I thought I'd start a new thread as the other one is full. Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

My nipples feel really weird today (11dpo, due tomorrow), can't remember if I've had this before. It's usually just regular soreness/heaviness but it's not so much like that today. Trying not to get hopes up it's a positive symptom...!

How was everyone's weekend? Smile

@Lina365 I'm not 100% sure either. The person I saw explained it as, it can encourage your ovaries to release more then one egg, so it gives you a higher probability per month than you'd have without it. That's for me as I they think I am already ovulating. It's hard to find much online about whether it helps with egg quality or maturity too.

Can I please join you ladies?
I’m on cycle 16, so it’s been a year and three months of trying for us. Just had a where they couldn’t find anything. Apparently everything’s normal apart from slightly lower sperm morphology for DH so he’s taking supplements high in antioxidants to help and my AMH is lower than average so indicates low egg quality/quantity but I do ovulate like clockwork...my cramping also starts like clockwork 10DPO every month....Sick of this journey now, two close friends recently told me they are pregnant, genuinely happy for them but just wish so much I could be sharing the experience

Just had a hycosy done, that should say - thought I’d be more lucky this month as they say it can help unblock the tubes but the witch got me and I’m on right now :(

@SeahorseWilderness sorry to hear you're still none the wiser after the hycosy, are you getting referred on further at all? I know I dread hearing of any more friends or family having kids, even if pleased for them doesn't stop it hurting xx

Thanks very much @starkid @RosettaR @KatBeCool, very glad to get it out the way! Very glad there's nothing sinister, but I guess it just makes me think what on earth is the issue then!

@Mrs71 Thank you 😊 The painful(ish) bit was literally less than a minute. The rest was just slightly awkward coz you're lying there with your legs in the air being given a guided tour of your uterus 😂 The whole thing took about 30mins.

@SeahorseWilderness I could have written your post myself.. exactly the same (other than the amh bit - I haven't had it checked). So I totally understand the frustration. I have to meet my best friend later this week who recently told me she was pregnant, really happy for her, but dreading it a bit!

I have just had my little niece round for the weekend. She was very cute but totally exhausting, which took the edge off this for a bit!

@PineappleC - I admit screaming babies/toddlers always take the edge off for me too 😂

Guys... I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but can't stop symptom spotting! AF is due today and I've not had the tiniest spot of anything yet. Am now not sure if I'm imagining all these other symptoms because I know what to look out for or not from reading about what to look out for so much! (lots of creamy cm, burpy, loss of appetite, weird watery mouth, heartburn, tired yet jittery, on-off prickly/tingly nipples with white stuff on the tips, bumpy areolas and right one possibly darker... not practised with cervix position checking but that was possibly still low+hard-ish).

I've noted them all down, even the smallest things, just in case something actually comes from all this. But the rational part of me is just saying it's me desperately clinging onto anything, as once af comes everything kicks off medical-wise. I mean, I could have just ovulated a few hours/day later than estimated 😫😫

When would you all wait until you would do a test? I'm 12dpo and luteal phase usually 11 days... Tomorrow? Wednesday? Sorry I'm just feeling a bit manic this afternoon and need some sense thrown at me!

Report
KatBeCool · 30/09/2019 18:29

@Lina365 according to one progesterone test I didn't ovulate, at least not that month. It helps ovulation with multiple follicles but I was also given Gonal F to help mature the follicles.

@starkid I'm still going cross my fingers for you. Symptom spotting or rather not spotting is hard especially when you notice so many abnormalities. So 12 DPO for me also, still don't have sore boobs. Had a tiny bit of brown ewcm just once yesterday but it happened last month also. I did a frer and I can't say I don't see anything at all but whatever I see is certainly not blazing pink, it's like a slight shadow. I'll try again tomorrow although my blood test is Wednesday but who has patience.

Report
starkid · 30/09/2019 18:35

@KatBeCool - ooh yes definitely test again tomorrow to double check if the shadow gets more visible! the brown cm is a good sign, although if you had it before can see why you wouldn't be too excited about it. Interesting that your boobs still aren't hurting too, very strange. My mouth has also tasted like soap all day 😂 I don't think that's a 'thing' though. Need to stop reading early symptom websites!
I've also got my frer in the bathroom ready for the morning, if af doesn't suddenly rear it's ugly head right before bed...

