Anyone looking to start TTC in New Year?

Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

I was so excited when FF gave me crosshairs the other day. Genuinely gutted she has now taken them back. That no mans land is torture!!

I've also been reading but not posting. According to Ovia I was fertile the last week gone and we DTD 5 times in that time haha (just because, not as an actual TTC effort)! Although it is the first cycle after AF/withdrawal so could be total wrong! So now just waiting to see what happens (even though it still would be better for it not to happen this time!)

Still not smoking, barely drank in weeks, I think I just want my body to be ready

@Newbie0818 I think implantation can happen anytime from now until just before AF is due, but I think a lot of women don't feel anything when it happens. I know what you mean about the window!!

@yoomoo so pleased AF is here! I started tracking from my withdrawal bleed.

@JaffaCakeGal well done on the not smoking! I know what you mean about getting your body ready, I went out with my team after work today and stuck to flavoured tonic... didn't even miss the gin. I'm not giving up the booze completely though until I get a BFP.

Hi @yoomoo, I keep popping on to have a look, hoping that you guys get your BFPs. Fingers crossed for all of you.

I hit 5w on tuesday, but waited till today to do my last CB digital. Got my 3+ so now going to stop with the urge to POAS

@yoomoo good news that AF is here! I'm on 2dpo I think, didn't get a positive OPK but got the usual ovulation pains. So I'm in the TWW but not feeling too stressed about it, work wise it'll probably be better for it to take a couple of cycles.

Anyone near testing at the moment?

Hi everyone! I had a load of EWCM last night which I was of course pleased about! Looks like I'm either ovulating or about to in the next two days or so 😀.

@butterflylove81 How old are your other two? I have two boys 6 and 2. Haha that was my OH first concern - the car! We have a big estate so it would be fine but he's of course looking at bigger cars already 🙄😂.

@Newbie0818 ooh, it could be! When are you going to test? My CM is normal but I have been feeling a bit off over the course of the week and especially today (headache, light headed etc), and not been sleeping/ having vivid dreams which is very unlike me. Trying not to think too much into it though. Just want to get next week over with so I either get AF or test.

Evening all! Well not only have I got AF but I’ve also got the flu! Feeling horrendous earlier but currently dosed up on cold & flu meds actually weirdly glad I’m not pregnant and can take all of this! Stomach cramps along with flu symptoms is not good but at least it’s the weekend so I can fully rest up.

@Ginger87 I’m so glad to finally have something to track! I think this might just be a period for me instead of withdrawal bleed as it’s taken too long but who knows. So lovely to have actual numbers on Ovia now!

I have no idea @Ginger87 the whole late ovulation thing has really thrown me off, so I don’t know if my Af due date is based on last cycle (aka 3 days ago), or in another week at the end of the tww?! So confusing. Might buy a cheapie and test in a few days though.

@Newbie0818 hmm, I'd assume AF would be due two weeks after ovulation? Though if AF was due 3 days ago are you sure you're not pregnant already??

I spent the entire day on cloud nine I got a smiley face on a clear blue digital. Tested again at bedtime and it was back to negative again I have no idea what's going on with my body. My three year old finally went to bed at 9pm we had a Chinese and date night after. Wish me luck guys I'm working tomorrow and not sure we will get the chance again xxx seeing positive vibes to every lovely lady here xx

According to my app I can take a pregnancy test on the 12th of feb that would be 2 days before AF my previous pregnancies showed up 6 data before I'm going to wait longer this time rather than squinting over lines. Hopefully that will mean I won't have to test Valentine's Day and be too upset and can still have a lovely day either way x

@yoomoo Oh no that's rubbish, hope you feel better soon. I felt dreadful last week. Make sure you rest!

@butterflylove81 Same for me I could test around 12th, I think I will give in and test Valentine's Day though because I'm too impatient! Especially as I have tests at home, it's too tempting 😩🙈

I'm possibly maybe 5-6 days po and crazy with symptom spotting, am I knackered because I've implanted or knackered because it's morning and I haven't had my coffee yet? Anyone else going crazy? 😬😂

AF is due in two days but my cervix is still really high? Don’t really have any other major symptoms I might have felt implantation pricks but I’m not too sure! Any one else have a high cervix and still have AF? Thanks!!

I have no idea @Ginger87 :/ just having some spotting and cervix still super high and soft. I’m terrified to test so I’m going to wait it out. I peed on an opk to curb the temptation haha! A line there but not as dark as control so I’m not going to read into anything. Going to try my best to keep distracted this weekend as I hate seeing bfn’s. really hoping this spotting isn’t af knocking on the door too :( my cervix is usually low and hard when she is though so that’s throwing me off a bit. Torture!

I'm on CD28, DPO14, AF any time now. The next 24-48 hours are the only bit of the TWW I struggle with. Definitely have PMT so no real point in testing.

@lucymagoo symptom spotting is the worst, yesterday I felt tired and a bit light headed so I thought 'maybe...' today I feel completely fine. Just try and relax, you'll know soon enough.

@yoomoo sorry to hear about the flu and AF definitely not a fun but glad you've got the flu meds to ease it.
