Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@Sausage1990 - That sounds so frustrating :-( Perhaps your cycle is still a little confused? Depending how long your husband is away DTD before he goes anyway (use some pre-seed to help those little guys in if you don't have fertile CM) and again when he comes back? You might get lucky and ovulate once he's home again. Fingers crossed your body sorts itself out soon!

Swife · 23/01/2020 20:22

Well... my wait is over! I started my cycle today!😆 There's reasons I'm excited. First, we can start a new month with more info then the previous month. I also found that the two apps I use for the OPKs ( my first time) are very accurate with only a 1 day difference. That's great because it makes tracking so much easier.

I hope everyone is moving forward in their journey

Jenna30ttc · 23/01/2020 20:36

@Swife yayyyy! That's great news. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

AutumnCat · 23/01/2020 20:45

@jenna30ttc yeah my DH started it by having two girls on his team at our wedding! It's nice, we've been friends for a long time :). And I'm really sorry about how hard it will be seeing your SIL. Totally get how you feel there, and that's totally allowed xx

@sausage1990 I share your pain, pretty certain the same more or less happened to us this month with DH totally overworked during what would have been the best week to DTD. We did it a lot the previous week which would have been fine if I had ovulated on time but pretty sure I didnt...

FirsttimeTTC · 23/01/2020 21:23

@swife ahh! A new cycle is like a fresh start! Fingers crossed that this is your cycle!

Ahhhh! I’ve bought a frer for Saturday when I’ll be 10dpo. Please someone talk me down from doing one tomorrow. 9dpo will surely only give me a negative anyway? I’m soo impatient.

FirsttimeTTC · 23/01/2020 21:25

Also, I have a night out planned tomorrow, should I not drink just incase? It’s been a long week and all I can think of is a glass of wine. Or three Crown Blush

Pamper evening was lovely thanks ladies! Was definitely needed!

peachypetite · 23/01/2020 21:33

@firsttime I would definitely have a few drinks and enjoy yourself. My period is due in a few days but until I have a bfp I’m still having a drink or two.

Sausage1990 · 23/01/2020 22:25

@EithneBlue @AutumnCat it is very frustrating. I had a chemical last month so I'm just wondering that's what's delayed things a bit this month.
The bleed was like a normal period and lasted the same length of time so I assumed it would be a normal cycle but maybe it's just taking a bit longer...

I'm going to continue to try to stay stress free and not get too anxious because that will not help my cycle. I'm going to take the approach that DH being away means I get to be selfish and really give myself some tlc... Think positively!!!

Baby making is meant to be fun so chill the fork out (she repeats over and over and over in her head ahaha)
Xx

Sausage1990 · 23/01/2020 22:35

@jenna30ttc The way your feeling is normal. It's not easy being around people who are pregnant when you want to be. Our close friend is expecting and a good friend from work announced recently too. Its hard but try to reframe the way you think about it. I've just said to myself, at least I know when we have our baby that they will have a ready made group of baby friends ready and waiting to grow up with... And I'll have some friends to be mum friends with.
It's not easy but it's how I try to deal with it... I don't dismiss my feelings because they're valid but try to reframe it so I can deal it... I don't know if that's helpful 😏

Also separately @FirsttimeTTC a glass or two won't hurt... And it may be the last glass of wine for a while if all goes well 😉🤞🏻

peachypetite · 24/01/2020 11:06

Hi ladies
Happy Friday to you all
I am really trying to not get excited but yesterday and today I have had little bits of light pink in my urine and just now when I wiped on the tissue. I now have a dull belly ache. Could this be implantation bleeding? Sorry for the TMI but I can’t talk to anyone in real life about this, but my periods never start with such pale pink. It’s always dark brown. My period is due in three days according to flo app. Thoughts welcome. Thank god for this thread👀

Jenna30ttc · 24/01/2020 15:39

@Sausage1990 thank you for your response. You are right and actually I don't want to be that awful bitter person. I am genuinely happy for them so like you said I need to reframe it in a way that is positive.

@peachypetite how many DPO are you?

Ive just come back from the salon feeling fresh and pampered. Just had my haircut 💇‍♀️ from long hair to a long bob, eyebrows waxed and getting my nails done shortly. I totally deserve it. 😂 how is everyone else doing?

peachypetite · 24/01/2020 15:41

Going by my flo app 12 dpo

Jenna30ttc · 24/01/2020 15:50

@peachypetite I would give it a day or two to see how it progresses. It could be implantation but you won't know for another day or two. Sorry! Implantation occurs between 8-10 (at the very latest 12) days. Fingers crossed it is IB.

peachypetite · 24/01/2020 16:12

Yeh my app probably isn’t spot on to be honest. I’ve not had any more pink since this morning. Had a belly ache all day. I have a full on day tomorrow so unless this turns into a period tomorrow I think I’ll test on Sunday morning which is one day before my period is due. What’s the best test to get anyone know?

Jenna30ttc · 24/01/2020 16:54

@peachypetite Get frer. It seems to be the most popular and most accurate one.

AutumnCat · 24/01/2020 18:32

I asked the gp about pregnancy tests and she said cheapies are just as good as the more expensive ones :). I'm absolutely good with that, they can be ridiculously pricey!

peachypetite · 24/01/2020 21:44

I popped out earlier to get presents for tomorrow and nipped into Boots. Got some first response which claim up to six days before your period.
I have had a little bit more spotting and my stomach ache has gone. Will be interesting to see if this develops into my period tomorrow or not!

Jenna30ttc · 24/01/2020 23:17

Af arrived for me girlies. 4 days early! Good look to everyone else.

peachypetite · 25/01/2020 08:42

Argh Jenna! But at least you know. My spotting stopped for about 12 hours and just had a little bit now first thing. I am praying it doesn’t develop into my period today.

FirsttimeTTC · 25/01/2020 09:16

@Jenna30ttc ahhh sorry AF came!! Fingers crossed this is your cycle.

FirsttimeTTC · 25/01/2020 09:22

Thanks everyone for advice around having a drink last night.
It was so weird! I decided to go for a G&T with dinner. That was fine. Then we went to a bar and I had another G&T and that was fine but felt like it was going down like cement towards the end. Then one of friends got another one for me, it was horrible. I couldn’t stand it so left half. Got a glass of water because I felt so nauseous. My other friend then got me ANOTHER one, where at this point I had to politely decline and ask her if she could drink it instead. I then spent all night throwing up Sad which is so strange because normally I only throw up if I have way more than 2 and a half drinks! What the heck is going on!?

Sorry for the long post, I can’t talk to anyone else about whether or not this could be a symptom, not even DP as he’s out this morning.
Thanks lovely ladies!

FirsttimeTTC · 25/01/2020 09:30

Omg... I just went to the toilet..

I think I have a bfp? Or am I dreaming...
