Anyone looking to start TTC in New Year?

Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

Is anyone testing this weekend I love looking at squinters! I got my letter through for my booking in app at the end of Feb so it's starting to feel very real now! Although ive felt exhausted all week I've been going to be about 9pm it's really hit me this time

Not much of an update from me, pretty sure I ovulated on Thursday. So guess I'm actually into the TWW now (having previously thought I ov'd on Sunday).

I was exhausted all week, which I'm putting down to hormones, anyone else struggling to get used to all the hormones again?? I felt much more measured when on the pill!

@MummyMooCow I'm taking the cheap-o Asda version and omega 3, and seem to be fine taking with breakfast. If changing the time doesn't work maybe switch brands? My dr said they're all pretty much the same.

Well my AF finished yesterday , so only 4 days long! That's quite short for me so I'm hoping it doesn't mess up my cycle this month. Still feel like I've had the life sucked out of me though 🙈. So tired!

Yes I've struggled with PMT! I've also been having really bad headaches and been really lethargic. Really felt rubbish!
That's good to give the OPKs a go, I still haven't bought any. I'll give this month ago and then if not I will!

Well according to Clue, looks Valentines day should be when I ovulate. I imagine hubby wont mind that

Haven’t been on this thread in ages, congrats to all of those who got their BFP’s!

I’ve had a rollercoaster ride with ovulation this cycle, had been taking opk’s since cd 10 and been getting negatives consistently. Finally got my positive opk on CD26! That was on Thursday. Got bad cramps that day too. My last cycle (and first off the pill) was 33 days long, so I’m really hoping my luteal phase isn’t too short :( really hoping it doesn’t mean af is on the way :/ do you think I can still implant so late in my cycle? I’ve heard stories... been DTD nearly everyday haha hubby loves it, least that’s a perk!

AF finally arrived last night after a cycle of 60 days! My cycle length seems to be very irregular, I'm now starting to wonder if I could possible have PCOS, as when I researched, I seem to have quite a few of the symptoms. I'm seeing the GP tomorrow so hoping she might have some answers

@butterflylove81 I've heard very good things. A few people on threads have said they were trying for ages then got a BFP one month after starting to use it! Let us know how it goes

I've been quiet the past week or so, not much to report. Been using OPKs for nearly a month now and just got my high test reading yet! Almost a positive but not quite. Feels like things are starting to progress finally, had my withdrawal bleed which was just spotting on Monday. And now this so hopefully will have my first TWW soon 😃

Lucymagoo ive just bought some of these the digitals were annoying me I missed seeing the lines used these the last two pregnancies

@butterflylove81 I bought some preseed a few weeks ago, yet to use it but did a lot of research into the different ones and it seemed to come out one of the best. I ended up buying in Amazon in the end with the subscribe and save it was only about £12

The one step tests say the line needs to be “almost equal to” the darkness of the control line, do you think CD11 was a possible? My first cycle since coming off the pill at the end of December. Seems like waiting forever for a positive OPK but DTD lots at the moment just in case.

I’m having the same issue now, did another OPK to see if it was getting any stronger and it’s blank :(
Looks like you ovulated on CD 11 to me and maybe just missed the peak

It’s so frustrating we are not overly sure if that was a positive as i did test again later twice and the line just got lighter... I am not sure I fully trust these test... maybe as it is my first cycle since TTC it is longer but who knows! Best of luck

Angel son cd11 looks good to me, mine was so faint today but I tried anyway. I fell pregnant somehow first month by some sort of miracle the last two pregnancies so I'm up a height that we are actually going for it this month after a year of debating if we will have a 3rd baby so I genuinely don't know how to face the 2ww and doing a test I just don't know what to expect I very much doubt we could ever get pregnant first time 3x so I'm hearing myself up to be disappointed but at the same time am just excited I'm a bag of nerves right now and I'm still 3 days away from ovulation according to Ovia

Saw the GP today, being sent for blood tests and scans as she thinks it could be PCOS (looking at the symptoms I agree). Looks like this ttc malarkey could take longer than anticipated

I'm now 4dpo and symptom spotting like crazy, even though it's highly unlikely that I'd be getting any symptoms so early.

• I've been having quite vivid dreams (which is unlike me),
• Been feeling a bit nauseous (though also wondering if that's all in my head?),
• Got a slight backache (but maybe I haven't stretched enough?)
• Keep getting pains in my stomach/sides....

Any suggestions on how not to think about it??

I'm 10dpo. But I don't think AF is due until the 4th Feb. I definitely won't be testing until at least 4th Feb as I've had too many BFN in my time. I think I'm the only person on this thread who wants TWW to carry on forever. Whilst I'm in TWW I've got hope I guess?

I'm going to assume my LH spike on Sunday was enough to ovulate and I just missed the peak, will prob be testing around 10th Feb. Anyone else looking to test around then?

@lucymagoo I think AF is due on the 6th, so planning to test on the 8th if it hasn't come... unless I crack and do one of the early result ones.

@alliejay81 hopefully this one will be the lucky one.
