Anyone else in the dreaded TWW? I think I'm around 5/6 dpo...not wanting to look at every symptom in a few days as don't want to get disappointed but i know it'll be so hard!
Wishing this week would hurry, due around 4th Feb. Anyone else around the same time as me?

@burntpinky my doctor basically told me not to bother ‘wasting my money’ on special pregnancy supplements and to just take folic acid and eat healthily (which I do anyway) so I’ve not tried anything else yet, but I might think about doing so...I like the idea of acupuncture so might look into that. I’ve not heard of ubiquinol, is it something you would recommend?

skh197 · 28/01/2020 21:15

@Strawbs20 looks like we’re all going to be spending our weekend willing AF not to arrive!! Good luck!

burntpinky · 29/01/2020 09:49

@SkyBlue20 I hear ya! It’s just annoying how TTC leaves one in limbo. It’s quite exciting when first trying but after a while....

Fingers crossed your tingly nips are a bun in the oven!

burntpinky · 29/01/2020 09:52

@skh197 yes def just folic is good.

I would, if you google “ubiquinol scientific researches” there are various proper scientific papers showing it improved sperm quality in men and egg quality in (young I think) women. They do say take co enzyme q10 when you’re TTC but after about 35 (I think) your body can’t break that down so you need to get the super concentrated version which is ubiquinol. Only rub is it is quite expensive but I justify it by saying it’s cheaper than trying IVF!

Def do your own research - I don’t know whether it made a difference but I’d had a MMC so was going to try anything!!!

burntpinky · 29/01/2020 09:54

@skh197 sorry you’ll also need to add words egg quality - there’s a 2018 study which was done after I was pg with my first and some earlier studies also

SkyBlue20 · 29/01/2020 12:45

HOW is there still a week to wait?! I’m trying so hard not to symptom spot but I’ve had to go for a wee four times in the last hour which is not normal! Trying to tell myself it’s probably another new pre-AF symptom 🙄

burntpinky · 29/01/2020 13:18

@SkyBlue20 omg I know!!! It’s toooooooi long! I just got a massive cramp in my tummy 7-8 dpo now) which made me bend over but it’s either a bad sign (as I think pg cramps are light) or I have wind!!!

Strawbs20 · 29/01/2020 13:25

@SkyBlue20 I'm totally with you on the sore nipples, few days ago they were EXTREMELY sensitive kinda tingly is that makes sense?! Now they're sore to touch and my boobs were sore this morning when I got out of bed and started walking the PAIN 😭 they seem to have settled now but are sore to touch?! I absolutely hate the 2 week wait!!

SkyBlue20 · 29/01/2020 13:44

@burntpinky fingers crossed for wind rather than AF! I had the WORST wind yesterday 🙈

@strawbs20 Feeling your pain with the nipples! Mine lasted two days, had a day where they were only sore if I touched them, one more day of constant and are now pretty much back to normal. Boobs haven’t hurt at all though, just the nipples 🤷🏻‍♀️ Feeling SO bloated but always get that pre-time of the month and was also away at the weekend and ate like a pig 😂

Strawbs20 · 29/01/2020 13:53

I've been bloated too and very gassy it's so hard not to symptom spot I'm driving myself crazy! If I even admitted any of these symptoms to my husband he'd think I was absolutely bat shit crazy 😂😂😂

burntpinky · 29/01/2020 16:58

Argghhhh, a really good friend is back home after a few years away and have arranged to go out with her next Sat night. She knows we’re trying so if I am pg (unlikely) then I won’t be drinking and she’ll know and we vowed not to tell anyone this time!!!

Fia89 · 29/01/2020 17:44

Hi everyone!

Part question part rant here.
Hubby and I have been TTC since Feb 18'. Just had Hycosy scan and hormone tests, everything is normal. hurahh!
EVERYONE is saying it's my stress levels. So I've actively lowered them, finally, this month and feeling relieved; family eh! Anyway so I'm told constantly it's most likely to happen when you stop trying. So one big question I have for you all TTC or been in this position is...

