@RosettaR It has gone quickly! 😬 I am absolutely terrified as the last pregnancy scan I had was not good news. I have already told my family as they knew we were going through ivf. I think I will wait until 12 weeks with everyone else though just to be safe as I am a nervous wreck!
How are you? Have you had any of the test results back?

@PineappleC I am keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@ValidUser that is great you have a date!! Time will fly by! 🤞

starkid · 20/02/2020 16:09

@FlapJackered Good luck at your scan so exciting, have you got many symptoms? Feeling ok?

FlapJackered · 20/02/2020 16:46

Thanks @starkid ❤️
No symptoms really, just very tired! They may yet kick in though so I am not counting my chickens!
Did you say you were off on holiday soon? If so where are you off to? (so I can live vicariously through you! - so fed up of this rain! 😩)

starkid · 20/02/2020 16:55

@FlapJackered - oooh not so bad at the moment then that's good! Am off to florida middle of next week for 9 days 😎😁

Lina365 · 21/02/2020 05:38

Good luck today @PineappleC and @FlapJackered!

@RosettaR I'm starting IVF this summer, too. Hopefully we won't need to and it happens naturally before that 🙂

PineappleC · 21/02/2020 09:03

Thanks very much @Lina365 😊 I'm about to head off there now 🤞🤞🤞

PineappleC · 21/02/2020 13:33

Well mixed results for me today. I now have 9 follicles between 12-15mm and another 11 less than 10mm. So good news in that there are more which have "taken off", but EC now Weds at the earliest (was meant to be today!) Pretty uncomfortable and knackered now, so think the next 5 days might be tough to get through, so feeling a bit crappy!! The crying newborn baby in the infertility clinic didn't help 😅

@Flapjackered how did things go for you!? X

starkid · 21/02/2020 14:20

@PineappleC - babies in infertility clinics isn't great :(
glad things are looking up, look after yourself in the next couple of days!

FlapJackered · 21/02/2020 16:03

@starkid Florida, ahhh that sounds amazing! I would kill for some sunshine right now!

@PineappleC that is definitely going the right direction! It is frustrating having it pushed back but good that the drugs are having the desired effect. Take it easy.

Scan went very well thank you! 😁 baby is in the right place, right size and a strong heartbeat. So relieved, after last time I had convinced myself it was going to be bad news. The clinic were so sweet as well giving us both lots of hugs!

RosettaR · 22/02/2020 17:28

@FlapJackered I'm so glad your scan went well and they saw a heartbeat! That's wonderful!

@PineappleC I'm glad you've got more follicles growing well now, but sorry you're feeling crappy. I'm sure the time until egg collection will go faster than you think.

I had my non fertility tests today and all looks well, they took some biopsies for testing though and I should get the results within 2 weeks apparently which would mean ivf in May might be a possibility if they are normal. I would love that!

I was chatting to one of the nurses and I mentioned we were hoping to have ivf. She said she got married at 34, had a first child, and then tried for a second for a few years, gave up, and then randomly got pregnant after 6 years when she was in her forties. It didn't sound like they had ever had tests or anything. That gives me hope. Although I really hope it doesn't take me 6 years.

PineappleC · 24/02/2020 17:56

@Flapjackered ahh that's fantastic news, really pleased for you! That must be sich a relief too! 😊

@RosettaR that's great news that all looks good! Its an anxious wait for those tests but a really good step forward. And Nay really isn't that far away!!

Good news from my scan today in that I am FINALLY ready for Egg collection!! 23 follicles, 7 of which are >18mm. So, it is looking promising. We had an anxious wait for blood tests all day (ironically given the slow-growing they were now concerned things were growing too much!) but all was fine! Trigger shot at 10pm tonight so that'll be my last injection (Well this round anyway)!!🎉

PineappleC · 24/02/2020 17:57

And thanks very much @starkid. Hope you are doing well too? 😊

RosettaR · 25/02/2020 07:59

@PineappleC that's such good news! So is egg collection today, or Wednesday? Either way good luck!

