Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

Yup agree with @yoomoo and @s witcharoo
Congratulations @RBSK1 that's a good line

The hormone levels are generally less concentrated in the day and the clear blues are less sensitive so it makes sense that it might have seemed negative

lastonetime · 16/01/2020 08:51

Oh sorry miss tag there 🤦🏻‍♀️ @switcharoo

RBSK1 · 16/01/2020 08:54

@yoomoo @switcharoo @lastonetime thank you! I’ve got docs at 11:20 so fingers crossed I’ll get a good result. I’m the world most impatient person!!

lastonetime · 16/01/2020 08:59

Hope it all goes well, appreciate with the family history it's a pretty daunting time

Might be worth asking the gp if you would be able to request an early scan with the early pregnancy unit?

I had an ovary removed and miscarriage previously and they were more than happy to give me a scan at 8 weeks with DD and they said they would do the same this time too

lucymagoo · 16/01/2020 10:04

Good luck @RBSK1! I've heard the same about clearblue so please don't worry too much

EffRam · 16/01/2020 10:32

@yoomoo and @rhirhibumblebee Yes September 24/25th are always the days most babies are born because of all the Christmas/new year 'accidents' and new year's resolutions to start trying! That's my son's birthday (although he was a month early!) and when we were in the midwives were saying they have to have extra staff on the rota for that week, and when the full moon is they have more again as they always have more babies at full moons! (I remember noticing the moon in the taxi to the hospital when I was in labour!)

I stupidly did a test this morning - unsurprisingly negative! Not due until Tuesday so not giving up hope but I don't have sore boobs or anything, i'm shattered but it's been a super busy week so I think it's that. I'll probably test again on Saturday because I'm terrible at waiting...

oh and congrats @RBSK1! that's definitely a positive. Digitals need a much higher concentration of the hormone than the pink dye tests so try not to worry :) xxx

Lola871 · 16/01/2020 10:57

@RBSK1 definitely a positive! Good luck with your appointment. How many BFPs have we had on this thread already?? Hopefully a few more come along in the next few weeks.

switcharoo · 16/01/2020 11:16

I took a pink dye cheapie and got a very faint line and another faint blue line so that's 3 thin blue lines now, still 3 days till AF so hoping to see them getting darker by the weekend! I'm still not convinced it's a BFP at this stage

@switcharoo it's definitely a positive!! Even though faint it's still a BFP!

switcharoo · 16/01/2020 12:06

Just took this one now, much stronger line and pink Grin

@switcharoo it's looking pretty positive to me!

charlesthekudu · 16/01/2020 12:23

Let yourself celebrate!! Wahooo

lastonetime · 16/01/2020 12:27

@switcharoo that looks clear to me!

lucymagoo · 16/01/2020 12:32

Congrats @switcheroo!

TheLastStark · 16/01/2020 12:47

Congrats @switcharoo!!!! Grin

rhirhibumblebee · 16/01/2020 12:47

@yoomoo I thought that might be the reason haha!

@Lola871 Mine is too! And I have two healthy boys and hasn't caused any problems 😀. My uterus tilts the opposite way too.

@Anon87 Yes I had been asked to have mine re-done as it's inconclusive.

@EffRam yes I tried but BFN, (due Tuesday too) shall we try again Saturday ? I fee horrendous, headache, sore throat and my wisdom teeth have started playing up so may need anti biotics 😩. Just feel really run down at the moment.

@switcharoo That's great! Congratulations 🎉🎉

yoomoo · 16/01/2020 20:02

@RBSK1 how did you get on with the doctors today? Hope it went well for you!

@EffRam how funny about September! There could be a few babies born that month on here Smile wonder what the full moon connection is?!

I also did a test this morning and it was negative, but most likely still too early and perhaps not a sensitive enough test as I was only using amazon ones. Think I’ll try a first response on Saturday like @rhirhibumblebee

Congratulations @switcharoo that’s definitely a line Flowers

Those with positive tests have you told your DH/DP yet? I bet that’s a lovely feeling I can’t wait Smile

EffRam · 16/01/2020 20:05

@yoomoo and @rhirhibumblebee I'll join you in Saturday test, I think the Amazon one steps are actually similar sensitivity as frer but could be wrong...

RBSK1 · 16/01/2020 20:13

@yoomoo Doc was a bit of a female dog in all fairness. Dismissed the tests as a manufacturing error and reluctantly took a blood test. Taken 3 tests since including a clear blue early detection. Still the same faint positive line.

All will be revealed tomorrow lunchtime when I get blood results back!

rhirhibumblebee · 16/01/2020 20:13

@yoomoo @EffRam Ok hand hold for Saturday 🤩. I've ordered a two pack of First Response which should arrive fri/sat . I'm honestly not expecting anything though this month if I'm honest! Xx

switcharoo · 16/01/2020 20:22

I told DH tonight and wrapped up a positive test as a present, there was less shock than with DS and just more happiness! We realise how lucky we are it working on the first cycle both times.
And I've told DH I don't want to start saying fingers crossed it sticks/if all goes well etc I'm just him going to really enjoy it
Good luck for your results tomo @EffRam !

switcharoo · 16/01/2020 20:22

Sorry tagged wrong person! Meant @RBSK1 !

Spark27 · 16/01/2020 20:40

Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow @RBSK1

Congratulations @switcharoo

eitak22 · 16/01/2020 22:38

Congratulations Switcheroo! Exciting we've had positives already!

Got everything crossed @RBSK1, hope it's a positive!

I'm still waiting for my AF. Clue has informed me it's late but definitely ni chance of pregnancy as were at family when ovulation would have happened. Just waiting to properly start trying. X

FootballAndBeer145 · 17/01/2020 00:33

Just caught up after a few days off here - been trying to use my phone less

Congratulations to those with BFPs!

I'm still none the wiser what's going on, day 52, no AF & negative tests. I used First Response twice (5th Jan & 12th Jan) - I'm tempted to try a different brand but not sure if would make any different.
