Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

Not sure if this is the right thread, but seemed a good bet. I’ve just joined and have an appointment to get my coil taken out on Thursday.
No idea what to expect but fancied finding some friends for this crazy journey.
I have TTC before, without success, but a lot is different this time.

My advice for TTC...

Previously I liked temping. It's not for everyone but I used an app to track my temperature absolutely first thing on waking every morning all month. I also used ovulation test kits from about day 10 of my cycle (I've got a pretty long cycle so you may want to start earlier or later in your month) I also recommend using a fertility friendly lube. I quite liked pre seed.
I like the use of an app as it tracks lots of data such as when I might have a headache. All of the data then gave me a good picture of my overall fertility 'health' and when I was ovulating and that I was ovulating at a good time of the month in relation to my period. Sex every other day is always a safe bet if you don't want to do things the measured way.... and using OPKs help you have sex every day for a few days in a row to encourage success. Good luck!

@rachTTC Yay! I always prefer First Response for some reason!!

@hannah17381 Good luck !

lastonetime · 14/01/2020 16:35

Congratulations @rachTTC!

I'm due Saturday, not hugely hopeful but you've made want to test now 🙈 I have a lone test somewhere...👀

charlesthekudu · 14/01/2020 17:17

Congrats @rachTTC!!!

rachTTC · 14/01/2020 17:27

Thanks everyone, will keep you updated!
I’m still about nervous about it with it only being faint! Hopefully they get darker 🤞🏻

rhirhibumblebee · 14/01/2020 18:36

@lastonetime Aghh not long! Will you test or wait? Good luck

lastonetime · 14/01/2020 18:44

@rhirhibumblebee not sure, I will let you know if I cave and test in the morning 🙈

I know I'll be disappointed if it's negative but it's still quite early

lastonetime · 14/01/2020 19:35

So I had a look over my Clue app, can't believe I've been using it religiously for nearly 5 years!!
For both my previous pregnancies (one successful & one not) I didn't get my positive pregnancy test until 12 DPO even though I did test early.

So I'm going to wait until Saturday because that will be my 12Days. Otherwise I'll just be gutted when there might be no need

rhirhibumblebee · 14/01/2020 21:47

@lastonetime Yes do tell!! My boys didn't show up until the day before AF but my last pregnancy (MC) showed at 9dpo. I'm 9dpo tomorrow but I'm not testing yet 🙈I'll wait until 12 at least ....if I can help it!

switcharoo · 14/01/2020 22:38

9dpo now so still early but can't resist testing, both done today at lunch and this evening so not fmu, look like positioning of evaps but I've never had this and had a few bfn on these tests before

@switcharoo

Do they have colour to them? Isn't it if they don't have colour they are evap?

Lola871 · 15/01/2020 07:21

@lastonetime that definitely looks positive!

@switcharoo definitely something there! What kind of test is it?

lastonetime · 15/01/2020 07:22

@switcharoo

Do they have colour to them? Isn't it if they don't have colour they are evap?

switcharoo · 15/01/2020 09:24

@lastonetime yes they've got colour definitely blue lines not grey or just indents but they're sainsburys and I know a lot of people get evaps on them

switcharoo · 15/01/2020 09:25

I think they look blue to me...

EffRam · 15/01/2020 09:54

I can see lines on all of those eeek congrats @switcharoo and @lastonetime!!

JaffaCakeGal · 15/01/2020 10:23

Ooo congrats @rachTTC @switcharoo @lastonetime I can see lines!

All I have to report is that i can taste blood today and I haven't slept properly in a week! But I think I'm just going a bit mad as I'm sure that was I had was a short AF rather than anything else!

Lola871 · 15/01/2020 10:24

@switcharoo I've heard that about Sainsbury's tests too, if the line is to one side, maybe try a different brand of test?

charlesthekudu · 15/01/2020 10:42

Congratulations @switcharoo!!! How exciting!

switcharoo · 15/01/2020 11:15

I think I'll try to hold off till at least Friday, I'm due AF on Monday and have spent far too much already on tests and it's only month 1 of trying!

lastonetime · 15/01/2020 11:18

@switcharoo congratulations that's a definite line!

rhirhibumblebee · 15/01/2020 13:00

Aww yay that's great!! @lastonetime @switcharoo 🤩🤩🤩

lucymagoo · 15/01/2020 13:06
