Hi everyone šŸ’•

Currently still have the Mirena coil in which I’m wanting to have taken out in may, have a DD who is 3 and wanting to start TTC from June onwards. Hoping to have a spring/summer baby so I can time it with my toddler going to school.

Has anyone got any story’s with conceiving after the Mirena coil or looking to conceive around may/June 😘

Xx

Lol we also have some at home but i'd forgotten my little bottle I carry around with me, couldn't believe everywhere had sold out!! I managed to get loo roll had to buy bloody Andrex!! All the wilko brand had gone!!

bez91 · 09/03/2020 17:31

I went out today for loo roll as I genuinely need some! My DH bought the fragranced stuff which disrupts the equilibrium of my lady bits šŸ˜‚ could not find any anywhere that wasn't fragranced so it looks like I'll get thrush like symptoms for the foreseeable rather than coronavirus wahoo!

OrangeBird · 09/03/2020 18:48

I can only agree with everyone. No anti bac anywhere and only expensive toilet roll in the shops. It's crazy when you think about it. At least hiding from the germs will keep us busy for the foreseeable future!!!

Geepipe · 09/03/2020 21:55

Someone at my aunts work has now been diagnosed with covid19. Its scary times. I spoke to my dm and told her about wanting to convince dp to ttc soon and asked if i should postpone although thats not an option for me as its taking me so long to get him to even think about it. She said just carry on and dont stop which helped me feel better. We have hand sanitiser at work but im in a very busy retail environment full of tourists so i feel screwed either way.

Teacup34 · 10/03/2020 14:16

I sympathise Bez I didn't realise but the loo roll I brought is scented too so I will be in the same boat!! 😭. I did my online shop yesterday and could not buy pasta passata or puree? It's crazy!! I no what you mean GeePipe I've been thinking should I wait I think I will see how it plays out and then decide.

OnNaturesCourse · 10/03/2020 15:17

A few shops in my area have actually been closed for a deep clean due to staff members having it.

It's scary, it really is, but I think healthy people are blowing it way out of proportion - it's the elderly, kids and those with health troubles that need all the help. Everyone should just be washing their bloody hands and being polite enough not to sneeze in folks faces. Normal rules apply... If you're sick, stay home.

I'm worried for my DD as she's young and has suffered with bronchitis etc before, and my family members with health problems.

OnNaturesCourse · 10/03/2020 15:19

On another note...DP has gone back to either waiting longer to TTC or just sticking with 1. Reasons being financial (we'd cope!) and do we really want to "start again"? His gut tells him it's not the right time.... My biological clock tells me to stop waiting on the right time lol.

Geepipe · 10/03/2020 16:02

OnNaturesCourse ah what is it with men and using that old chestnut. My dp has said that before that he already has a child why would he want another. (Yet when i met him he was adamant he wanted more until i actually got pregnant.) Now he is banging on about we will never have a house or car and we should save for that (which wont be for another ten years when we will be almost 40!) Im going to try vring it up again soon because last time we spoke he said i will think about it.

OnNaturesCourse · 11/03/2020 01:23

To be honest, I doubt our timing too but then I think back to before TTC #1 and I felt the same. I think it natural when making a big decision to have some doubts and worries, but I'm feeling like it's now or never kinda thing. If I don't do it this year, I don't think I'd want to if that makes sense. Just thinking in terms of our age, DDs age, going back to work etc etc.

I think we will end up taking the "what will be will be" approach, or "nature's course" as we called it when DD when conceived, and just stop birth control and let fate run its course.

stickytoffeepud2412 · 11/03/2020 21:51

I’m currently training to be a midwife, so I’m in hospital 80% of the time and if not I’m out in the community and I haven’t even had time to think about it!
What’s annoying is that I needed toilet roll today we usually get the bulk one from b&m and it lasted ages and my husband had to go to 3 shops to get some cause everywhere was wiped. Then we had someone come into the hospital with a Tupperware dish and was filling it up with the anti bac gel we have all around the hospital. Absolutely crazy!

No way stickytoffee! Thats insane did the person get kicked out for essentially stealing antibac? Some people have zero sense do they. Soo I may have convinced dp to ttc in the next few months Grin so thats very exciting. Im going deaf though as i have a condition in the tubes of my ears. I need to see an ent specialist but that can wait until after baby as ive had it for a couple of years its really annoying though constanr crackling and deafness. Dp is very worried about corona i am too but for once with my health anxiety i am not thinking too hard about it :).

bez91 · 13/03/2020 15:41

Hi again all,

How is everyone doing that wanted to get their body baby ready? Loose a bit of weight/be more healthy before they start TTC?