How on earth do you stop "trying"? Is there really such a thing?

Granted, I'm a control freak, but seriously!? I mean when you decide "we're ready" surely this is ALL that you can think about? Or am I overthinking/procrastinating more than required?!

Support/advice/personal experiences would be much appreciated.

burntpinky · 29/01/2020 19:05

@Fia89 yep, I can’t offer much on that front as we were always actively trying for number 1. Though to be fair, on the cycle where we did actually have a successful pregnancy I had said if we weren’t pregnant that time we’d organise our wedding so maybe that made the stress levels lower?! Who knows!!!

skh197 · 29/01/2020 20:50

@burntpinky thanks for that info, I will definitely look into it! 😊

skh197 · 29/01/2020 20:59

How’s everyone doing this eve? I’m driving myself bonkers symptom spotting, may have to self-impose a Google ban!!! Still mildly nauseous, mild tummy cramps and also now lower back pain too. Must find something to take my mind off it! 🙄

YellowFlower22 · 29/01/2020 21:15

@skh197 I swear I keep having waves of feeling abit sicky...had my friends over for dinner tonight and was tired, just want to go to bed!
Another day down though ay....! Nearly there Grin

Hi Ladies, please can I join you? My two week wait is slightly different in that I've had a FET today but my wait is going to drive me round the bend as we get to do the test on 10th Feb.
If I've picked the wrong thread to ask to join though please just tell me. X

burntpinky · 30/01/2020 07:16

Morning ladies! Welcome @KE2017!

So I have felt a bit queasy couple times last cpl days and lightheaded/had headaches but trying to ignore!!!

Don’t know when to test. AF due 4th but might try and not test for a cpl days after that if AF doesn’t arrive.

Just feel a bit down about it all. Know I have to stay positive but, like many, feel like life has been in limbo for such a long time!!

Strawbs20 · 30/01/2020 07:21

Morning! Af due 4th for me too but spotting this morning and crampy so I think I'm out! 😭 Best of luck to you all 🤞

Fia89 · 30/01/2020 07:38

@burntpinky

I know that limbo feeling too! I can't remember what life was like when we weren't TTC and my calendar wasn't planned around my cycle!

SkyBlue20 · 30/01/2020 08:26

Morning!

@burntpinky Is there any way you can use the driving excuse when you go out with your friend? I’m planning on using that this weekend, just in case!

@skh197 @YellowFlower22 How’s the nausea getting on? I woke up feeling a bit off, I think I feel a bit sick but not sure. You know like when you’ve not had enough sleep or you’ve had a few (but not many) drinks the night before? A bit like that!

@Strawbs20 Hope AF doesn’t show her face for you, let us know!

So Ovia is telling me to test on Sunday (12DPO) but I would rather wait until Tuesday, however like the idea of being at home either way rather than having to go to work. That’s if I get that far, mind, pretty crappy today 😒

Strawbs20 · 30/01/2020 09:00

@SkyBlue20 I will! Seems to have stopped again now so not sure what's going on 🤯

YellowFlower22 · 30/01/2020 09:07

@Strawbs20 do you think it could be implantation? Sounds too early to be Af? Fingers crossed it doesn't start up again for you!

@SkyBlue20 feeling ok this morning, maybe I was just tired last night? Like what you were saying about not getting enough sleep I think I was just ready for bed!

Getting the itch to start testing may do Saturday....what's everyone else thinking?

Strawbs20 · 30/01/2020 09:12

@YellowFlower22 Im really not sure it was literally just a tiny bit when I wiped sorry tmi this morning when I woke up, but now nothing?! I'll see how I go over today and tomorrow, if nothing more I think I'll test Sunday 🤞

burntpinky · 30/01/2020 09:13

@Strawb20 - i thought I was out when I had what appeared to be start of period but it turned out to be implantation and he is now 16 months so fingers crossed for you
