Anyone looking to start TTC in New Year?

Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

@Ginger87 maybe, you never know! We're giving it a good go for the next 12 months and then I can put it behind me and move on with being a family of three. My DH is working away next week so I might as well leave it to the Friday to test if AF hasn't arrived. Good luck for next week!

I have been super busy but it feels like a very long wait for ovulation, still another week to go I reckon! anyone else expecting it around then? I need a buddy!

I don't know why but I've been spotting today and this never really happens to me I'm on CD14 started having sex on CD10 but haven't really had a positive on an ovulation stick yet today the line seems lighter than yesterday but it's never been a proper line I was expecting it to darken over next few days as I'm supposedly due to ovulate sometime from tomorrow according to Ovia? I think I had a positive on an ovulation stick on the 2nd of jan. could it be stress?

Just checking in. Nearly two weeks since I took my last pill and still no sign of AF but I'm having a bit of cramping so it may be on its way. Is it weird that I want it to be so that I can properly start tracking and using the OPKs I bought?

Hi all, sounds like everyone's in a bit of a waiting period at the moment! I started getting ovulation pain today but haven't had a positive on an OPK yet so not sure what's going on there! Will keep testing with OPKs and see if they go positive or not.

Now I'm unsure it was the 2nd I went to the doctors I think. I think I'm overthinking this it's so hard

@butterflylove81 I haven’t had an OPK peak yet (I don’t think) and on CD19 today , was hoping I am one of these CD20/21 people now so will see. Try not to look into it so much and rely on the OPKs and keep DTD when you believe you are most fertile. This is my first cycle off the pill so not sure what to expect with my body but my AF did start about 2/3 days after my withdrawal bleed and I used to have a regular cycle but just can’t be sure I’m going back to that same cycle! So now just hoping I either have a positive OPK or that i do a test in a couple week and get a BFP or my AF comes again either way I just want something to happen! Feels like disappointment after disappointment with OPKs and think it can have a negative effect! Keep positive :)

@Effram I'm good thank you, are you? I hadn't been feeling well but I'm much better now! Had a hard week last week with my eldest who has ADHD amongst other things but we're all having a good week so far... touch wood! I think I'm due to ovulate Monday although my Flo app is telling me Sunday for some reason! When do you reckon ov day is for you??

@rhirhibumblebee Clue and natural cycles saying Thursday for me so still a week to go... My cycle is longer than yours! I am feeling impatient now which I know is not that helpful in month 2, but we are really busy so that should help the time to pass!

@butterflylove81 Sorry I'm a bit confused, you had a positive on 2nd/9th? have you had a period in the middle? I would keep using OPKs but I never really see a positive, I just see them get darker then fade!

Effram yeah I had a period in between I guess I don't know my cycle really well I don't know if I was having short cycles so was just getting a bit confused by when there's a chance I could be fertile and got a bit worried when I started spotting about a 10 days after my period as I don't usually get that I just don't know at my age if I'll ovulate every month and just got a bit worried that I'm supposedly in my fertile week and am not really detecting anything on an opk

Angel thanks yeah I'm not sure if the opks are that helpful thinking they are making me more anxious actually. I'm going to just dtd this week anyway even if I get negatives but my stupid brain yesterday made me think maybe I ovulated randomly after my period and I was hoping the spotting was some kind of implantation but I don't think that's possible because it would have been too early for implantation. I think I just started worrying there was something wrong with me or my fertility because I don't usually get spotting in between periods and never even had it in early pregnancy before

Oh could it? We didn't dtd that day had a day off but did the three days prior I'm hoping to try again tonight thanks for telling me that I didn't know you could spot at ovulation I seem to just have a period then it stops until the following month.

Thanks everyone sorry for being a pain I think it's just that because I haven't had this feeling before if really wanting something because it's my 3rd and the others just happened. So I didn't know how to deal with the feeling of wanting to be pregnant so much I wanted to try last September but my husband needed a bit more time to feel ready to do it again so I'd just suddenly felt a lot of emotion all at once

@butterflylove81 I spotted randomly last cycle before my period. I'm pretty sure I'd never had it before! It really threw me off! Also trying for our third and like you the other two happened without any real 'trying'. I'm trying to not be in a rush but also anxious that it may not happen, if you know what I mean !

@Effram how long is your cycle? My AF only lasted 4 days this time so I'm wondering whether to count the day before as AF starting as I was spotting a lot. I always have 6 day periods so was really strange to be so short. It's messed up my app 😂

Ovulated on cd26 so no idea when af is due! according to last months cycle it should’ve been yesterday, but with the late ovulation and all...

Rhirhibumblebee yes same I've been really wanting another but I'm 39 this year and so I agree there's just that bit of worry that it might not happen I know I need to relax more I genuinely just was over the moon my husband now is saying he's like a third he was a bit worried at first but more so about things like how do you get them all in the car. We bought an smax it has 3 isofix but he was still confused Wink

Hi all, I’ve been reading your updates but haven’t really had much to say so just been reading. Today I have hopefully a sort of update, 6 weeks after coming off the pill I think AF has started! I was so excited actually danced round the bathroom Grin just pleases my body seems to be working again although I had forgotten how horrible the cramps are 🙄 on a train to work and it’s so painful! No idea if this is a withdrawal one or proper but I’m counting it as AF so I at least have something to put in my apps- they’ll start working now!
Hope everyone is doing well, totally with you on the waiting that’s the worst bit! I’m so impatient so it’s not good!
Hope the BFPs from earlier this month are all doing well Smile

Afternoon.. How are we all doing?

Feeling pretty rubbish about ttc today. Blood tests came back & a few have abnormal levels Confused got to wait for a scan & then will see the GP again.
