Morning ladies!

How is everyone on this chilly Tuesday? How your weather? It has been wild up here, wind and snow constantly! They had to shut the bridge home due to sheets of ice falling on top of peoples cars- madness so hopefully I can get home somehow lol!

@whatsthecraic91 that was us on Sunday, day drinking is the devil!!!

@Kiza I was deffo paying for mu night out on Sunday morning thats for sure. Oh no what a nightmare going on the wrong day 😂at least it is all booked in nice and soon so you shouldn't have to wait too much longer!

@Lottiepink I won't lie, I was not in the mood for going out at all, more due to the horrendous weather conditions though 🙈

Kiza · 11/02/2020 19:20

@Anny27 oh no, what a bummer after such a lovely time away. I'm with the other ladies on treating you and DH with the oral tablet rather than the pessary, try and use the cream just on the outer bits and wash it off before DTD.
However if DTD is too unbearable then maybe just skip it this cycle?

@whatsthecraic91 that's so frustrating, would you consider phoning the hospital department to confirm they have his sample and it is currently being processed?

whatsthecraic91 · 11/02/2020 19:54

@Lozzlepop not too bad here snow wise in NI but the wind - my god it would cut you 🥶

@kiza I don't think they would speak to me if I did - DP is off tomorrow as he has a job interview so he really has no excuse tomorrow not to ring - he says he will, so he better. Men - they'd do your bloody head in 😐😂

Lottiepink · 11/02/2020 21:51

@whatsthecraic91 ohhh no! Tbh it sounds like they have lost it... should be in by now... so annoying though, and fingers crossed it hasn't fully gone missing, just maybe not been updated or something! Hopefully he will do as he's Told and ring. I would be the same.. bloody men 🤣

@Anny27 aww pleased you enjoyed the time away, but to come back to thrush is crap, especially the timing... Yeh maybe try the tablet, hope it eases soon. It's so awful 😕

whatsthecraic91 · 12/02/2020 08:21

7DPO and officially lost my mind 🙄 freaking out over everything- DPs SA which is awol amongst other things!! Also my chart - why are my temps so low this month post ovulation, last month there was an obvious pattern. Every 2 week wait is the same why can I not just relax?? I have my repeat bloods on Monday too for my prolactin - which can be high due to stress, can't win. I am so irritated and cranky today I just want to sleep 😴

@whatsthecraic91 the lower temperature could perhaps be down to being a bit under weather and fighting something off perhaps?

I might do temping if I get to another cycle, but my body temperature seems to run a little higher than other peoples so I m not sure whether it's still worth doing.

Lottiepink · 12/02/2020 20:26

@whatsthecraic91 without trying to throw a spanner in the works, my opinion from the graph is that you ovulated on day 16? Could be totally wrong though, just thought it might be something to consider. What day to you normally ov? Did you hear anymore on DH's SA? Sorry you're having a crap time of it all, it's so frustrating sometimes 😕

@1990shopefulftm I wouldn't worry, mine also runs higher, right through, probably 0.2-0.3 higher. Once you have done it for a while, you will still get the same pattern 😊 how are you finding it?

whatsthecraic91 · 12/02/2020 20:53

@1990shopefulftm I'm feeling fine so I don't think that's the reason! You should definitely try it and see, I'm sure everyone has their own normal so you should see a pattern!

@Lottiepink ah you've confused me 😂 if I had ovulated later would my app not automatically adjust my chart from my temps? Before temping I always thought I ovulated CD16-17 but last month on my first month of temping it was confirmed as CD14 and then as you can see this month was even earlier CD12! We DTD right up until CD16 so should be covered if it was later! Where are you on your cycle didn't you ovulate last weekend? Are you planning on testing early or just waiting to see if AF is late?

whatsthecraic91 · 12/02/2020 20:53

@Lottiepink oh and still no SA results 🤬

1990shopefulftm · 12/02/2020 21:22

@whatsthecraic91 it's whether i can be disciplined enough to do it at the same time each day, i might be away with friends 2 days next month and i don't want anyone to know we're ttcing.

