@FlapJackered very exciting that you have your appointment, it will be here before you know it ❤️

Broodyaf · 08/11/2019 08:34

Hey @KatBeCool

It was going well until I started to ovulate and lost a couple of my biggest eggs. The annoying part was I pointed this out to them! Anyway, I still have plenty of eggs left so I have to keep growing them 🙏
Flying over to Reprofit today!

KatBeCool · 08/11/2019 23:51

@Broodyaf good luck! Didn't they give you medication to prevent ovulation.

@FlapJackered it was supposed to be a simple 20-minute surgery. But the anesthesia and the pain medicine didn't agree with him and it just turned to hell. We made it home thankfully, he's much better today. But of course the antibiotics he has to take kill the sperm, still about to do it tonight, hopefully there's still something left.

ValidUser · 09/11/2019 13:54

Hello everyone! Just saw this thread. I recognise loads of people.

29, cycle ?18. On gonal f, cetrotide, ovitrelle and aspirin. Surgery last March. I had 3 chemical pregnancies. Just found out I probably have antiphospholipid syndrome.

About 4dpo here. I start innohep and progesterone if I get a BFP.

How are you all?

ValidUser · 09/11/2019 13:56

(Plus, down to one tube. Ivf soon if I don't get pregnant.)

starkid · 09/11/2019 14:31

@ValidUser - hi, welcome to the thread! sorry to hear you're still having problems ttc too xx

Am CD15 with no positive opk yet, can't remember the last cycle I got a good proper positive actually which is a bit concerning... they haven't got hold of me with results from progesterone test yet though so who knows what's going on. tested 4 times yesterday and will again today!

KatBeCool · 09/11/2019 15:38

@ValidUser welcome. That's a long list of medications. Why are they giving you Centrotide? Do you ovulate too soon on your own? Cycle 18... It's about the same for me, I stopped counting at this point.

@starkid hopefully you'll get your positive opk soon.

ValidUser · 09/11/2019 17:18

@KatBeCool the cetrotide is so we can time ovulation for when DH is around/time sex accurately (he's working away). We're making sure we get at least one (preferably 2-3) egg on the side with a tube each month. We use ovitrelle to trigger ovulation, obvs.

Then, we're trying to make it stick (and stop me from being at risk of stroke) with aspirin. My progesterone is fine, but just doing as much as we can.

ValidUser · 09/11/2019 17:18

How are you doing?

And hi again @starkid!

KatBeCool · 09/11/2019 17:37

@ValidUser at this point I had three failed IUIs. Been on letrozole, Gonal F, and ovidrel and progesterone. Skipping this month as I was away from home when fertile phase started so couldn't do any ultrasound and then DH had a surgery two days ago so dtd was rough. But still hoping it somehow worked.

Maisy24 · 09/11/2019 18:45

@ValidUser hello, why are you taking aspirin? Is that for the lining? I might start taking that as I'm worried it's my lining that's the problem as I have very very light periods. Can I ask how often you take it and what mg?

ValidUser · 09/11/2019 21:20

@KatBeCool, I've had cycles where only the right gave us an egg and I still convinced myself that I was definitely pregnant.

@Maisy24 I have antiphospholipid syndrome and my blood clots too easily. If you don't need aspirin, apparently it can make embryos less likely to take. Main way to check out the lining is day 21 progesterone (in a 28 day cycle) or ultrasound (not a gynaecologist, but I'm a doctor who spends lots of time at her gynaecologist!).

Maisy24 · 10/11/2019 07:28

@ValidUser ah thanks for the advice! I better not take it as my 21 day blood test progesterone was perfect apparently, I also had a pelvic scan and I specifically asked about lining and he said it was fine. Although the scan was at CD 9 so I'm not sure how he would know if the lining was fine at that point. I might push for another scan but in my lutual phase.

