ttc after mc July/August 2007 - shiny new thread as the other was full

Hi,

I hope nobody minds me adding a new thread, but the other wouldn't let me reply.

LadyLush - Sorry to hear about your loss . In answer to your question, I thought I was around 11-12 weeks pg, but the scan said the baby was around 8-9 weeks. When I'd had the ERPC, the gynae reg said the uterus was around 14weeks and the baby was still 8-9 weeks.
I'm sure things do get better with time, but things are still pretty raw and new for me. I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you (and hopefully for others too).

Afternoon ladies. Can I just say I hope it isnt a live web cam testing. That really would be TMI! No offence Im sure you are beautiful.

Lissie. Are you still TTC. I am using you as my benchmark. When you started TTC again I was going to. A bit of moral support for us both or just a way to beat myself up a bit more, I hadnt worked it out yet!!

Ellie I am sooooooo happy for your little bean. I cried again. Little arms waving I love it. I remember with both my dds they were picking their noses at the 20week scans. Gross.

Nh101, I am thinking of you and sending lots of baby luck your way. Will you have a normal cycle now with the Clomid?

I have forgotten everyone elses names and news but I have read all the posts and want to say how sorry I am for all those who have had to join us. And the girls who are currently mid MC, hang on in there it will end and soon. Your body is a miracle and fixes itself very quickly. You need to look after yourselves and not try and rush things back to "normal".
Th sunshine has gone and the clouds are back!
Bugger, summer is over again!

goingfor3 · 16/09/2007 16:55

LOL at the thought of live webcam testing, you can count me out of that one!

ronshar · 16/09/2007 17:05

I mean how would that work??
Would you have to show the whole wee thing or just a picture of the wee stick changing colour or the words coming up (delete as applicable). would you include the emotional response of the woman?
I dont think many people would want to see me screaming and throwing the aforementioned wee stick through the air. And possibly me throwing myself on the floor wailing its not fair why am I not pregnant again!
I mean who would want to see that!!!!

going4potty · 16/09/2007 17:15

Hi everybody, i havent read the thread properly but would like to say good luck to all of you ttc, mumsnet was a godsend when i had my ectopic in 2005 and i wish you all the best.

iliketosleep · 16/09/2007 17:57

ah ha but if you pissed in a pot you could do it from the comfort of your own computer desk then all you gotta do is dip and wait!!

ronshar · 16/09/2007 18:12

Thanks goingforpotty. We need all the luck we can get around here!
Iliketosleep Yes I can see what you are saying, it has merit. I shall give it some thought.

I have to admit ladies that I really want a BFP but keep getting these waves of fear comming over me and making me feel quesy and sared at the thought of actually being pregnant again.

sweetkitty - enjoy your evening

iliketosleep · 16/09/2007 19:04

goingfor3 i keep getting that when i imagine being pregnant again, keep saying to myself when it does happen im barely going tomove a muscle going to take endless amounts of folic acid and not having any caffine, also not wearing my jeans......

All the things ive thought could have..........

ronshar · 16/09/2007 19:32

Isnt it horrible how a MC changes you and the way you think about things.
I am so very lucky that I already have 2 dds and I thank whom ever I have to everyday for my good fortune. That does not take away the pain of losing a little one.
I can only imagine how hard it is for those of you who are trying so hard to carry your first litle one.
There are so many brilliant stories about women who have been told they cant have children who then go on to have a child 'naturally'. Or women who have had several MCs who go on to carry to term a beautiful little baby.
I am trying, badly, to say please dont get too down about the whole ttc thing. It will happen when your body thinks you are ready. That apparently, is not the same as when you think you are ready, as all the women on this thread can agree.

ronshar · 16/09/2007 19:38

Now about CAKE.
If a Friday is best then how about Friday 12th, or Friday 19th October. The week after is half term.
ElliG when are you over from Guernsey? Is it October or November. We should try and coordinate with the pregnant lady. (Secretly it is so I can touch her bump and get some luck. Dont tell Ellie or she will think I am a crazy lady). Lets start making plans as I missed the last one and I want to meet all my fellow wee stick crazy ladies!

RosyBelle · 16/09/2007 19:57

Ronshar - my mind has been ready for 3 years now but my body just won't listen

ILTS - am sorry I couldn't tell you earlier but when we 1st spoke you had just taken the pill - and I didn't ask the doctor til after that! What is wrong with wearing jeans when pregnant? I live in them!

Kensgirl - thank you for your kind words honey... hope you are doing OK xx

Scully - did you have ERPC? I had one 2 yrs ago and AF didn't arrive for over 6 wks after...

I keep losing stringing tiny brown things when I wipe (sorry for TMI) - could this be the start??

ronshar · 16/09/2007 20:01

Yes I know what you mean!
Are you waiting to 'naturally MC'. I tryed to find your last post but got lost. If you are I hope it is over soon for you.

RosyBelle · 16/09/2007 20:05

Yep - trying for a natural as have major uterine adhesions and erpc makes more of them!!

However - its not happening and I just can't get over it until its out (if that doesn't sound too harsh). I feel I can't move on and got upset at a childrens party today when someone who knew hugged me . Am not normally so emotional... so its time I sorted something out for my sanity if nothing else.

iliketosleep · 16/09/2007 20:06

aww rosy it sounds like it Mine started with a humoungous pressure on my cervix that got worse and worse.

The jeans thing was although i was only 10 weeks i was showing quite badly and my jeans were tight i know its stupid but its one of the mad things i thought of for the cause

RosyBelle · 16/09/2007 20:16

Aaahhh its not mad - I spent my 7 weeks being so careful and trying not to do the things I did last time - like swimming, flying, looking after my neice who had slap cheek!!

This time I took it easy... as easy as you can with a 4 yr old... and it still failed.

I think it will have failed cos of more serious things than your jeans but if you are more comfortable then give them a miss next time... if it helps you relax then anything goes in my book!!

ronshar · 16/09/2007 20:22

It has got to be one of the worse things in the world. The knowledge that you have your no longer viable baby insde you and that you are waiting for it to leave you. What man would go through that I ask!!!
I am working my way through bottle of Red any body want some? [offers bottle]

Lcy · 16/09/2007 20:25

Yes please - i always turn up just at the right time

RosyBelle · 16/09/2007 20:44

Yes please... had 2 glasses of rose yesterday - and felt a bit tipsy!! I am a cheap date though!

ronshar · 16/09/2007 20:57

Excellent, I never like drinking on my own. I am now ironing while bobbing about to Dave Pearce dance hits or what ever it is called on radio one. I shall be sitting down with my well earned tub of Ben & Jerrys any minute now.School uniforms ironed brilliant.

Torres how are you getting on? Sorry to my shame I forgot you were one of the lucky ones. I shall touch your bump too if thats ok. Now Torres runs really fast away from cake fest!

Goonight to everybody.

RosyBelle · 16/09/2007 21:00