Good luck @starkid, i know what you mean about symptom spotting, i was thinking about due dates last night as AF was late but came this morning. Met a friend and had a good cry which helped a lot though...try to read a book/watch a film to distract yourself tonight xx
@PineappleC thanks for your post, have you also recently had a hycosy? X

RosettaR · 30/09/2019 20:08

@starkid, @KatBeCool, good luck to you both, I will keep fingers crossed. It would be amazing to have two bfps on this thread!

@SeahorseWilderness welcome. I also have low AMH, from what I've read there is not a clear link between low AMH and egg quality - just quantity. (Although if you've read different I think I'd rather not know ... I'm trying not to panic about it as that will only make things worse.)

I'm a bit concerned about my levothyroxine, I've only taken it two days and I feel like my heart is beating faster than normal. I'm not sure if it's just in my head! I'm worried it's roo high a dose and I don't know if I should stop taking it.

Report
SeahorseWilderness · 30/09/2019 20:37

Thanks @RosettaR I might not be right about AMH being an indicator of egg quality, I can’t remember where I read it. I’ve read so many studies and obsessed over so many things on the internet it’s becoming a blur.

I hope the side effects of your medication pass. Maybe it’s worth asking the doctor about the dosage if they don’t. Did the doctor prescribe that due to low AMH? I might ask mine about that

Report
RosettaR · 30/09/2019 21:18

@SeahorseWilderness I know, it's so hard not to obsess, and you can end up reading so much you don't know what to think!

The levothyroxine is for low thyroid function, so high TSH. Mine was only marginal though and the NHS wouldn't treat it. My heart rate isn't so high now, I think I will see what tomorrow brings and then decide what to do.

Report
KatBeCool · 30/09/2019 21:19

@RosettaR I don't think heart racing is related to levothyroxine. It's basically a TSH "replacement", synthetic thyroid. Try to keep your mind off of it. I take mine in the middle of the night. I read a study somewhere that taking it before going to bed is more effective. But it might also help you not notice any symptoms.

Report
PineappleC · 30/09/2019 21:43

@starkid I have my fingers crossed for you too! It's so hard to ignore symptoms when they seem different from normal, and you don't know whether to get your hopes up or not!!

@SeahorseWilderness yes I had mine last week. I wasn't able to TTC this month because the earliest they could do it was cd19.. which was probably the worst bit about it really! For once i can't wait for AF to arrive!! Sounds like yours went well too? 😊

starkid · 01/10/2019 07:55

Never mind, AF arrived this morning... Sad Was convinced! I should've known from the jitteriness, I always get that the day before.
So will be booking in my HSG for next week sometime Smile

@KatBeCool - how did you get on this morning, did you retest?

Report
RosettaR · 01/10/2019 08:32

@starkid I'm sorry to hear that. It is so hard not to convince yourself. Every month I notice something different, like last month I had a dry mouth. It seems stupid looking back but I'm sure I'll be the same this month!

KatBeCool · 01/10/2019 13:52

@starkid bfn. I can't stay positive anymore. Beta HCG tomorrow but it's not looking good. I see all these women waving their pee sticks with blazing lines on 9dpo and first month trying and on a third child already, it's just not fair.

@PineappleC yes hycosy also showed no issues but still not convinced everything is normal, keep thinking there must be something wrong but I'm not sure what....

@starkid good luck with your HSG

@KatBeCool I know how hard it is to stay positive, try to distract yourself as much as you can, I'm trying to fill my life with things as much as I possibly can to avoid obsessing...this should all be so easy for all of us but it just isn't xx

starkid · 01/10/2019 14:30

Thanks. Hospital isn't sure they'll have the results from chlamydia test and the referral back from my consultant in time to book me in for an appointment next week before the slots all run out... so might have to wait til next cycle. Urgh! In the meantime the months just keep running past.

Report
KatBeCool · 01/10/2019 15:02

@SeahorseWilderness it's the same for me - every single test I've done returned great results. And yet I'm not pregnant. All my hormones levels are of a celestial goddess, my husband's semen is of a stallion in his prime. What the hell????

@KatBeCool, the fertility doctor described my husband as having super sperm and a high count so I think its me...my AMH is low, but also I get spotting every single month, and terrible cramps I'm feeling really down today too. I went out with friends last night, had a nice time, then came home and cry...I'm thinking of going back to the fertility clinic and asking for HCG injections, is that what you are on? Is it your first month of trying them? x

KatBeCool · 01/10/2019 15:47

@SeahorseWilderness it's my second IUI cycle. I take letrozole, Gonal F, and ovidrel trigger. Each time there were three good size follicles (yet again, most perfect number) and nothing.