I was doing well up until this week šŸ˜† had been running 3 times a week for 3 weeks which has gone tits up this week and I've eaten every calories available to me with feeling a bit under the weather, stressing about my dissertation and my husband also being on call so not around in the evening so couldn't really go for a run with DD in bed! Car crash week for me - How's everyone else doing? X

Geepipe · 13/03/2020 18:57

Sorry your having a rough week Bez. Im ok last night after nagging dp for weeks to ttc in the next few months he finally said YES!!! Im thrilled!

OrangeBird · 14/03/2020 19:31

Don't worry about it bez. Everyone always has a time where life just gets ahead of you. You try again next week and I'm sure you'll be back on track Smile
I'm so pleased for you geepipe. How exciting Smile
I've been busy at work which has actually distracted me from ttc.....and obviously trying to get toilet roll and pasta just in caseWink

stickytoffeepud2412 · 16/03/2020 11:03

Hi @bez91
Sorry your week was shit! Here’s hoping for a good one.
Diet is going awful. I’ve put another 3lb on in 2 weeks had very heavy drink filled weekends but on calorie counting today. Even filled out my food on my fitness pal and my husband is doing it with me too as he’s put half a stone on in a few weeks!

That’s great @GeePipe so happy for you! Woo woo! And no the person didn’t get chucked out ffs!

Xx

I'm the same was doing really well walking the dc to school and back everyday (nearly 4miles) now I'm in the week before af and have been eating everything in sight Sad the scales will not be my friend this week. I now have tonsillitis so can't even do my walks. Dh and dds have all been ill with coughs and colds no idea of its corona!!

Teacup34 · 17/03/2020 16:49

if also meant to say that's great Geepipe!!

Geepipe · 17/03/2020 21:11

Thanks guys just waiting for my period so i can start tracking. I know its a bad time as ive lost my job now and no idea if i will eventually get it back or if its gone for good because of corona. And now the virus is set to last a while i see no point in putting ttc on hold as im sure our situation will be far from unique and the worlds got to turn. How is everyone? Aw Teacup tonsilitis is awful i feel for you are you off work? Dp met someome today at work who has CV and has recovered! Which was some great relief as i think dp is more worried than me even though im the one with health anxiety lol.

Teacup34 · 17/03/2020 22:15

Thanx GeePipe, I'm a sahm so no time off for me 😄. I have got To go out shopping tomorrow now, I was a bit naive to think I could do an online shop as usual it's insane!! who knows what I will actually be able to buy šŸ™„.

Geepipe · 17/03/2020 22:26

Ah yeah i went shopping today as we have no food. I went to 4 shops and all were completely bare! I got nothing.

Teacup34 · 18/03/2020 09:56

Ah no don't tell me that!! I'm just about to go now, I will end up having to buy stuff no one wants probably be sprouts for tea lol. I meant to say sorry about your job! Will you manage ok?

Geepipe · 19/03/2020 14:10

Did you get your shopping ok Teacup? I Have got some bits in so at least we wont starve for the short term :) and the job things a massive concern. I have been reading that so far theres no evidence to say corona causes any problems for women and unborn babies so im taking that as a good sign. Will try convince dp to try soon at least if we are in isolation we have plenty of time lol. I will worry about the job thing when we arent socially isolating again so I will just have to hope when the job finally ends ( i have 3 more days and then I have no rota so I think that may be when we are given our p45.) I hope i can claim UC until I get work again. How is everyone else getting on? I feel like the resident moaner lately haha in real life im miss positive trying to calm everyone done around me.

Teacup34 · 20/03/2020 20:40

I managed to get some things but it was like nothing I've ever seen before, I just wandered round for about 10 minutes staring at rows of empty shelves!! I could get no fresh meats and most frozen had gone. I just got some frozen stuff the chest freezer is full it's just stuff like pasta I could really do with and toilet roll!! None to be had anywhere and we are running low. People used to laugh at preppers who's laughing now!! Not me 😭

Teacup34 · 20/03/2020 20:43

Yes you might as well start trying now give you something to do lol.

Geepipe · 20/03/2020 20:47

The shops are nuts arent they! We have hardly anything in because everywheres empty. I should have really heeded preppers warning haha. Yeah i just seen a thread where everyones saying dont ttc now and i finally convinced dp to start next weekSad we will still go ahead. This pandemic could be here for 18 months and people dont realise how rocky this road has been for us thus far. Whatever happens happens. Im hopeful more lockdown will help now.
