@mommybear05 and @Hayleylou89 Im either 1dpo or 2dpo 🤷 so definitely in the TWW. But the spotting this morning has confused me - maybe it is from ovulation, but I have never had spotting mid cycle before.
Im going to spend the morning sorting out my garden to take my mind off it. It's going to be a very long two weeks 😬

@Rainbowdust31 of course we should share updates! The app I’m using is Ovia. According to that af is due today but it’s saying to test in three days?? This is strange don’t know why! My first spotting was three days ago now. Also light pink discharge yesterday as well so surely it’s too early to detect? The only tests I have are the cheapie ones (I got them for that depressing test post miscarriage and didn’t want to use a cb for that depressing task) and they’re Morrison’s own. So online I read reviews that they often give false positives so I’m not sure to use them!
Also I think if at this stage I do see a positive the best I can hope for is a very very faint line at this stage and I would have to wait a few days and retest so I don’t want to be in that position. I’d rather just wait! Although it’s hard! Every time I go for a wee I’m like ‘shall I??’ Haha x

@Quail15 hmm I’m no expert so some one correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure 1dpo is too early for implantation. I think it takes the egg at least five days to travel down the tube and implant. So it’s likely ovulation bleeding I think! Like you uve never had spotting Mid cycle either. And love that you’re sorting your garden! U doing anything nice to it? I’ve been giving ours a good tidy up Xx

@Rainbowdust31 oh and the reason I asked if you had any children is I’m just wondering if you had a pregnancy to compare your symptoms to. I was very sick with my son and I’m just symptom spotting haha. I really hope you guys can make a family soon xx

I will try and wait till the morning I want to know now but I am worried that it will just be like yesterday super faint and leave more questions xx

@VP91x don’t know when to test?? I’m on cd 29 today. With my pregnancy that I mc, I tested cd 29 and it was negative. And I didn’t test again til cd 49 to get my positive. So I figure cd29 is too early for testing for me. Maybe in a weeks time with a decent test? I want to use Cb digital that gives how far along you are this time, as the confusion with dates have us false hope during the mc I want more information xx

@Quail15 In my last pregnancy i had implantation at what i thought was 3 dpo and the again at 5 dpo and id never had bleeding before mid cycle so ill be looking out for that again as a symptom u may have ovulated earlier than u think and ur dpo is wrong maybe .... I think my last pregnancy i had my dpo wrong and i was further as i had a faint postive at 8dpo and a strong positive and digital 1-2 weeks at 10 dpo aswell x x u never know what it could be but im hoping it means implantation for you 🙏 x

@Quail15 @Hayleylou89 that’s right all it takes is for the ovulation date to be a few days out! My fingers are crossed for you x

@Quail15 sorry for tmi but what did it look like as mine was just a watery pinky cm on wiping just the once then it went after one wipe.

The next time i got it was after dtd for fun a few days later but it looked the exact same and went after one wipe too.

@Babytinx11 One of the girls in another thread said her smu was better than her first and She had a bfp at 10dpo so maybe you could test today if u wanted.

I might do one when they arrive just save the other one for tomorrow morning 🙈 xx

@SmileyT Hi! Thank you for your kind words and so sorry for your loss.
Doctor advised to wait one cycle and then try again however I know this is only for them to be able to date the new pregnancy. So me and my husband figured there is no point in waiting since we are both ready now to try again. It's nice to know there are other couples doing the same and not waiting a cycle.

I thought I might of tested too early, but I was so anxious and as soon as I got a symptom I couldn't stop myself from testing.

Other symptoms I had besides the cramps and spotting: feeling super bloated, tired and I really feel like sleeping non stop, fuller and sore breasts, food aversion (this one is most recent). The symptoms started slowly about 2 days ago, and I am feeling them stronger each day.

At this point, it could all be due to AF coming, or a new pregnancy, or my body's reaction to the miscarriage.. I really don't know, it's very confusing. I am trying my best not to test until the 13th when AF is due.

Fingers crossed that everybody gets their bfp and healthy pregnancy soon💝🤞

@Mommybear05 yeah that probably sounds best to wait another few days to a week to test. I always use the digital too, looking at lines drives me loopy haha xx

@Mommybear05 are you still spotting today? Sorry for the straightforward question lol😁 If your AF is due today, you might get a proper bfp.

When I tested yesterday it was with a cheepie. Just like you, I didn't want to waste an expensive test when I had to look for the dreaded negative after the miscarriage, so I bought a pack of two Freedom from Asda.

Also, same as you, everytime I feel like taking a wee I want to test.😂 I know it would be a waste of money but this wait is not pleasant at all.

