@KatBeCool @FlapJackered @Broodyaf @bunhead34 @RosettaR @MotherOfShihTzus @starkid @Lina365

I thought I'd start a new thread as the other one is full. Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

@FlapJackered
Ul only take the Orgalutran and Ovitrelle after ur scans. orgalutran stips u ovulating and Ovitrelle is ur trigger.

I'm only on Gonal F atm - after my scans I will be on Cetrotide (similar to Orgalutran) and I will either trigger off Buserelin or Ovitrelle (depending if I am OHSS or not)

My cheapest medication quote was Fertility2u but also try ASDA as they are non-profit for IVF meds

FlapJackered · 31/10/2019 15:17

@Broodyaf
Ah ok, Thanks I will get a quote from both too, they said I could have them sent directly from the pharmacy in Brno so it will be good to check which is cheaper.
I wonder why they prescribed me Clostilbegyt and wonder what it is? You're on Min stim aren't you?

Broodyaf · 31/10/2019 15:29

@FlapJackered yes, do shop about - the different in pricing is unbelievable!!

No I am regular IVF - well I think I am?! They didn't say I was min stim...

FlapJackered · 31/10/2019 15:57

@Broodyaf ah ok, I am on minimal stimulation so maybe that is why I have the other one!
Thanks for all the advice! It is all a bit overwhelming!
When do you fly out there?

Broodyaf · 31/10/2019 21:05

@FlapJackered I fly out next Friday, EC sat or sunday! It's all haopening now 🙏

KatBeCool · 01/11/2019 03:22

@Broodyaf that's happening so fast for you!

@rebecca121 find another specialist. If your TSH is undetectable, that's not good, regardless of your T3 and T4, those just mean that not more is wrong.

So I'm stuck in a hotel, with my Gonal F leftovers on ice 😂 and opks ready to be peed on. Hoping that skipping IUI this cycle and doing it all natural will actually be our miracle.

MrsChicken89 · 01/11/2019 10:44

I had my first appointment with the fertility clinic yesterday. They are only willing to do my 1&21 day bloods & a pelvic scan.
They wont refer me for a hsg/hycosy until my weight comes down a bit & IVF when I reach a healthy weight.

rebecca121 · 01/11/2019 20:30

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies! Although its not great that we are all struggling with our fertility, its good to have people to talk to, as all of my friends either have babies or are pregnant. I've had quite a hard week. As part of the ivf criteria I had to get a second MMR jab (I appear to only have had one as a child). It wasnt until I was at the appointment that I found out I wouldnt be able to TTC this month. I got really upset as its one of the last months before IVF (and well I still live in hope). The nurse wasn't very understanding which didnt help either. It just felt like another unexpected blow.

@Mrs71 - sorry to hear you've been having a tough time. Sounds like we have the same concerns with our TSH levels. I've booked to go private on the at the end of November. Let me know how your appointment goes.

@KatBeCool - yea you're right. The more I'm reading about it the more I think its linked to my infertility. Its just frustrating how dismissive the endocrinologist was!

PineappleC · 02/11/2019 12:21

Welcone to all the new joiners 😊

@liveinhope100 sorry to hear about the SA but if it's an infection, hopefully they can do something about it quickly!?

@Broodyaf sounds like things are moving quickly for you, exciting! 😊

CD5 for me now. Got our first appt referral form but we need to get hiv and hepatitis tests done first. I read that these have to be done max 3 months before egg transfers, so taking it as a good sign that they've asked us to do them! We're going on Monday 😊

RosettaR · 03/11/2019 07:33

@PineappleC yes the three month thing is actually a pain with those tests. Particularly as my clinic wants me to get them at the gp and it takes ages to get an appointment and then the results! But hopefully it is a sign they will move quickly for you.

@rebecca121 sorry you have to take a month off. I know what you mean about still having hope. Try and enjoy being able to think about it a bit less.

@MrsChicken89 I'm sorry they are not willing to do more for you now. All this waiting is not easy.

I have af starting today and I still can't believe how much it hurts. I'd hoped maybe one of the new things I'm doing (diet, acupuncture, thyroid medication, vitamin d, co q10) might make a difference. I just feel so sad that it looks more certain every month that I'll never get pregnant naturally.

PineappleC · 03/11/2019 16:48

@RosettaR oh gosh that sounds like a pain! We have to go to the hospital with no appt whenever we're free, so hoping the wait tomorrow is not ridiculous. It feels like it's all been a bit too "straightforward" so far though, so I'm a bit nervous to think it's as simple as they've made out (the wait, not the ivf itself which I'm sure is anything but simple!). Sorry to hear AF arrived for you xx

Mrs71 · 05/11/2019 18:32

I had my appointment with the private Endocrinologist today it went really well and I'm feeling positive. I've been feeling really down lately and it's picked me back up. The GP did a blood test for me last week so I could have most recent bloods for my appt today. From 0.02 6 weeks ago my TSH is now 0.48 so it's a good sign. It's come back into normal range. I'm taking 50mg propyourlthcil every other day now so it don't go too far the other way! I'm feeling positive 🤞🤞

Mrs71 · 05/11/2019 18:35

@rebecca121 hope your appointment goes well. This endocrinologist was very understanding with me and I felt confident she knew what she was talking about the NHS one even though she originally prescribed the medication she didn't want to see me again till December 20th which by then my TSH levels could of gone too far the other way! She said I need blood test every 4 weeks to keep it under control.

