Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@Jessharlow81 I have experienced spotting up to a week before period but not deep red blood. If you are due on I would say it could be that but then some people have implantation bleeding? If you don’t come on in a few days I would take a test for peace of mind.

Jessharlow81 · 21/01/2020 21:57

Thankyou I will just weird with everything going on not really normal for me to spot before a period I’m due on Saturday so it’s just a waiting game

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 22:10

@Vikki90 so since stopping the pill my cycles have been 26,29,31,and 30. So they have been increasing. That what we have been doing this month trying to have sex eod though I should've maybe started on cd8 but started on cd11. Who knows you can always think what if can't you. Or do everything right and still not become pregnant. Lolll. All fun and games 🙄

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 22:20

@Jenna30ttc totally! Every month I am like oh maybe it’s because we didn’t do it on this day..! I just find crazy I spent so many years on the pill trying to avoid pregnancy and then when I come off it hasn’t just happened...but maybes this month will be our month? Positivity is key 😬

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 22:25

Definitely fingers crossed it's our month soon 🤞🏽

AutumnCat · 21/01/2020 23:48

May I join? this is our first cycle ttc and I think we missed the boat. I sense I ovulated later than Clue app suggests but DH was having an awful week at work so latest we DTD was about five days before ov :/. AF due Sunday (ish) but my cycles are irregular and v long and I only had the coil out just before Christmas so things may have changed because of that. So...no idea where we are. Going to hold off testing until at least Sunday! Meanwhile hoping to make some ttc friends here:)

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 14:20

@AutumnCat Welcome to the crazy thread. Its annoying when you don't know where you are with your cycles. But it sounds like you dtd enough times before OV. Its hard not to overthink but feel free to post on here if you need to vent or need advice etc. Not sure if I will be of much help but I'll try my best. Fingers crossed for you.

FirsttimeTTC · 22/01/2020 15:36

7dpo. Finding it so hard not to symptom spot. My nipples are SO sensitive but they always are around a week before AF. I had a slight twinge earlier today but I think I might’ve been imagining it.
Yesterday I was super hormonal, I was crying then laughing then shouting for no reason! Poor DP didn’t know what to do with himself haha. But today I’m a lot less mood-swingy and I’m actually in a really good mood. The only exception is that I’m desperately wanting to POAS. Do you think 9dpo is too early to start?
I’m going to pamper myself tonight, run a nice bath, shave my hairy legs, probably wax my upper lip (wow I sound like I’m super hairy haha - I’m not, just have dark hair) do a face mask, paint my toe nails and relax.

What are you ladies doing to try and pass time in the TWW?

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 17:12

@FirsttimeTTC your post made me laugh (not at you) it actually cheered me up.

So I never really feel anything except a day before af I feel these sore sensations down there. Really random but I have never suffered from cramps when I'm on af or before af arrives. Yesterday I was 7dpo and I felt a few twinges, bloatiness (not sure if that's an actual word but oh well) and a few back aches. But I really actually don't think it's positive symptoms. I'm not due for another 6 days. Today my stomach felt really tender even so much that it kind of hurt when I was leaning against my desk at work. I don't even have the urge to poas because I just know I'm not. I would wait maybe another day or two. But if you do decide to test use a FRER. People have gotten a postive at 9dpo but it doesn't work for everyone. But you never know. P.s a pampering evening sounds lovely.

FirsttimeTTC · 22/01/2020 17:18

@Jenna30ttc haha Im glad it made you laugh! I just waxed my lip and I hate it. I stick the wax strip on and stand there for a good few minutes trying to pluck up the courage to rip it off. OUCH! Was totally not worth it, I should just embrace the tash.

You do sound like you have a few symptoms so don’t count yourself out until AF comes! Yeah I’m going to pop into town tomorrow and pick up some FRER ready for either Friday or sat. I really want to try and hold off until Saturday, I’ll be 10dpo then.

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 17:28

@FirsttimeTTC I'm the same when I do mine. But I'm getting my done at the beauty salon this weekend as I'm get to bf my eyebrows done anyway. I know but I'd rather accept that I'm not than hope if that makes sense. I'm fine with. I think its hurts more when I believe it's my month but it isn't. Ooo let us know when you do test. Fingers crossed!

peachypetite · 22/01/2020 18:42

I feel totally normal today! Kind of just want to fast forward several days and see if my period comes.