My friends are wonderfully supportive, if we had a loss I'd certainly tell them but i don't want any pressure from outside people asking when we're having a baby yet.

Lottiepink · 12/02/2020 22:10

@whatsthecraic91 sorry 😐 😬 it's just my interpretation from the graph, I think it will depend on when af arrives (fingers crossed it's your month though 🤞🏻) it just might change. It's relatively early considering, hard when you haven't temped for long too, so not much to compare by, have you got last cycles graph to go by? I've also started ovulating earlier and was very skeptical at first, it's just the bigger dip that makes me think it. Yeh I'm 5 dpo today, no I've lost hope to be honest, so just wait until I'm late... I say this now 😬😂

@1990shopefulftm if you feel it's nit interrupting your day too much, I would carry it on, even if you miss 2 days it's still worth it in my eyes, I think because it gives you such an insight, I don't think I could stop it tbh. But as I say, if it starts to drive you nutty, it's not worth it 😊 I totally get your situation too, I like to keep my personal info to myself as much as possible, saves all the hard explanations etc 😊

whatsthecraic91 · 13/02/2020 07:17

@kiza good luck today, let us know how you get on 😊

@Lottiepink my last cycles graph is perfect and how it should look according to google, not sure what's going on this month ☹️

@1990shopefulftm I was away earlier in the month with my girls and I kept mine in my makeup/toiletries bag and walked straight to the bathroom in the mornings without speaking and took it while I was peeing - don't think it make too much of a difference so that's an option!

Lottiepink · 13/02/2020 09:02

@Kiza good luck!

@whatsthecraic91 it's so annoying isn't it. My temp drop to cover line yest morning for some reason and then had this weird stitch like pain in my groin all day, didn't really think about it til it wasn't there today 😂 no idea what it was. I sometimes get that before af arrives, so god knows!

Anny27 · 13/02/2020 12:05

Thanks girls! I having taken the treatment and getting DH to use the cream so hopefully wont pass it back!

Still not ovulated....cycle day 20. Bit strange for me although there have been occasions in the past when I have had a 37 day cycle (so ovulating day 24 I guess) so might just be a longer cycle this month. Kinda works out as hopefully still get ti DTD when the thrush has gone before ovulation!!

@Kiza so is it this sunday your appointment?

@whatsthecraic91 yeah I cant see am obvious ovulation pattern in your chart as like you say, the temps are lower compared to last month. Keep going with the temping and see if they increase 🤞🤞

@Lottiepink same I think temping is so useful as just helps me know. Otherwise I would have thought I ovulayed a week ago according to my apps!

@Lozzlepop have you been asked to not ttc untill the tests come back?

@ValidUser @orangeloo @MIW01 hope you are all well!

Kiza · 13/02/2020 15:38

Sorry I can't help with the temping as don't know much about it all.

Thanks for the well wishing for today's HSG, the staff were wonderful! It took twice as long but that's because they were super patient and kept stopping when I asked them to so I could catch my breath, despite me taking rescue remedy and propanalol!
I hate the speculum part anyway, she struggled to get the catheter through my cervical opening as she said I have a really tight opening 🤷🏼‍♀️ but shouldn't make TTC a problem. It was quite uncomfortable and we agreed that if after the 3rd attempt it wasn't going in we would stop. Thankfully she got it through! Oh she also provided me with a pillow under my bum as I have a retroverted uterus so if any of you ladies have that make sure to ask for it!

Once the catheter was through she very slowly inflated the balloon and very slow put the dye in, I honestly didn't feel any of that, no cramping, no sharp pains nothing- I think it's cos she did it slowly.

She said I have a very small uterus 😄 and can DTD whenever I want. She said the dye went through easily and no blockages. For those of you who have this test coming up, if you ask them to go slow and stop when you need to catch your breath it's honestly no way near as bad as what I'd heard. My only bit was her trying to get the catheter through.

Now just have the TV scan this Sunday and all tests complete!

