Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

I cracked. Tested at 9DPO with FMU... unsurprisingly, a white-as-white BFN.
Does anyone have a video of a burning £5 note I could watch before I decide to pee on any more sticks before 12DPO?

jenna30 · 22/12/2019 18:41

@EithneBlue oh no! You still have time some people have tested early and got a BFN but then tested later 14dpo and got a BFP. Im the same i haven't tested yet but i have no pregnancy symptoms so i don't think its happening for me this month. Right now i feel okay about it. I will probably feel worse when af arrives. 🙄

@MrsH0692 hiya! Ive not experience implantation bleeding but i have heard of it on other threads. Has it stopped? It could be implantation! 🤞🏽keep us updated x

@FirsttimeTTC oh i know! You are always taught to avoid unprotected sex as it can only take that one time to become pregnant but you don't realise actually it quite difficult when you are actively trying. 🙄. You are still very early in the ttc journey so try not to get disheartened yet but i understand how hard its not to expect to get pregnant quickly. I was the same when i stopped my pill in September but after a few months trying i more relaxed about it. The first month or so was quite hard. Im on cycle 3 now so still not that far along of ttc. Each month is hard when you get af arrives but this month im actually expecting af.

@jenna30 the internet is full of stories about people who get a BFP after an early BFN. The internet is also full of people who claim to have been abducted by aliens. It was daft of me to test. On the other hand since it said BFN, I feel no guilt about the glass of wine I am currently drinking. Fingers and toes all crossed for you though: are you definitely going to hold out until late AF before testing? (Sensible decision IMO, but not one for the impatient)

MrsH0692 · 22/12/2019 19:23

@jenna30

It’s not implantation I’m afraid, it’s AF. Never mind, weird though as I’ve been so regular and this one was 5 days early. Never mind, looking on the positive side this is a new cycle! Fresh start xx

jenna30 · 22/12/2019 20:23

@EithneBlue its not daft of you to test early as i have done it before too. I think soo... Ive been pretty distracted that last fews days which has made it easy not too think about it too much. With Christmas around the corner it should be another good distraction. Thing is everyone is different some people don't have symptoms and some do and both can get a BFP. You just never know until af arrives. Enjoy your 🍷. The difficulty with the tww over xmas is the restrictions of not bing able to drink. 🙄.

@MrsH0692 awh Sorry to hear that. But at least you can now enjoy a drink at Christmas and relax a little. Baby dust to you for the next cycle. X

@Lucy5546 how are things going with you? As the dizziness stopped?

@MrsH0692 Sorry to hear AF paid a visit. Baby dust for the next cycle and enjoy the fact that you can have a guilt-free tipple on Wednesday!

Hi ladies - do you mind if I join you?

It's my 1st month TTC too. We got married in October and agreed we would start trying in January but ended up trying this month anyway as I assumed it wouldn't hurt as its unlikely that it'll happen.

I'm just tracking CM and using the Flo app (as I have for years as I've not been on the pill since 2016). My suggested day of ovulation was 16th so we BD on the 15th and in the 18th I had really painful ovulation pain (which I do get on probably 75% of my cycles) so we BD again just incase.

Since Friday I've started to notice some brrast tenderness and today it's noticeably different. Not shooting pains but more aches and pains, a heavy feeling. Which isn't something I usually experience pre af... But who knows I'm either 5dpo or 7dpo... Due af on the 31st!

God the tww is SOOO LONG!!!

I'm trying not to overthink this but wanted to share and join this group as we all seem to be in the same boat.
Xx

Hi @jenna30 sorry i havent been very active lately. I have been so busy. Dizziness has gone. Only lasted those two days. I havent been symptom spotting the last few days haven't had the time haha. But nothing seems out of the ordinary now. Im roughly 8 DPO and feel no different to last month.

How is everyone else??

jenna30 · 23/12/2019 13:44

Hi @Lucy5546 thats okay. Its good to hear you have been busy (stops you from overthinking). I was the same this weekend. Just looking forward to Christmas now which will keep me distracted 😃

@Sausage1990 hiya. Sounds like it could be good news for you this month possibly. Especially as you stopped the pill on 2016 and your cycles are regular. Keep us updated 😃 p.s TWW can be awful

@jenna30 We will have to wait and see. I don't know if it's normal for symptoms to come and go? The soreness has gone away pretty today (well so far, it's not even 19am yet) But I was so sore Sunday and still a bit achey yesterday...

Does anyone else have any symptoms in their tww?

Hope you guys are all looking forward to Christmas - hope you have a great time with your loved ones ❤️🎄🎅

Sausage1990 · 24/12/2019 09:59

Sorry my typing errors were stupid. I mean the soreness has pretty much gone away so far (although it's not even 10am yet).... Not 19am!!

jenna30 · 24/12/2019 11:02

Well ladies, i think I'm out this month. I haven't started af and still have awhile yet for it to appear. But i have no symptoms what so ever. I know many people will say that i have still have time but I just have this feeling its not happening for me this month. I hope you ladies have a lovely Christmas and some good news 😀 xx

OP posts:
jenna30 · 24/12/2019 21:42

@fioney25 Hope you are well? I was wondering how you were doing as i think we are on the same dpo. X

OP posts:
EithneBlue · 25/12/2019 07:31

@jenna30 I'm definitely also feeling out this month - I know there's a lot of "you're not out until AF is here" but the only symptoms I've had are totally psychosomatic (and an obsessive desire to POAS)... also the BFN at 11DPO yesterday was pretty clear. I have decided probably not to test now until after AF is due, it's just demoralising and financially foolish -- that way if AF comes I am on to cycle 2 (ish) and if I'm wrong it'll be a nice surprise.

When is AF due for you? At least you can now have a few Christmas drinks without feeling too guilty. I know I will be!

Have a lovely Christmas ladies!! Xx

jenna30 · 26/12/2019 19:53

@EithneBlue hiya i hope you had a lovely xmas. My af is due in four days. I had a lovely day yesterday and even though i was distracted, having my cousin around with his new baby just makes me want one so much more. X

OP posts:
FirsttimeTTC · 26/12/2019 20:23

@jenna30 omg I know what you mean! I spent Christmas with my ILs and my niece was there (2 weeks old). Lots of cuddles, made me so excited to get pregnant. I did feel a little bit jealous mind, which I totally hated!! I never feel jealous :(

MrsH0692 · 26/12/2019 22:21

AF has been and gone... Cycle day 6, this is our first full month of me testing ovulation etc to try and understand my cycles a bit more. According to Flo App ovulation will be New Year’s Day. So 🤞🏼, don’t want to make DTD to clinical and forced! Xxx

swirls3468 · 26/12/2019 22:45

Hello All!
I’d love to join the thread as I am trying to conceive baby number 1.
I’m so broody it’s unreal.
I come off the pill in August and had a real period in September so classing that as the start of the ttc. I have been having regular sex but a relaxed approach.. it’s not happened just yet so starting to get a bit worried like it’s not going to happen. I am a bit impatient anyway. My cousins just had a baby and really confirms how much I want my own!!! Hope to hear off you all. Any advice would be appreciated xxx take care all