FirsttimeTTC · 22/01/2020 19:55

@Jenna30ttc ahh lovely! Enjoy the beauty salon. I love having my eyebrows done.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. Getting your hopes up all the time to be shot down is exhausting.

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 20:08

@FirsttimeTTC thank you. How is your pampering evening going?

EithneBlue · 22/01/2020 22:01

@Jenna30ttc - well, regardless of you being certain small twinges are nothing, I have my fingers crossed that you're wrong ;-)

@FirsttimeTTC - a pamper evening sounds lovely :-)

I'm just waiting for AF and CD1. Should be tomorrow, if my calculations are correct. PMS symptoms are (finally) fading so seems likely that I am correct. Then onwards and upwards and fingers crossed for the next cycle.

Question: is anyone else stuck constantly thinking, "if I get pregnant this cycle, it will be due on this day and also I will have to not drink XYZ wedding/event"? Or am I just an actual lunatic?

AutumnCat · 22/01/2020 22:06

I never go to a salon except my hairdresser. Would love to just to feel a bit treated! Meanwhile I just had a nosebleed which I've heard can be a sign. But I'm very determined that I'm not and that period will arrive early next week. Like you @Jenna30ttc I would rather be pleasantly surprised tham get my hopes up...

peachypetite · 22/01/2020 22:07

@eithneblue you are not a lunatic, no. I have events coming up in the spring like hen parties, weddings...

AutumnCat · 22/01/2020 22:37

@EithneBlue and @peachypetite same Grin. Especially that I'm an usher at a wedding in July so what will I wear (yes a female usher, its one of our closest friends getting married and DH is best man) and how long can I put off the rest of the ushers from outfit shopping?!

peachypetite · 22/01/2020 23:08

I’m also not sure what to do about booking a holiday in April/May in case I were to get pregnant and feel awful! I would usually book in advance but i don’t feel I can. Will probably wait and see and then book last minute. I’ve been put off by a couple of my friends who had terrible sickness in the early weeks. But I also know I can’t put my life on hold.

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 23:24

@EithneBlue nup as the other ladies said you aren't a lunatic. If you are then we all must be! Ive already said no to one hen because I thought and even do still think that i could possibly be pregnant by then but as each cycle passes I'm realising I won't be a far gone as I thought I would so I've decided if I'm not conceived by then I will be booking last minute flights to Marbella and getting absolutely hammered. @peachypetite like you said we can't put our lives on hold and yet we are stalling plans 😂.

@AutumnCat how interesting never heard of a lady being an usher but I love it and I guess it must happen but you just don't really hear about it often. I'm also getting my hair cut and nails don't this Friday for an engagement on Saturday oh by the way where I will be seeing my sil for the first time since she announced her pregnancy so not sure how I feel about that. My heart is happy for them but my head isn't. Is that selfish?

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 23:26

@EithneBlue awh thank you but I really honestly don't think it's my month. Could just be symptoms of an early af. But I guess I'll soon find out in 6 days or so. Let us know how you get on tomorrow and if af arrives.

EithneBlue · 22/01/2020 23:33

@peachypetite - I booked a holiday for April and another for July. I've got marathons and half marathons booked too - but I'm OK with the slight risk of financial loss. Maybe book somewhere not like... the other side of the world and cough up an extra £20 for insurance that'll cover it if you do need to cancel?

19CLT92 · 23/01/2020 00:37

Hello, as theres quite a lot of you in here. I thought I would jump in and ask, any of you ladies used vitex or using it to help with irregular periods and ovulation? Its herbal but.meant to help I've just started it and have had a heavy period 2 days later, anyone had this experience? Or.know of it. Thanks

Sausage1990 · 23/01/2020 17:46

Hi girls 😊 how are you all doing?

I suppose I just wanted to come to share and have a moment really... I know you'll all understand.

I'm currently on cd18 with ovulation predicted in 3 days (my average cycle is 35days) anyway despite being 3 days out ish, I don't have any change to my cm, which I usually do a few days before ovulation.
Usually I get some slippery wet cm and then it goes to proper ecwm for a few days which is peak. I don't normally do ovulation testing just listen to my body but decided I would test this month which has confirmed what my cm is telling me... No signs of ovulation yet... And I'm just a bit gutted.

My DH is working away midweek this week and next so literally the weekend is the only chance to try this cycle. Usually my app is pretty accurate give or take a few days and my cm would have already changed by now... I just feel disappointed that out chances this month are slim to none.

Maybe it's silly to be disappointed but I really am.

Hope you girls are all having more luck with timley ovulation xx
