Our 4th cycle TTC #2. I'm still breastfeeding my son who is 1 this week.
Currently on CD3, expecting to ovulate 26-29th February.

Hello! I'm waiting for ovulation, currently on CD23 and on cycle #3 after a miscarriage in October. TTC baby #1. I have super long and irregular cycles!

Feeling positive for March (I'll be 28 on the 16th!) and will be testing possibly first or second week, if this cycle isn't anovulatory.

I’m here 🙁 fingers crossed for March. What is everyone doing to help along the process- my partner and I have been testing with digital opk, pre concept vits and preseed, this month I’m going to try a soft cup.

Was going to temp but dunno if it’s worth it as I’m on night duty atm until next week so won’t be able to start then. Thoughts?

Hey ladies. Thanks for the new thread @Sjp17!

So I’m mightily fed up. Bled for 11 days this month. Got flashing smiley on clear blue OPK yesterday and today but nothing on a cheapie so not bothering to DTD. Feel like I’m not ovulating properly (or at all). Thankfully acupuncture Thursday then blood tests 21st so hoping doc can tell me a bit more.

Going to keep using the two different OPK’s to test for ovulation to give us best shot (and so we can best time DTD given we have a small DC so it’s not easy!)

All being well, I’ll be testing 28 Feb

I'm not sure about normal temping and night shifts- think it has to be at the same time every morning. It doesn't matter with a wearable sensor as long as you get a solid sleep of 3-4 hours at any time- really useful if your sleep patterns vary a lot. If Ava is too expensive, maybe there are cheaper versions out there or you can get second hand on eBay.
That must be really frustrating for you @burntpinky sometimes I get a lot of flashing smileys and I wonder if it registers a false estrogen surge and then just keeps flashing every day. I tested my theory on a new tester one day and it was a low reading!! Think it's wise to do the cheapies too. Hope the acupuncture helps.

I'd like to join please! Been a lurker but never joined...Came off the pill in August TTC no 2 and cycle has been a total mess since! This month has included full on mid cycle bleeding, so I have no idea what's going on...again! It's been really getting me down and my moods are a total mess! Would be nice to have some company along the way
Have been temping, which is all over the place and using OPK this month but it's always negative, so not ideal! Tracking things with an app, which tells me I'll be getting my March period on my birthday - great!!

Guess that should say 'March AF', not down with the lingo yet..!

@RR369 thanks, yea was on reading more about temping and noticed that I had to temp at same time every day after sleeping... unfortunately as a nurse and constantly rotating back and forth onto day shifts then nights I don’t think it’s possible for me as some mornings at 6am I will be just waking up and others at that time I will be run off my feet on a busy ward lol

This whole rollercoaster is really getting me down more than I thought it would

Anyone tried the SMEP?

I totally empathise @2020wish, I think it can be more stressful that people realise. It does sound like temping isn't going to be that helpful for you as I think consistency is key in terms of timing.

Guess I'm sort of doing SMEP (this is where I admit that I just had to Google want it is...) though tricky when you don't know when ov is!

Think I’m going to give it a go this month/ I’ve been tracking ovulation on the digital tests but think I’ll try and stick to that routine and see how I get on

Ttc number 2 (current son is 8!)
Been off contraception since April so 11 months but been really tracking and trying since September so let's say cycle 7 so I feel better!!

Currently getting the ball rolling on sperm analysis as my current partner has no children.

I do temping and Opks but tbh I am lucky in the sense that my cycles are like clock work and I ovulate cd15 consistently.

@2020wish I've heard great things about SMEP tbh so it's a good plan to have

Been using preseed this month (sperm friendly lube!), also started taking agnus castus to see if it will sort things out (jealous of the clockwork cycles!) and have been taking vitabiotics preconception for what seems like forever...

Def going to try SMEP if this month hasn't gone to plan, as it seems like a sensible approach!

Am intrigued by acupuncture @burntpinky let us know how it goes.

@tgwjslo pre seed is a sperm friendly lube the mimicks this environment of fertile cervical mucus to aid sperm to mobilise to the egg. A soft fertility cup is a cup u insert after DTD and it keeps the sperm close to the cervix to increase ur chances. You get both in boots. I used pre seed last month so this month I’m going to add the cup in and see how we go lol

@Sunandshowers I've heard great things about agnus castus! And preseed is good when you're dtd a lot it helps fanny burn😂😂

@2020wish yeah we've done SMEP The last two months but I'm not certain I ovulated in December, but January I temped and can confirm still no success.

I'm seeing a naturopath today I'll pass on any advice I receive! This month we were going to try every other day then fertile week/10 days just every day 🤞🏼

also still having accupuncture this month, 100% over the last 4 weeks it's had a positive impact on my cycle and my period wasn't as painful as what I have been having also.

Oh yeah we use pre seed too, we weren't using anything when conceived my son, now my cycles are regular we might be able to try without. Gosh it certainly is stressful and heart wrenching isn't it xx

@burntpinky good luck with the accupuncture.
@RR369 last month I switched from the clearblue OPK's to the advances and I got no flashing smileys went straight to a solid! So confusing!!!

TMI coming...sorry but noticed I had some clear stringy mucus earlier. Did an ovulation test and the lines not showing a true positive but it's much darker than I'd expect for CD3...anyone else ever had this?!