So after reading the report they gave me on Saturday again I'm now less positive. It also has a diagnosis of atrophic gastritis. They didn't mention it on the day so I've just been googling. It looks like there's two kinds, it can be caused by an infection in which case I'll need a massive dose of antibiotics and then more tests because it's hard to get rid of, or it can be auto immune in which case there's no treatment. I hope they'll be able to tell from the biopsies which it is, and I've booked n appointment with the consultant for 11 March, after the results should be in. I feel like I'm waving goodbye to ivf any time soon though.

Plus my cousin announced on Facebook his wife is pregnant. So generally feeling pretty rubbish today.

PineappleC · 25/02/2020 14:37

@RosettaR sorry about your test news. I've not heard of that before - is this something that will affect TTC or just needs to be sorted before IVF? Either way, any setback at this stage feels tough, so I hope you find out some answers soon xx

RosettaR · 25/02/2020 17:41

@PineappleC I think if it's an infection it will just need to be sorted before ivf. If it's auto immune, auto immune things do make you less likely to conceive but I don't think anyone fully understand why. Hopefully they would still let us do ivf. Really I just need to forget about it and think about other things until I have more information. It's so hard though!

Good luck tomorrow if that's when you have egg collection!

FlapJackered · 26/02/2020 06:12

@RosettaR sorry to hear the results were mixed. I have auto-immune issues. It might be worth asking your clinic about prednisolone when you come to ivf. I was put on it because of the auto-immune issues and it seemed to do the job!
Hopefully you'll get some more answers on 11th. X

@PineappleC that is great news!! Good luck with EC today! Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

PineappleC · 26/02/2020 15:40

@RosettaR ah I see. Well i really hope it's the first one, and that it clears up really quickly for you 😊

Thanks very much @FlapJackered and @Rosetta for your good lucks. I'm back now, feel absolutely fine, and we got 10 eggs. DHs sample still wasnt great so they're going ahead with ICSI as expected. 🤞🤞 for tomorrow's fertilisation news. If we get a good few fertilised then I think I will relax!

FlapJackered · 26/02/2020 16:05

@PineappleC 10 eggs is a great number! You must be really happy with that. Fingers crossed for lots of fertilised embies! 🤞

RosettaR · 26/02/2020 16:44

@PineappleC that's a really good number! Fingers crossed that lots fertilise tomorrow. It must be so tense waiting for the news!

PineappleC · 26/02/2020 17:49

Thanks ladies 😊 Yes I'm cautiously optimistic about it 🤞🤞 I think I'll finally relax if we get good news on fertilisation tomorrow. As our problem is MFI, that's my main concern now! 10 gives us a great chance though so I'm very relieved and will sleep well tonight 😊xx

PineappleC · 27/02/2020 10:04

8 eggs mature, all 8 fertilised! Huge sigh of relief here!!

RosettaR · 27/02/2020 19:33

That's amazing @PineappleC! You've done so well!

Something has changed with my cycle this month, possibly because I put on some weight. For ages I've been having loads of spotting after my period, sometimes up to day 10 even. This month I've had none. Now it's day 11 and I've already got loads of ewcm, a good few days early. Does that sound like a good thing? Trouble is, I can't seem to keep the weight on without dairy milk chocolate , and that's the kind of thing you'd usually give up for ivf. But if it has a positive impact on my cycle maybe it's worth it ...

FlapJackered · 28/02/2020 06:31

@PineappleC that is great news!! You must be over the moon! Now you just have the dreaded wait.🤞

@RosettaR I think that sounds really positive! I think if you enjoy the dairy milk and it helps you keep weight on I would go for it, i very much doubt that would be what makes ivf not work for you. If you're worried I would just make sure your diet otherwise is 👌

PineappleC · 28/02/2020 15:01

Thanks very much both 😊 I was really relieved, but still a long way to go until day 5! 🤞 No news today but I think they said they'd only call if bad news, so I guess that's good!

@RosettaR if it helps, I didn't hold back on sugar throughout my cycle. I felt that there were so many rules that I wasn't going to make my life extra miserable if I didn't have to! I did specifically ask the consultant beforehand and he said everything in moderation (of course!) but no need to give up sugar specifically because I'm not at risk of being overweight.

PineappleC · 02/03/2020 16:56

Just back from my ET. One top quality 5AA blastocyst on board and at least another FOUR to freeze. Delightes with that, I thought we might get 2-3 at the most 😊

Hope you guys are doing well xx
