@Lottiepink I'm 10dpo too, felt incredibly nauseous last night and like I had something stuck in my throat but then I had swollen tonsils later on so realised I m probably just ill, was nearly tempted into testing but stopped myself.

whatsthecraic91 · 17/02/2020 19:32

@Anny27 I would defo day this morning looking at your OPKs. Happy days you got some DTD in before ovulation, I would get another go tonight if you can!

I'm very frustrated this month too, I had a few abnormal temps marked due to alcohol & bad sleep so I thought last night I would unmark them to see if it changed anything- it changed my ovulation day by 8days!! And we didn't DTD last week for cover 😐 last we did was CD16 so I reckon I'm out this month if it's right!! AF meant to be due Wednesday now it's next Friday! I never have long cycles so I'm really pissed off

Ok, my fertility issues have made this mildly off topic, but late March/early April I start ivf! Very excited

@ValidUser yay!! So happy for you I'm sure you can't wait! A wee New Years baby will be lovely 🤞🏼😊

ValidUser · 17/02/2020 20:27

@whatsthecraic91 I think so too!

OP posts:
Anny27 · 18/02/2020 07:36

Cd24 and temps confirmed that I ovulated yesterday 🙌🙌🙌🙌 find it so strange how I didnt get a positive opk despite testing several times (I had very nearly positives)

@whatsthecraic91 that's so frustrating! How many dpo are you now? Perhaps next month you could use OPKs as well do you have double confirmation of ovulation

@ValidUser that's really exciting! Have you told many people that it will be happening soon or keeping it to yourself?

whatsthecraic91 · 18/02/2020 07:50

@Anny27 happy days!! That's great you had all bases covered then! That's the thing if I had left femometer as it was with my abnormal temps I would be 13DPO today but now it's saying I am 5DPO! I really don't know if I should test tomorrow or wait to the weekend to see what's happening. I was absolutely sweating this morning so that's making me want too 😫 tried OPKs - I can only do them once a day as it's impossible in work and I usually get blank ones, I might try the CB ones and do them in the morning but they are so expensive 😐

Lottiepink · 18/02/2020 08:14

@whatsthecraic91 yeh I was shocked at the prices too, well worth it to get on track quicker. Yeh will at least wait til Friday I think.... I know so frustrating. So annoying about your ov changing. I would wait til the weekend and see what happens, if you can?far easier said than done lol!

@anny27 that last one was so close, sometimes i miss the positive ones, but kinda manage to work it out with the nearly ones ha!

@1990shopefulftm when is af due for you? Hope you are feeling better! The throat thing only lasted for me for a few hours. And it's gone now ha!

@ValidUser that's amazing 😊

1990shopefulftm · 18/02/2020 08:28

@Lottiepink it's due Friday so I m testing Friday night if it doesn't arrive. I m still very tired after a lot of sleep last night but the throat pains gone.

whatsthecraic91 · 18/02/2020 19:26

@Lottiepink I've decided I am waiting to Saturday morning!! DP has the tests so I can't 🤣 I'll either be 17DPO or 9DPO so if BFN I'll know I ovulated late 😓

Kiza · 18/02/2020 19:40

@Lottiepink no idea on the wait time for ivf referrals as forgot to ask that in the 1st appointment. Any more symptoms since yesterday?

@Anny27 I wonder if you just had a really short surge and that's why you couldn't catch it with opk? But at least you got it confirmed and as others have said managed to get DTD in time!

@whatsthecraic91 wow, can't believe your app changed it by that many days? Must be so hard not knowing how many dpo you are? Good thinking with DP having the tests to reduce temptation, I used to do that 😆

@ValidUser that's great news! So happy for you, have you joined any IVF threads?

Lozzlepop · 18/02/2020 21:53

Hi ladies,

So sorry I’ve been out the loop, had a rather indulgent weekend including a cheeky night away which was just what the doctor ordered! How is everyone doing? Hopefully the weather has calmed down for everyone!

@Kiza how was the HSG? As bad as you thought? Am I going to need a Valium? 😬

@whatsthecraic91 that’s great news about DPs SA but that wait is just ridiculous 🙈

@MIW01 sorry to hear you are having a rough time at the mo!
@ValidUser ahhh that’s amazing news, so happy for you!

@Anny27 sounds like you’ve covered the bases for this month! We aren’t allowed to TTC just now as need to wait 12 weeks to do the blood clotting test!

Just waiting on AF- first since the MMC so not looking forward to it of last time was anything to go by. I have my US pelvic trans abdominal scan booked in for 2 weeks time then a month to wait for my HSG. DF booked in for his SA next week! So we are starting to get somewhere although DF says he doesn’t wait to try before the wedding so in a bit of a dilemma, would you go back on the pill of you were in my shoes?

Lottiepink · 18/02/2020 22:04

@1990shopefulftm pleased you are feeling better, hope the bug stays away 😊

@whatsthecraic91 haha that's a great idea, least then it's out of your hands, hopefully you get the answer at the weekend about the ov confusion! You got any symptoms?

@Kiza so much to try and remember isn't there, I might write questions down for when we go I think, no not really just a bit crampy this afternoon as if af is coming, so really don't know.. so annoying tho 😂😂

@lozzlepop sounds like you had a great time 😊 least all the tests etc are all scheduled! Sorry I know there's been talk on here about the wedding, but I can't remember when you were thinking about having it? If it was me I think I would refrain from going back on the pill, I had bad mood swings etc when I came off mine, and I like being in control more now, but it's a tough one as if it's going to be a long time it might make it far easier for you?

whatsthecraic91 · 19/02/2020 07:36

@Kiza it's so frustrating! Are you in the TWW now?Hope your pains have subsided after your HSG!