Anny27 · 13/02/2020 15:43

@kiza ahhh glad it went well! Sounds like you handled it really well 💗

I always hate a speculum as well....

That's great news that theres no structural issues

whatsthecraic91 · 13/02/2020 19:32

@Anny27 hopefully your are good to go in a day or 2 and you can catch ovulation! My temps are slowly rising but not by much but I suppose it's better than it dropping! Very frustrated this cycle 🙄

@Kiza glad it went well! Sounds like the lady doing it was very caring, that always makes such a difference! Brilliant news you have no blockages! Fingers crossed Sunday has good news also!!

DPs SA results are finally in!! HALLELUJAH 😂 only took 2 weeks and 2 days - not that I was counting 😂🤭 he has 53million per ml which is great according to the doctor but his morphology was 3.3% and should be over 4% - but because his count is so high they aren't concerned! So he is very happy, I am happy too but all the evidence just points to me now doesn't it🙃

1990shopefulftm · 13/02/2020 19:40

@whatsthecraic91 glad to hear they finally gave your dp his results. I hope you get answers soon.

I've had reminder letter for booking my first smear test, the actual test isn't scaring me much, it's that they suggest not having one when you're pregnant. So i don't know whether that means having one booked for right after AF so i ll i know i'm not pregnant but timing that and not needing to take time off work is tricky .

1990shopefulftm · 13/02/2020 19:46

@Lottiepink if i m not pg this month, i'll give temping a go for next cycle. you're right if i get too stressed with it then i ll stop.

MIW01 · 14/02/2020 09:45

Sorry to read about SA and temp charting woes @whatsthecraic91 glad it was all OK in the end!

@Kiza glad the dye bit was OK, hope everything goes well Sunday, let us know how you get on? I'm a bit anxious about GA but also really glad it's being done!

@Anny27 sorry to hear this cycle seems to be all over the place

My hysteroscopy is booked for 6th March! Was hoping for sooner as takes 1-2months for body to heal but at least it's booked!

I have glucose and ketones in my urine so having to have a blood test next week to find out what that's all about!!! One thing after another atm.

Kiza · 14/02/2020 10:34

@MIW01 It's understandable to be a bit anxious, I think most people are fine with GA so hopefully all will go smoothly for you.
Is the GA for the hysterscopy or is that a separate procedure to the polyp?

@1990shopefulftm I didn't know that about the smear test as mine is due also. Was it your GP who said not to have it done?

@whatsthecraic91 thank goodness you finally got the SA results and they sound positive! It may be that all your tests come back fine also and it's one of those unexplained cases.

Had some pretty bad cramping last night after the hsg, painkillers took the edge off. A few minor cramps today so hoping by tomorrow I'll feel more back to normal and can start DTD as now into our fertile window.

whatsthecraic91 · 14/02/2020 11:25

@Kiza yes we are very happy with DPs results so I decided this morning to ring the clinic to see how long it would be for my tests, 12-13 months - I nearly cried down the phone to the lady!! My GP told me 8-12 weeks so obviously I am furious. Waiting on a call back from my GP to discuss. I have also emailed the fertility clinic in Belfast to see about going private. Could be one of the unexplained cases but I want to know sooner rather than later! Did you take the day off to recover? How long to ovulation?

MIW01 · 14/02/2020 11:33

@Kiza wtf?!? 13 months?!? Hpw on earth do they justify that wait! That's worse than my letter from NHS gynae to say they've received my referral but have no appointments!!!

1990shopefulftm · 14/02/2020 13:22

@Kiza, no it says on the NHS website they can't read the results as well when pg.

whatsthecraic91 · 14/02/2020 15:00

@MIW01 I take it you meant to tag me 🤣 yes, 13 months!! Couldn't believe my ears!! My GP called me back and gave me the number of a private doctor nearby so I have an appointment with him on 26th Feb, then I will have my scan with him a week or 2 later depending on my cycle! So much happier now I have that to look forward too.

I'm sure you can't wait to get your op over you! Do you have to put TTC on hold until you've had it done? What does the glucose and ketones mean?