PineappleC · 05/11/2019 19:12

@Mrs71 that's great news about your tsh!

So I so think our situation was, as expected, to good to be true. Apparently the hiv/hep tests take 2-3weeks, then we get a referral for an "eligibility" appt (whatever the hell that is), then we get referred. Soooo many hoops to jump through!!!

starkid · 05/11/2019 19:41

@Mrs71 - great to hear things are moving in a positive direction!! :D

I'm in the fertile week now and we're giving it our all this cycle. Fingers crossed the post-HSG tubal flush does its magic like it has for others (doubt it, but hey why not hope!) :)

Lina365 · 06/11/2019 05:29

@Mrs71 Great news about your TSH Smile

@PineappleC I know what you mean about all the hoops to jump through... Sometimes I think that it's partly because health care professionals know that a lot of people conceive while waiting and queueing for the next step. A doctor told me some encouraging numbers about people who've been trying for a year, apparently a big percentage of them conceives within the second year. So it makes sense that they don't rush things. But I'm sure there are other and more important reasons, too!

Mrs71 · 06/11/2019 16:41

Thank you ladies. @starkid also in my fertile week cd13 for me today. I'm feeling a lot more positive now my thyroid is under control!

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/11/2019 16:53

Hi guys. I'm new here. Ttc from 8 months. Joined this thread to pacify myself from this 2ww. Right now I'm 10 dpo. 4 days to go for AF to arrive. I'm having mild cramps since 2 days. Very tired and dizzy but no cm today. Is it okay to be dry?

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/11/2019 16:55

It's our first baby planning😊

FlapJackered · 06/11/2019 18:35

Welcome @PrettyGirl5545 , I think it is fairly normal to be dry in tww, everyone is different unfortunately!

@Mrs71 that's great you have the thyroid sorted now! Hopefully that will make the difference for you and next cycle will be the one! 🤞🏻

Good luck @starkid ! I am hoping the same with this cycle after my laparoscopy and dye and the cyst removed! Fingers crossed for us. I have told DH if he gets me pregnant in the next two cycles it will be a £4000 sperm! As if we get pregnant we will save that much on ivf!

@KatBeCool how are you doing lovely? I hope you're ok.

@PineappleC sorry to hear it's taking longer than expected, i swear we are all going to be the most patient parents when it happens, we have had great practice!

We have decided to go with ABC clinic in this country instead of going abroad, it is a bit more money but I think for us will be worth it. It feels so good to have made a decision and to have it sorted now though!

KatBeCool · 06/11/2019 19:07

@FlapJackered I'm not ok. Today is cd13 and not even a hint of a positive opk. I had a bit of ewcm on cd10-11 but it's now gone. This cycle I couldn't do any of the things I did last month to help my lining because I was stuck at the work meetings and a hotel and stuff all day long for a week straight. No gym, no milkshakes, no yoga. DH is having a surgery tomorrow. The plan was that since today is cd13, I would've already gotten a positive opk. With his surgery I doubt he'd be interested it dtd.
I'm so excited you've made plans for IVF. When are you going?

@starkid fingers crossed for your freshly washed tubes!

@Mrs71 that's so great that your TSH is in a much better range now. It'll be perfect in no time.

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/11/2019 19:16

@FlalJackered Thank you so much. Yeah unfortunately..

KatBeCool · 07/11/2019 20:14

Somehow got positive opk just before bed last night, that was truly a surge as just 6-7 prior it was super faint. But I'm in the hospital with my poor DH after his surgery, and he's not feeling well at all. I have no idea how we're going to DTD tonight.

@Broodyaf how is ivf process going for you?

Maisy24 · 07/11/2019 21:13

@KatBeCool hope DH surgery all went well, sorry to hear that the timing hasn't fell so great, with ovulation. Fingers crossed he feels a bit better, or you could maybe do tomorrow morning.

I've been doing all your tips this month to help with lining. Hoping it will help.

Xxx

FlapJackered · 07/11/2019 21:43

@KatBeCool I am so sorry it's not been an easy month so far. It is rubbish when it feels like everything is against you.
I hope your DH is ok?
I know how hard it is to accept missing a cycle, the fact that we missed the last one has been on my mind since, even though I was in no state to DTD.
We have got our consultation with the clinic at the end of this month then hopefully get started in January!