It's good that you can compare your symptoms with the ones you had with your son! Unfortunately, all I can compare with is the miscarriage, which up until 5 weeks felt more or less exactly like this one.. so not sure if I should be happy that I might be pregnant again or sad that I am following the same pattern.

@Rainbowdust31 you should definitely be happy to be feeling the same symptoms and if you get a bfp it’s just the same chance as anyone else that things will be ok! But I reckon I will feel extra cautious just the same. Cd 29 here. Pink spotting when wiping early hours of yesterday morning and the same in the afternoon. On Tuesday I had spotting when checking cm but it was more red. It’s not been brown yet for me. We dtd and usually that brings on my period when it’s about to start. There’ve been many times in the past when I’ve ended up a little red faced when I thought I could get away with it (tmi 🙈😳 haha) but nothing. Not cm is clear and watery again. No sign of anything. What about you??
Yes I hear you with the ASDA cheapie! I want a cb digital when I test, that is if I get as far as testing. I feel cd29 is too early for me to test, as you say I may get bfp but I didn’t at cd 29 with my last pg. so I won’t trust my cheapie at cd 29. I’ll just wait. At least then I can hold onto some hope!

I am sat waiting by the door for my delivery I am hoping it’s a good sign that I feel really sicky this morning and not just the start of a tummy bug 🙈 hubby has taken my daughter to a&e this morning because she has done something to her neck so it could be nerves too

@babytinx11 these are all good signs that your AF has previously been like clock work and deffo a faint line on that test :) excited for you xx

@hayleylou89 Thanks hun yes very similar ! good news we both seem back on track with our cycles now. My app today (the femometer one) said to test today (obvs by CB test stick still has static smiley as 2nd day of peak) and it says to test until you get the 'high' back on cheapie... interesting.. so I think the app tells me to do that as it has 'intelligent recognition' of the strips and I guess it analyses your data etc to see how long you get the peak. Did one this morning (along with an old CB test stick I have ) and CB shad the plain circle and the cheapie said 'high' so my levels going down.. so it is interesting to see , I literally got the peak reading just yesterday.also happy you are feeling more optimisitic xxx YAY youve both done all you can ! xx

I am feeling bad as I am feeling rather hungover ... DH and I had a four hour zoom call with our mates last night and involved lots of drinking... but also good drunk DTD last night and this morning haha ... no more drinking for me .. but at least we have well covered our peak time for DTD ! and was fun :D

Hi @busby85 so sorry for your loss so recently xx be kind to yourself xx and lots of here have felt the same so dont worry about wanting to TTC asap , sometimes I think its our way of getting through the emotion xx I found my cycle did conme back as normal 28 days after the MC and I have now just ovulated as expected but found the few weeks before I got AF a bit all over the place with hormones leveling

Ill be joining some of you with the TWW as of tomorrow too :) although I feel like I am in it already .. my peaks has come and we have DTD so I feel like the wait is on now .. xxx

@VP91x plus side if you've been DTD regularly you have just as much chance as anyone even if you don't pinpoint ovulation 🤞

@Hayleylou89 that really amused me, have to keep them onside and make sure we aren't just using them for their swimmers 😂 I'm 5DPO now, I'm not feeling positive this month but if AF doesn't show on time I'll definitely start dreaming of a Dec baby. I didn't have any real symptoms with my last pregnancy apart from the fact AF didn't arrive and I'm normally like clockwork so we'll see. Hoping you get that IB that gives you an early clue.

@Quail15 don't worry I'm in exactly the same boat, haven't had my first AF yet (expecting it somewhere between 20th-30th assuming it arrives 4-6 weeks after SMM). Even though I'm not hopeful I've caught at all, it's quite nice to have used this month as a practice for all the tracking. I definitely wouldn't read too much into the spotting, could be ovulation spotting or even an IB. We're all in this together but maybe spotting is a good sign something is trying to happen in there x

@Babytinx11 im excited for your results really hoping it's a BFP, you got the digital ones didn't you so even if you did one today it wold give you an answer either way. No chance of a faint or evap line.

@Rainbowdust31 all those signs sound very positive, if you've only just implanted then makes sense that symptoms will be getting stronger as hcg is released which is what causes the symptoms I think. It's bloody hard that the AF symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are basically the same isn't it 😩 I've got everything crossed for you x

@renna u sound well covered this month i have a good vibe about ur bfp this month! .. I had 2 peaks then checked today and its gone back to the circle but iv got no cheapies to compare too keep in touch and hopefully we can symptom spot together 🙈😂

@SmileyT yeah will definitely keep DTD. Got some more Cb sticks arriving today so will continue to use them. Im on CD 14 now so I am over half way my cycle length that I have recently. Eep.

@Hayleylou89 I didn't realise CB went back to plain circle! That will be helpful x

@VP91x yeah my cb stick let me test again today and this was the result xxx
