Too many threads and looking for friends to go through the TTC journey

Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@Jenna30ttc hope you enjoyed your spa day, sounds like it’s what you need! That’s the exact thoughts I have! Seeing everyone announce their pregnancies but then really we don’t know how long those people have been trying and I bet they have felt like us at some point! This month I am gonna try the amazon sticks and I am going to up my fitness (as I have been so lazy lately) I have heard zinc supplements are good as well so I am going to get some of the as well as my folic acid and see! Hopefully it happens for us all ASAP! But this group has made me calmer in only 2 days so thanks for setting it up! And hopefully sharing our own experiences makes everyone feel more relaxed and chilled (which am sure is better for baby making than stress) 😃 xx

I had a break from the thread whilst I was on holiday and we've moved on since I went but it has felt strangely comforting to read everyone's updates.

@Jenna30ttc I know exactly how you feel, one of my friends has just announced her pregnancy and it is so hard to be happy for someone whilst being slightly gutted at the same time. I've been feeling really low about it this last week but I feel like I can't talk to DH too much or it will become all consuming.

@swife what amazing news, I bet you are so relieved!! I am also no stranger to the period or pregnant waiting game and have been patiently waiting for AF to finish so that I can start ttc again.

@vikki90 I will try to remember your words of wisdom because you are right

Still no AF this morning, tempted to do another test. But just don’t want to keep seeing BFN as it gets me down. I’m never late for my AF, my mind is running away with all sorts of theories as to why I haven’t come on yet. I’ve got AF cramps but it’s not here 🤔 xxx

@WednesdaySpinner 👋🏾 how have you been? Did you go anywhere nice on holiday? Hows the ttc process going for you? I took the dtd every other day approach for this month so ill have to see if that has worked. I don't even know what dpo i would be because i haven't tested properly and when i have, it has been negative.

@MrsH0692 awhh dear. Are you normally on time every month? If you can wait a couple more days then i would wait. Its hard when you see a bfn.

Well done for having so much sex this month! I’ve been off the pill and condom free for a while now but this has been the first month we’ve focused on days, ovulation, timing sex etc and it’s been so much effort having so much sex in a small window!!

@peachypetite im due af on the 28th of January. Im just hoping i have ovulated this month though or not missed it. Still going to track for the next two days and if still negative then i know for sure I've missed it. Hoping me bd'ing every other day has helped. 😫. When is your af due?

@Jenna30ttc my cycles have been irregular previously, only the last couple have calmed down so I def won’t be testing early. I feel okay at the moment, probably because I’m very early on my Ttc journey and know it’s likely to take a while. I would definitely be very shocked if I did get pregnant so fast.

Hi please can I join, TTC our first after a miscarriage in June, I'm 24 and partner is 25, 3dpo today, and tried SMEP this month for the first time, hope to see lots of BFPs :)

AF arrived!! I’m on night shifts so wether that played a part in it being late I don’t know. But I’ve never been late before!

Gutted, but never mind! On to the next cycle!!

@Jenna30ttc - I've been trying to avoid the internet and did totally get confused by the name change. I assume you're just trying to clarify your current TTC status?! ;) How are you doing this weekend - feeling better than before?

@MrsH0692 - sorry to hear AF showed - that does sound odd: the human body is very strange. Onward to the next cycle, I guess. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I'm still having a weird month. I never got a positive OPK, but had EWCM twice. I can't figure out if I ovulated later than the OPKs (I stopped around CD17), missed the surge, or not at all. We just DTD every 2-3 days throughout, until last weekend. Trying not to "follow a plan" or make sex seem clinical -- one huge advantage of coming off the pill for me is that it seems it was subduing my desire to DTD: for me, at least, that's made things easier.

I don't think this is the month for me, though I have sore boobs and some cramping, but I think I had that last month the only additional thing is a bit more CM than normal and some proper fatigue yesterday, but it was also Friday and a busy busy busy week at work -- I honestly feel like AF is going to pop up any moment (although I'm due on around Wednesday). Also I did POAS yesterday (at what I assumed was 11DPO but have no real idea - could be 11, could be 9, could be 5, could be that O didn't occur at all)- and it was BFN, which is also a giveaway that I don't think this month is the one ;) Next month I'm buying the cheap sticks because I obviously can't help myself. In the meantime I guess I'll wait out for AF.

Finally starting to try this month! Due period in a few days and then will be on it! It's been a long time waiting for husband to come round!

@EithneBlue haha sorry for the confusion.No reason really for the name change just decided to change it. Im exactly the same as you!!! I have no idea if I have ovulated this month as I started testing from cd12 and I still haven't had a positive OPK So either I have missed it or I just haven't ovulated. In the meantime me and dh have been dtd every other day since cd11. No idea what DPO I am either. So i guess I'll wait till the 28th to see if af arrives. Im feeling much better than I did a few days ago thank you. I have no symptoms but then again I never do. I don't think it's my month either to be honest. I also ordered pre seed lubricant which arrived today so if it doesn't work this month I'l try the lubricant next month. I don't think I've noticed any ewcm either which is even more confusing! Let us know if af arrives. Sorry for the BFN but you could still be early DPO especially as you aren't sure when you ovulated. Fingers crossed.

Why does the TWW take SO long????!!!!! I’m only 4dpo and I’m so impatient

My period is due in 8 days. Luckily I have lots of fun planned next weekend so it will hopefully take my mind off it.

Im due in 9 days! But haven't really thought about it too much as I've been pretty busy these last few days.

The TWW sucks. Ovia is telling me AF is due on Thursday, but also saying that I should take a pregnancy test tomorrow. I have one cheapie left, but I'll be pretty surprised if it's positive. I'll follow Ovia's orders, however, but then just wait and see whether AF shows before next weekend.

Technology is the source of all evil, methinks: I wonder if this was easier back when we all lived in caves?

@EithneBlue its so shit isnt it! I don't even know what DPO I am because I don't knew when i ovulated. According to my flo app i ovulated on the 15th but I did an opk that day and it was negative. I don't think it's my month again. Rather be negative I suppose than have some hope and then get disappointed.
