Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

6 dpo today and still no symptoms what so ever :( feel like I am completely out Sad

Jenna30ttc · 20/01/2020 18:15

@fingerscrossed95 not everyone experiences symptoms. So you aren't out yet. But I understand you feeling like that. I feel like that too. 😔

fingerscrossed95 · 20/01/2020 18:43

@Jenna30ttc it's so hard isn't it, I'm trying my best not to imagine symptoms 🤣

Jenna30ttc · 20/01/2020 18:51

@fingerscrossed95 yup. After cycle after cycle when you get that BFN or af arrives its so deflating and then you pick yourself up to try again but then comes the dreaded TWW and you just know within the first few days that 'yup I feel nothing' but yet have the slight hope that it could the the month. Its so draining. 🙄

EithneBlue · 20/01/2020 19:27

BFN exactly as I thought. Awaiting AF now so I can move on to the next cycle which should be any time between tomorrow and Thursday (so long as Ovia estimated correctly). Crappy PMS this month, though: my boobs were never this sore when I was on the pill. I guess my body still needs time to settle itself.
Blah. Off for a run.

Jenna30ttc · 20/01/2020 19:31

@EithneBlue I'm so sorry! Its so shit! I don't know how us women do this every month. I don't want to get your hopes high but you still aren't out until af arrives. I hope you feel better soon

peachypetite · 20/01/2020 19:38

What kind of symptoms would you expect? Sorry @eithneblue.
I’m drinking beautiful red wine tonight. May as well enjoy things that you can’t do when you’re pregnant!

Jenna30ttc · 20/01/2020 19:40

@peachypetite I could do with some wine 😛

EithneBlue · 20/01/2020 19:58

@Jenna30ttc - it doesn't raise my hopes exactly (I'm too much of a realist) but I think the early testing allows me to gradually get used to the idea of a BFN rather than waiting anxiously for longer and guessing symptoms. Like, I still know I am not fully out (especially as that second EWCM was only last weekend) but I also know that the chance is much smaller now, so I am able to look beyond this TWW into the next one. Does that make sense?

@peachypetite I could use a glass of wine! Stupid dry January! At least I know that I can have a couple of drinks on 1st with no guilt. Wine

peachypetite · 20/01/2020 20:41

I’ve recently noticed my hair, which I only used to have to wash twice a week, is getting greasy really fast. I washed it Saturday afternoon and it’s really greasy already. Could just be random though. Will try not to drive myself mad this week seeing if I feel different, I feel like many things could be symptoms of early pregnancy but also completely unrelated!

Jenna30ttc · 20/01/2020 21:13

@peachypetite @EithneBlue I don't feel anything 😂 I never do tbh.

peachypetite · 21/01/2020 17:51

I had what I can only describe as “twinges” this morning.
Work has been horrible today so at least it’s taking my mind off it - it’s set to be a very busy week.

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 19:30

@peachypetite how many DPO are you? Twinges sounds promising.

Sausage1990 · 21/01/2020 19:35

@peachypetite Those do sound like promising symptoms 🤞🏻
We had a chemical last month but I almost immediately had the most greasy hair and twinges and cramping the whole time... I'll keep everything crossed for you xx

Jessharlow81 · 21/01/2020 19:45

Sorry to jump on me and partner are trying to conceive I just need someone’s advice on this bleeding

peachypetite · 21/01/2020 19:53

I’m 9 dpo if I go by the app, I’m not doing opks. I had no idea greasy hair could be a symptom! I will see if my period arrives when it’s due.

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 20:44

Just catching up ladies, got everything crossed for you @peachypetite
Think I am like you @Jenna30ttc I feel nothing, well I get cramps all the time and think ooo is this ovulation pain but it’s probably just food with me 🤣 I am at the beginning of the cycle stage so feeling very laid back but that will all change when I am waiting for AF to arrive. X

peachypetite · 21/01/2020 20:47

@Sausage1990 sorry to hear about your chemical.

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:02

@Vikki90 hiya! Nice to hear from you. I know I'm soooo over it this cycle. Tbh the most relaxed i am is when I'm at the beginning of my cycle. So I hope the next 8 days goes fast.

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:07

@Jenna30ttc that’s what I felt like this time last week as knew that I was pregnant. How long have you been trying? I could look back at the thread but I am just being lazy now and I have a memory like a fish! 🙈

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:08

Welcome @Jessharlow81 also...what’s your story with the bleeding? I will try and help but google is normally my doctor ha!

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:27

@Vikki90 lol that's fine I'm the same I forget details easily 🤣. I came of the pill is September but I would say I started trying properly from the December cycle. First few months or so was really me just having the approach of 'if it happens it will happen' but when I didn't I start getting obsessed. How long have you been trying? Also did you say you knew you were pregnant? Or did you mean you thought you were pregnant?

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:29

@Jessharlow81 sorry I was hoping you were going to explosion further? As @Vikki90 asked what's happening with the bleeding?

Jessharlow81 · 21/01/2020 21:40

So I started light spotting yesterday got slightly more but still light with streaks of dark red we are ttc so hoping it isn’t af but I’m not sure I’ll attach the picture

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:40

@Jenna30ttc sorry I am such a lazy texter it was meant to say I knew I wasn’t pregnant! But yeah I am the same I came off the pill end of June and took the laid back approach but have been trying properly for 3 cycles now. I was on the pill for 13 years so thought the first couple of months my body was maybe just getting back in sync but now I have no clue? I am very impatient but I am trying to not get obsessed but it’s hard not to...guess it’s why we are all here looking for each other’s advice! 😊 we are trying to have sex every day/every other day this month (or 42 days as that’s what my cycles seem to be saying) Are your cycles more regular? I feel it would be easier to track if so?
