Too many threads and looking for friends to go through the TTC journey

Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@WednesdaySpinner - I tried spinning once. It was... not for me literally thought I was going to die 😂😂 I am so impressed that anyone can do it and not vomit on the handlebars. Personally, I like running, weights and bouldering the latter of which I'm a little unsure about mixed with ttc because it basically involves jumping off walls onto crash mats -- but I figure I will continue until given a direct instruction to stop :-)

TTC...unsuccessful last 3 months, did my first lot of ovulation tests this time and got a positive on 28th and 29th so now I'm just waiting to see if I get my period over the next 2 weeks...no doubt I will 😓😓😓

@EithneBlue @WednesdaySpinner that is exactly what I am afraid of... I know what my friends are like... giddy kippers. My parents actually found out by accident when I asked my dad to collect a prescription for me and my folic acid was in there.. he obviously told my bloody mother! Seems like they have let is drop for now though. I have tried to relax over the holiday period with a few cheeky beverages but I now have the excuse of 'dry January'

I absolutely love spinning! I need someone shouting at me plus when you're in a room full of other people, you don't want to look a fool which motivates you more haha.

@myttcjourney ooo seems I have a partner for the wait lol. I feel excited this month as I used the cushion tip... god knows if it will actually make a difference but it can't hurt.

Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone have epilepsy or experience of it?

Another question, is anyone using any apps? If so, which ones and are they useful?

Hey ladies sorry i have been MIA for the last few weeks. Im back now and getting back to my normal routine!
@jenna30 so sorry your AF showed up. If i remember correctly we were both due the same time? I am still waiting on mine but i am too afraid to test. Think im only 2 days late! But i am putting it down to being out of my normal routine with the xmas break?

@Shaunab16 - I just started using Ovia -- it's pretty simple and you can track as much or little as you like which is good :-)

@EithneBlue i tested early last month and the negative really hit me hard so i said unless im late i will not test. I have had a busy few weeks i was away a lot so wasn't thinking about it. And i felt a bit low a couple i know just announced their 5th 'surprise' pregnancy. It just sickens me that people dont actually have to 'try'. Anyway feeling better now so im wondering if AF is late for other reasons! Any symptoms that i had have disappeared now!! Maybe AF will arrive soon

@Shaunab16 I’m using Flo. To be honest it isn’t amazingly helpful but I figured at least I’ve got all my period dates documented in cse I need it!

@Lucy5546 I am never sure how much to believe what other people say about TTC, having been a little dishonest about it myself. 5 kids is unusual these days so perhaps they fibbed a little for social acceptability ;-)
That makes sense - testing early seems not the best way forward (I did it last month, wasted a bit too much money and was inevitably disappointed) - maybe set a target date? If AF is, say, more than X days late you'll POAS?

@EithneBlue yea i dont either usually. This month i have just felt a bit low and have taken literally everything at face value. Im felling better now though!! Yes i was thinking of doing that. So i think i will test at some point over the weekend. Its my birthday though and i dont wanna be disappointed.!! Might hold off until monday!!

I am definitely going to do that moving forward, if AF is x days late (maybe 3?) then do a test.

@myttcjourney fingers crossed indeed I really don't know. I'm too quick to test especially if I have any signs but I need to stop torturing myself. The past 2 days my uterus and lower back are s really aching... I know it's way too soon but I only usually get this a few days before AF.

@shaunab16 I'm going to try and hold out until AF is due. I think early testing is too stressful.. although I will probably cave 🤣 I think 12dpo is ok xx

@myttcjourney Yeee I will TRY and do the same haha although I have just bought some first response tests... Has anyone tried them?

@shaunab16 yes they are meant to be the most sensitive so will show up the earliest xx

Ok so i decided to test as ill be going out for birthday drinks. This showed up almost instantly. Im just so shocked
