@starkid 11 dpo, not sure why, but I'm nervous. My boobs aren't sore yet again.

Can't believe how many of you are so close to ivf.

@FlapJackered how did you find the injection lesson? Did you actually get stabbed lol?

FlapJackered · 17/12/2019 18:32

@KatBeCool luckily I didn't have to practice on myself. It was totally overwhelming and I forgot everything within 5 minutes of leaving the clinic 🤦🏼‍♀️ I am just going to have to hope the instructions in the box are good, or watch some YouTube demos!

@starkid @KatBeCool good luck you two! 🤞🏻 I reckon I will get a positive opk tomorrow, probably my last Opks for a while!

My meds arrived today, these are half of them that need to be refrigerated...it's ok, I don't need to eat 😂

@FlapJackered here are some tips for you :) keep them upright. And ice the area you're going to jab for at least thirty seconds, you'll barely feel it then. Once the needle is in all the way, don't push deeper, there shouldn't be a indent. And the videos will tell you the rest, it's pretty easy after you do it once. What are all the medications you got?

RosettaR · 17/12/2019 19:21

@starkid I am about 5 dpo and trying not to symptom spot! Af is due Christmas day which is a joke.

@FlapJackered I would also be keen to know how they showed you! @KatBeCool how did they teach you for the IUI?

RosettaR · 17/12/2019 19:29

Sorry for the out of date post, it didn't want to post ...

KatBeCool · 17/12/2019 19:30

@RosettaR they didn't teach me! They said they would but it never happened. I didn't care to anyway so I didn't press on. I just read the instructions top to bottom and watched videos on YouTube. About 4 cm diagonally down to the left or right of the belly button is the least painful spot, that I learned by trial and error lol.

FlapJackered · 17/12/2019 20:45

@RosettaR they went through how to prepare all the injections and where to inject etc etc. It was really helpful, I just have the memory of a goldfish! I should have recorded her showing me!

@KatBeCool good tips! I need to start making notes.
I have Bemfola, Cetrotide, Ovitrelle then progesterone, a blood thinner and an immune suppressant steroid for after transfer. 😬

starkid · 17/12/2019 23:34

Good luck with your injections and meds @FlapJackered !!

RosettaR · 18/12/2019 08:07

Can't believe they didn't teach you @KatBeCool! That's really bad.

Yes, good luck with it @FlapJackered. The needle is short right? I've been telling myself it will be so I hope so!

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 10:21

Hi ladies! Just been catching up haven't been on here for a while! Cycle day 27 for me today, I had a little bit of pink spotting about 3 days ago but that's all. Af due in 2 days time. Also had my TSH retested last week gone up to 0.87 so really happy about that too.

@FlapJackered good luck with the injections. 💕

@RosettaR yes I still go accupuncture too. I'm starting to get a bit fed up of it and it's so much money. I get my hopes up too much.

@RosettaR to be honest, there's not much to teach, it's so easy and simple. The syringes have gone through so much improvement that even a child can do it. Everything is pre-measured for you, there is no guessing or estimating, you barely have to do anything other than jabbing yourself and that can be described in one sentence. And yes, needless are very thin and short. Ovidrel was a bit longer but still only maybe 12mm long. Reading the instructions and watching YouTube was more than enough. But definitely use ice.

KatBeCool · 18/12/2019 13:34

@Mrs71 so great to hear that your TSH has improved so well! Do you have to keep taking your medications or do you get to stop at some point?

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 17:52

Guys I really don't want to upset anyone but I think I've got a BFP!!!! But I'm so anxious and worried.

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 17:53

I don't want to offend anyone so I don't even want to post the picture of the test I know how hard it is x

RosettaR · 18/12/2019 18:01

@KatBeCool thanks, 12mm sounds manageable. If it was too long I think I would really freak out!

@Mrs71 I know what you mean about acupuncture, I feel ttc is taking all my money and I haven't even paid a deposit for ivf yet. I also don't know if it is doing anything, the first cycle I had it my luteal phase was a day longer but it's gone back to 12 days since then. My antral follicle count was a lot higher after acupuncture, but that could have been something else or maybe it just varies month to month anyway. Have you noticed any changes to your cycle or anything?

KatBeCool · 18/12/2019 18:25

@Mrs71 congratulations! Maybe fixing your TSH was a key to it all.

RosettaR · 18/12/2019 18:29

@Mrs71 congratulations, that's wonderful news! I won't be offended, it's lovely to have a bfp on this thread finally.

Here's hoping you will be the first of many!

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 18:38

I'm so worried because this month I went out to my Xmas party on Saturday night had a few drinks. Also been taking night nurse because I've had a cold and really bad cough. I just thought what are the chances that I could be. Also my test is really dark and I worry that people who have dark tests they then say it didn't stick! My anxiety is overboard. Please help me stay sane!!

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 18:39

@KatBeCool @RosettaR thank you also! Just feels to surreal that it could ever happen it'll be 2 years in January for me. X

OP posts:
KatBeCool · 18/12/2019 19:13

@Mrs71 did you have any symptoms at all other than the spotting?

starkid · 18/12/2019 19:14

@Mrs71 - that's amazing!! Photo please! I did wonder when you said you had spotting a couple of days earlier.
We've been due a BFP on this thread and I couldn't be happier for you, especially when you've been waiting almost 2 years Shock Grin what test did you use, frer?

RosettaR · 18/12/2019 20:04

@Mrs71 please don't worry about the drinks, I'm sure so many women drink before they know they are pregnant. My cousin for example who also struggled with ttc got pregnant the month she went on holiday, they also weren't expecting it and she had spent most of the holiday getting drunk. And her baby is lovely. I don't know much about night nurse but as you won't have a placenta yet it's unlikely anything reached the baby.

I'm sure I will be exactly the same if I do manage to get pregnant though, so I know not worrying is easier said than done.

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 20:39

Here's the test! X

What a pair of lines!! Well done xxx

Mrs71 · 18/12/2019 20:42

@KatBeCool no symptoms at all! I don't even have sore boobs that's why I feel worried.

@starkid thank you so much and yes I used a frer.

@RosettaR yeah I feel so worried. Maybe the acupuncture did help? I need to try get hold of my endocrinologist tomorrow see if she wants to sort my medication out the annoying thing is I had a private appointment with her yesterday and she was happy with TSH etc. I didn't do a test before I went because I was like what is even the point. It's going to be negative.