You sound like you have a good plan in place now to keep focused on so got everything crossed you see your BFP soon xxxxx

ValidUser · 10/11/2019 15:37

@Maisy24 that all sounds positive!

I'm going to start testing tonight (6 days after trigger shot). Not because I expect a line, but because I like to test the trigger out so I can believe a line if I see one. Plus, it keeps me busy during the two week wait.

Waste of money, I know, but there are worse addictions out there!

FlapJackered · 10/11/2019 16:52

Hi @ValidUser , great to hear from you! Although not great to see there hasn't been a bfp yet. What is antiphospholipid syndrome? Is it something they can treat?
How are you feeling about it all?
I am heading for IVF in Jan as we have discovered my DH has high antisperm antibodies so it is seriously unlikely to happen naturally. I am still hoping for a miracle in the next 2 months though!!

@KatBeCool well done for managing to Dtd! I am very impressed! I think we are all so good at making it work whatever the circumstances now! 😂

ValidUser · 10/11/2019 17:07

@FlapJackered it's a clotting disorder. Makes me prone to clots/strokes/heart attacks and makes pregnancy more complicated. Anticoagulants do seem to manage most of it, but that depends on my remaining tube functioning properly too!

Will likely be joining you on the ivf train.

Mrs71 · 11/11/2019 17:22

@ValidUser welcome I also recognise your username! 👋🏼

@FlapJackered you never know some people get BFP's right before they're about to start ivf. How exciting January isn't far at all.

Cd19 for me this is the first month I've been ttc with my thyroid levels normal! I'm so hoping this is my month at the same time I keep thinking I'll never get a BFP through natural conception! I can't even imagine having a positive test I've never even had a hint of a line. We're quite similar on cycle days some of us.

starkid · 11/11/2019 18:00

@Mrs71 - yes similar CD's, am CD17 myself :)
still no positive opk, think i either missed it or didnt ovulate... will keep testing/dtd til wednesday i think

Maisy24 · 11/11/2019 18:14

Hi everyone

@starkid @Mrs71 I'm on cd 20 today , first month using the clear blue advanced and i got three flashing smileys and then a static yesterday, still no temp rise so hoping it rises tomorrow. Chart attached , praying we've done enough this cycle!

@ValidUser at least you know what the problem is so you can treat it and improve your chances!

@FlapJackered I've got everything crossed you get a BFP before you start! Keep trying as you never know.

@KatBeCool very impressive you managed to dtd still, that's some good going, hopefully it will be worth it.

Looks like we will all be due AF at similar times fingers crossed at least one of us gets a BFP

FlapJackered · 11/11/2019 21:25

@Mrs71 good luck!! Have you ovulated yet?

@ValidUser that doesn't sound good, but good they know about it and can treat it. When did you start on the anticoagulants?

Thanks @Maisy24 🤞🏻
There is something very satisfying about the static smiley!!

Only cd9 for me so I am a bit behind the rest of you.

Mrs71 · 11/11/2019 21:48

@FlapJackered thank you! I don't know because I haven't been using my clear blue fertility monitor this month. I did get ewcm sort of around cd 11 so I've been dtd quite a lot over the last week 💪 😂

@Maisy24 & @starkid how long are your cycles?

@starkid it's quite easy to miss that surge thought isn't it! I can't keep up sometimes with the clear blue fertility monitor you just do one stick in the morning which I find easier. Only downside is the sticks can get expensive.

Maisy24 · 12/11/2019 00:10

@Mrs71 mine have been anywhere from 28 days to the longest at 48 days. But the last 4 have been 28-34 so I'm happy about that.

What about you?

Xxx

starkid · 12/11/2019 06:48

@Mrs71 - mine are generally 26-28 days long these days xx

Maisy24 · 12/11/2019 10:46

@KatBeCool hi I have ovulated yesterday and been doing the things you said would help with lining. I've forgot what I need to do post ovulation, should I still be going to the gym? Do I need to cut down on vitamin E now?

Xxxx