@Lozzlepop it's nice to have everything booked! Weren't you thinking the spring next year? Honestly I will never go back on the pill again, I'm convinced it's the reason I'm having problems now. How do you feel about waiting?

@Lottiepink zero symptoms!! AF was meant to be due today and I usually feel her coming a couple of days before but I know she definitely won't be here before the weekend so I have in my head I def ovulated late 🙄 so annoying! Have you any symptoms? Hopefully we get a BFP this weekend from someone aren't you testing too @1990shopefulftm?

1990shopefulftm · 19/02/2020 07:42

@whatsthecraic91 yes I ll be testing on Friday. DH convinced me to last night and got a BFN but I was 11 dpo so not lost hope yet. Been feeling like I m missing normal tea and seafood recently so if AF comes on Friday I m having some.

Lottiepink · 19/02/2020 14:14

@whatsthecraic91 so annoying, it's worse with the longer wait now 😕 I know we really need a BFP on here been too long! Defo won't be me though, as my temp dropped so af will be here by tomorrow I assume 😔

@1990shopefulftm yes make sure you enjoy it too if af arrives 😊 yeh defo not out yet, especially with testing On a night too! I actually haven't stopped drinking normal tea... only have a couple of cups a day really so thought it wouldn't make much of a difference 😱 maybe I should start though!

1990shopefulftm · 19/02/2020 16:57

@Lottiepink I stopped because I wanted to be almost caffeine free, although what I had before was probably fine. Won't catch me giving up chocolate though.

MIW01 · 19/02/2020 17:36

Wishing you the best of luck with IVF @ValidUser

@Lozzlepop I wouldn't take anything hormonal if I were you as you want your body as hormonal balanced as possible given your situation. And I agree with @whatsthecraic91

Nutrition is supposed to be the biggest most important factor for managing hormones and I'm doing my absolute best to focus on that but goodness know what's going on with my body. I think sleep deprivation is a major factor but unfortunately that's something I've had issues with most of my life so no easy answer there! Have tried all sorts of supplements, off them for now hoping body will reset . . . Just glad I've got this husteroscopy booked in March

rathernotshare · 19/02/2020 19:14

Hello all! Brand new mumsnetter here so forgive me for my lack of acronyms Grin

My husband and I have finally decided that now is the right time to try , and I can't contain my excitement!

Kiza · 19/02/2020 19:28

@Lozzlepop it wasn't pretty but that's cos she struggled to get the catheter through my cervix, didn't feel a thing when she inflated the balloon or dye though. I did have some propanalol so knock your Valium back if you're partial 😄
That's great that you've got a number of your tests so close together, hope AF is kind to you this time around. I agree with the others about trying to stay away from the pill but I understand your risk of not wanting to risk another pregnancy, perhaps good old condoms and abstain from the fertile window?

@Lottiepink writing stuff and Q's down for the appointments a good idea!

@whatsthecraic91no still waiting on O, think it's been delayed by the HSG.

@rathernotshare welcome to the group, the excitement and hopefulness is great to have!

@MIW01 a friend of mine who's had insomnia for years tried a combination of cbd oil and valerian root, she said it's not down wonders but has defiantly given her an extra couple of hours a night. But understand that you want to refrain from supplements for a while.

So still getting cramps from the HSG on Thursday and have also got that weird spotting again mixed with EWCM which I had 2 months ago... this spotting is concerning me a bit and I'm wondering if it's hormonal?

whatsthecraic91 · 19/02/2020 19:52

@Kiza is it normal to have pains this long after a HSG? have you said to your doctor about the spotting?

@rathernotshare welcome! That's very exciting! Hopefully it's not a long journey for you 😊 were you on a contraceptive?

@1990shopefulftm I try to keep my caffeine down too, I'm not a coffee drinker, but I have 1 or 2 cups of tea a day and I swapped to caffeine free Diet Coke! I think it tastes the same but DP says it's different 🙄 I always forget chocolate has caffeine in it 😬

whatsthecraic91 · 19/02/2020 19:53

@Lottiepink sorry your temp has dropped, is it the usual drop you have before AF?

rathernotshare · 19/02/2020 20:02

@whatsthecraic91 thanks! Yes I stopped taking the combined pill 4 weeks ago so I know it could be a long wait yet, but exciting nonetheless Smile I'm here to learn mostly! Don't have many people to talk to about this kind of stuff, we are 25 and most of our friends are in a different stage of life at the minute

Kiza · 19/02/2020 20:41

@whatsthecraic91 when we saw the consultant early Dec it was only a couple of days spotting before AF as the long spells of spotting before AF had stopped early last year and she said it's fine.
However the spotting during O and longer spotting before AF has typically started after our consultation so nothing we can do until we see her again and are waiting on that appointment.
I've read online that cramping after AF can be up to a week or 2 weeks later, it's very mild cramping and not sure if it's O pains as I sometimes get those 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hadn't thought of caffeine in chocolate either and I have at least a bar a day!

1990shopefulftm · 19/02/2020 20:44

@whatsthecraic91 I agree it does taste the time. I pretty much have chocolate when I bake something rather than chocolate bars, but i can't give up chocolate cake completely.
