Too many threads and looking for friends to go through the TTC journey

Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@lunasunshine thank you. Yea i wasnt expecting it. I wonder if its too early for a clear blue digital? No not long at all. I only came off the pill the end of September

@lucy5546 That’s wonderful and gives hope to us all! Considering how strong your line is, I would be surprised if it didn’t show up on a digital!

Hi, I'd like to join in please! TTC baby #1 and I'm 38 (fiancé is 36).

I came off mini-pill on 6 December and have had no AF. Bought the CB OPK test and have had 6 days of flashing smiley faces now (so annoying!).

It's weird - I've had really sore boobs on and off the past two weeks, lots of clear CM, sore lower back, tummy cramps and shooting pains, crying spells and a few queasy spells. Done a few tests and BFNs. Any other time I've came off minipill I bleed within a week or so. Also, when I've had sore boobs in the past, they would only have eased up on the day when AF arrived. Yesterday, boobs ached but today not sore at all.

No sign of AF coming and I've no idea when ovulation was/will be so we have been Dtd every other day since I came off mini pill!

I'm also obsessing constantly! 😊

Sorry for not posting, Christmas and new year took over. Tried to forget about TTC to be honest and enjoy some normality.

So I’m 3 DPO according to my Flo App, have tried to use OPK this month, but not been successful with knowing my actual day of ovulation. So have just DTD every other day in the hope we haven’t missed it. I’ve tried to track CM but I’m not overly sure what I’m looking for, I’ve tried googling a few things.

Really hoping this is our month ❤️

@MrsH0692 I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for this month! We’ve been trying since August and I’m so ready for it to happen now. I’m on CD6 and just coming to the end of my period. Think we’re also going to try the SMEP this month (as some other posters have mentioned) which means starting to BD from Sunday. I’m going away next weekend for 2 nights with friends so I’m really hoping that I ovulate early this month! I’m the same with CM - I don’t notice a huge difference throughout the month and I’m worried that I don’t produce enough EWCM as it’s definitely not as stretchy and as much as the books/google suggests it should be! But fingers crossed for you lovely. Hope it happens for you (and all of us!) soon.

Hello ladies, I'm realky glad to be here. Hubby and I have been TTC since July and I tell you it has been tough. From lovemaking that feels like a routine to using tons of HPT.
AF is currently one day late, I took a HPT today and got a BFN. Fingers crossed, I am still very hopeful; its all that's keeping me right now... HOPE!

FINALLY got a positive OPK today, I really wasn’t sure on my cycle, lucky I carried on testing as I could have missed my chance had I only DTD when my dates suggested ovulation! So definetley know we have DTD when needed and have done everything we can this month. This is my first month of using the OPK strips have just used my app since starting TTC.

@Lucy5546 YES!! That's awesome! Congratulations!! What a great birthday present :-)

@MrsH0692 That's exactly why I am using OPKs-- because the app fertility data applies to the 'average' cycle and most women's ovaries seem not to be so precise.

Do these look like a positive result? I did them on the 28th and 29th January and on 301st did a test line had completely disappeared. We DTD on both them dates, the day after and also the day before so I'm hoping they are positives..I have to wait now and see

@myttcjourney just put my results in a scanner app and both came back as high but not peak.. looks like I've not been successful this month 😓

@Inkdmama To be fair, I think unless you pee on those literally once an hour, every day it is possible to miss a true positive. You might have caught that second one on the upswing or downswing and if you had tested an hour earlier or later, may have got
a different result. If you have been DTD regularly throughout that high time (as you have) you've given yourself a very good chance to concieve :-)

@inkdmama don't trust the scanner apps, I added the same text pic 5 times and got some high some peak readings

It needs to be darker, as dark or very close to the colour of the test line which yours is 😊

@EithneBlue definitely agree, can miss it so easily. Mine can go from negative to positive in 2 hours!

Hi everyone !
I'm currently in the Tww and due on 9th. No pregnancy symptoms at all... but is it possible to be pregnant with no symptoms? Really hoping this is our month.
With regards to the OPKs, my doc said their a waste of time but I suppose if you do them properly their not. I personally haven't got loads of time to keep weeing on a stick and will just make me obsessive. Just been trying to have sex every other day throughout the cycle and hoping for the best. Keep feeling like it's never going to happen though!
Is anyone else temp charting ? I am going to start doing that with the next cycle, is it worth doing?

@FirsttimeTTC I am the exact same! AF is due on the 15th and I have recently bought a first response test which can pick up from 6 days before AF... I'm literally on the countdown. My boobs have been so tender the last few days and my moods are all over the place.

@shaunab16 ahh the dreaded TWW. That’s actually worse than AF then waiting for fertile window! I don’t even know what I can do to occupy my mind? All I think about is TTC.

Really suffering this evening with stomach pain, feel really uncomfortable like my AF is about to turn up (surely not possible when my OPK was positive today). I’ve never experienced ovulation pain that I can remember as have been on the pill for 15 years. Is that what it feels like? AF pains?

Sorry for all the questions. Feel very sensitive at the moment and like I might just cry 🤣🤣🤣

@mrsH0692 my AF pains are more like a powerful dull ache but when I have ovulation pains they are similar but more sharp? So sorry if that’s no help but sounds like it may be ovulation pains to me!

Yes I’d say that’s how I would describe it I suppose. Horrible either way. Feel so protective and anxious just don’t want AF to come 😩 or anything other than a BFP 😂

@MrsH0692 that sounds like ovulation pain to me. I suffer with this and I find ovulation pain much worse than af cramps. With ovulation pain for me it sometimes hurts so bad I can't sit down. My best tioa. Would be a hot bath which always soothes the pain and then a hot water bottle or wheat pack on your tummy or back (although I sometimes sit in my wheat pack and that's really soothing too.)
For. Me it tends to last a few hours to 1 day then stops so 🤞🏻it won't last too long for you. X

Hi all... I've not been here for a few days so just an update. I got 4 days of faint positives on 13-16 dpo but all faint and got getting stronger so I waited 48hrs and tested this morning at 18dpo with a BFN ☹️
I feel quite sad that this faint positive ended up as what seems to be a chemical even though it was only our 1st month and early days...

I'm now just waiting for af to arrive. She hasn't yet, currently 5 days late.

Can I ask - anyone who's had a chemical - how long was it before af arrived?

Also early pregnancy symptoms, I've had sore, slightly larger boobs - when do they stop with a chemical? I had my BFN this morning but still aching. It's not a symptom I usually get pre af so interested to see when my bras will be comfortable again.

And in the slightest despiration, had anyone had a faint positive that's turned into a negative, only for you to actually be pregnant after all?? (I don't know why I'm asking but I had to).

finished my period so look forward to having lots of sex with DH again. I haven’t even been Ttc that long but just found out a close friend is pregnant. I admit I felt a bit jealous. How on earth do people cope when they’ve been trying for ages.
