First month of ttc

Hey girls... thought I'd make a new post I'm struggling to find new ones 😂 I'm 28 nearly 29 and my other half is also the same age! I'm currently on my period and this is the month we have decided to start trying! I'm so excited but also do not want to get my Hope's up as I know it can be a very long journey to get that BFP! Anyone else trying this month? I'm looking to get ovulation sticks to increase my chances xxx

Yea I domt want to waste money Haha! I'm pretty sure my period is defo coming just from me being on one today Haha il test Sunday night xxx

@Ughmaybenot good luck!!!! Yea I'm still working I'm a retail manager had thousands of people round me the oast 2 weeks I dont know how I'm not I'll yet! From tomorrow only 1 customer can come in per trolley s9 should be a lot calmer the next few weeks now! Everyone stay safe if you're still working xxx

I caved and done a test! Negative:( didnt think I would be as didnt bother with sticks this month and only got round to it 3 times over a week and a half so probably missed it :( roll on next month xxx

Oh that’s disappointing @abby25 , sending you allll the luck for next time. It’s such a horrid feeling seeing that negative isn’t it?
Your work sounds manic, everything seems so scary atm doesn’t it? I work for the nhs (admin, altho front line as such) and it’s just always there in your head!

Hi all, how's everyone doing?

I've still not had my period, and my sense of smell is still crazy strong, things are tasting 'off' and I'm either off food or so hungry! I've got so many spots I feel like a teenager and I'm exhausted all the time.

Crossing my fingers... Keep doing tests every few days, but all are negative (they are cheap ones off Amazon, with no casting, just dip sticks...so not sure about them..) maybe it's worth ordering some first response to test when I've had my coil out a month?

I felt like this just before I got my BFP. There was no build up to the smell, it was Just there all of a sudden and so strong. Hope that makes sense ha.

@Ughmaybenot yea it's always disappointing but It will happen when it's meant to be! @batmanbaby how late are you? Zx

@abby25 I had my coil out on the 6th and started trying straight away. So I'm going off my period will be 'late' in a weeks time (when the coil has been out 4 weeks). But no idea if it works like that?!

Ah I'm not sure how the coil works!!! Onky ever been on the pill xxx

@abby25 they told me that you can pregnant as soon as it's removes if you've had unprotected sex in the last 5 days, and that fertility should return straight away. I'm just not sure if I'd count having it removed as my 'last period' date etc 🙈

I think they generally recommend you wait a month, just for your cycle to settle down, I don’t imagine you’ll be able to ‘track’ much yet iyswim

#ughmaybenot when I had it removed the told me there was no reason to not start trying straight away if I was happy to get pregnant that quickly

@BatmanBaby there is no risk starting straight away, it's more to work out your cycle that's all but periods after the coil can take ages to returns so I don't see the harm in trying straight away. That's what we did, and our due date is going from the date I had coil removed. I got my positive on 16th march and my coil was removed on 12th Feb! Got my fingers crossed for you xx

@Littlepeas2 hey have you tested yet? I'm due tomo but had a negative a few days ago so dont think I am ...however I have had back pain and I feel nauseous tonight but that's probably all the stress Haha zzz

Hey @abby25 due Monday!
I had really bad cramp, only for about an hour 10dpo followed by a large lot of CM (sorry tmi!) so I tested 11dpo and it was negative! I have no symptoms at all apart from I’m still getting stretchy CM.. but that could mean AF anyway! So just got to wait it out until Monday now as I have no more tests 😂 oooh nausea is a good sign!! I’m excited/nervous for you!!

Hello all! 👋🏻 First time trying here and just started TTC a few days ago. My husband and I can’t wait to have a family, so we TTC a couple of days after my last period but now getting a bit overwhelmed by all the things out there - Natural Cycles, the clearblue fertility tests, etc. Should we be trying to use one of these? My periods have never been all that regular (had the copper coil until we decided to start trying) and now worried that we’ll be missing all the target dates!

@Littlepeas2 I'm due today dont think il do a test today as sometimes I'm late anyway so might wait till Tuesday to test? Cant bare seeing another negative Haha oooo lots of cm is a good sign I keep feeling a bit wet to thinking I've come on but think I'm overthinking again Haha xxx

@Nmcardle hello! If you have irregular cycles it would be a good idea to use OPKs to figure out when you're ovulating lest you miss it completely. I just get a big box of cheap ones off amazon as the clearblue ones quickly become quite expensive!

Thank you! I thought that would probably be best. Did anyone else found it a mildly odd feeling when you first started trying... like getting pregnant is what you tried to avoid for years and then suddenly all of that just goes out the window 😂

@Littlepeas2 are you testing tomo? I've got no tests 😫 that's why waiting a few days I think il wait till Wednesday just incase it's a few days late il ket u know if the witch turns up..
Probably be tonight 🤣🤣🤣 zxx
