anyone looking to TTC may/June onwards?

Hi everyone 💕

Currently still have the Mirena coil in which I’m wanting to have taken out in may, have a DD who is 3 and wanting to start TTC from June onwards. Hoping to have a spring/summer baby so I can time it with my toddler going to school.

Has anyone got any story’s with conceiving after the Mirena coil or looking to conceive around may/June 😘

I came off the pill in April had my usual withdrawal bleed and I am now, incredibly impatiently(!), waiting for AF to arrive. Should be due on Thursday (my obsessive Googling has not made her arrive any quicker!)

@Justkeepswimming91 welcome 👋🏻 I’m impatiently waiting for AF too - meant to be due today but nothing so far. Hopefully soon for us both.

@2020mission I never thought I'd be so impatient for her to arrive!!

I was on the pill ten years so I'm not sure if everything will go back to normal straight away. I've thought she was arriving a few times, cramps and bloating, but then nothing :(

Hope it's okay for me to join! I had my final injection in October 2019, moved onto the pill from January 2020 ready to TTC from November ishh. Hoping it gives me enough time to lose a bit more weight and prepare!

@Justkeepswimming91 no AF for me yet so might be joining you for cycle day 1 tomorrow. My cycles vary from 24-28 days in length so I’m not really late until Friday. We’ve been using condoms for the past 2 months so no chance it’s late due to pregnancy! Any other month I’d be thinking I was on to something 😆

I downloaded the Ovia app yesterday and ordered a thermometer...

@Justkeepswimming91 I’ve not got any OPKs or thermometer yet - I’m hoping I can do it by just DTD every other day but will consider getting those if more months pass without luck. I’ve been using the Ovia app too (since January).

No AF for me yet but have signs it’s on the way tonight or tomorrow morning latest. How about you?

@2020mission I cracked and bought a thermometer today. I'm not sure OPKs are worth for me until there is the hint of a regularish cycle otherwise I'll just be testing everyday on the off chance.

Nothing for me either although (TMI warning) CM is now all white and creamy which I think is a sign. It's been so many years since I was last au natural I've forgotten the signs AF is about to start :s

Wow I didn't even know such thermometers existed until it was mentioned here 😳 I must have lived a sheltered life!

I don't think I'll be purchasing one 😂

@2020mission still nothing today for me so far. How are you getting on?

@Justkeepswimming91 nothing here either. I was hoping I’d be through the cycle by the 15th June so that we could celebrate our first wedding anniversary with some champagne we have or I’d not be drinking but have a positive test in hand instead. Looks like we will have to delay the celebration now since I’ll still be in the 2 week wait come then.

@2020mission I've been a bit upset about it today tbh. I just want it to go back to normal :(. I'm so worried that there are problems the pill has been masking :(

@Justkeepswimming91 aww how many days has it been since the withdrawal bleed? Try not to worry I’m sure it won’t take long for your body to get back into the swing of things. I agree it’s just so annoying waiting around for a period!

@Justkeepswimming91 ouch! I must admit I tried coming off the pill back in February but after two weeks I was still bleeding so went back on the pill just to stop the bleeding.

@Smushty14 Oh no! Are you off it now?

Around 30 days can easily be a normal cycle so hopefully you will have a period soon 🤞 I’ve never been on hormonal contraceptives so cant share any experience there I’m afraid.

@Justkeepswimming91 I have another 8 days of pills to take before my "break". I do keep thinking about finishing early but I feel like it would mess me up so I'm going to try again at the end of this packet

@Smushty14 I have read stopping in the middle of a packet can sometimes confuse things. Fingers crossed we all get beautiful regular circles soon!

@2020mission how are you doing today?

@Justkeepswimming91 nothing! Not sure what’s going on as this is day 31 and I’m usually no later than 28 days 🤷‍♀️ It averages at 26 days usually. I can’t be pregnant though because of using condoms the last 2 months. I’m tempted to use one of my internet cheapie tests before I pour a glass of wine tonight though just for peace of mind! We’ve not had any accidents and have used condoms for 8 years with not one scare before.

Arrived for you yet? Hope you’re not going as crazy as me haha

I had some very light spotting and thought I was starting this morning but now it's gone :(

@Justkeepswimming91 spotting can be a sign it’s about to come 🤞 I often get spotting the day before it arrives.

I was really hoping to start trying properly in June...

Cheapie test is clear 😅 feeling silly for even taking it but at least I know I’m just having a long cycle this month. Hopefully we’ll both be on the next cycle tonight/tomorrow. Off to pour that wine now haha
