@KatBeCool wow, I'm definitely going to try all that. Thanks so much for passing on the advice. I'm on CD 5 so I will do the vitamin E definitely and try and move more, I sit at a desk all day so i definitely don't move much.

@SeahorseWilderness thanks for passing on your advice also. I spot a lot so maybe I need to do B6 also.

I'm currently taking quite a few different things so hoping I'm not over doing it with all the vitamins xxx

SeahorseWilderness · 27/10/2019 21:53

Hope it helps, cramping quite bad tonight though, at least one consolation for AF bring here, I’m currently drinking a very nice glass of mulled wine! 🍷 Roll on cycle 17

Maisy24 · 27/10/2019 23:24

@SeahorseWilderness haha good on you! I do agree the only silver lining to getting AF is we can do what we like for a few days worry free! Enjoy xxx

liveinhope100 · 27/10/2019 23:47

Hi ladies would you mind if I join? I’m a bit late but after ttc for almost 2 years I could really do with talking to people that understand and hopefully offer support to others.

I’ve got PCOS and have been on Clomid for 4 months...I’ve got 2 months left then I think the next stage will be IVF.

Think I’m going to be in this for the long haul so hoping this group will help keep me going during those hard times X

Maisy24 · 27/10/2019 23:53

@liveinhope100 of course you can. Sorry to hear it's been a long journey, hopefully it will happen in the next few months and you won't have to go through ivf. Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

liveinhope100 · 28/10/2019 11:32

Thanks @Maisy24. I'm definitely hoping I don't have to go through IVF especially as my OH doesn't feel ready for that but I only two months left on Clomid so the pressure is on!

I need to read all the old posts so I don't ask people the same questions but how long have you been ttc and are you on any treatment?

Broodyaf · 28/10/2019 19:25

Hey @liveinhope100
Welcome!
We've been TTC 2 years next week and we're also starting IVF next week!

RosettaR · 28/10/2019 19:59

Hi @liveinhope100 and welcome. I'm sorry you've had some unsuccessful clomid months. I think a lot of us are here for the long haul to be honest, including me, so it's nice to jave company :-). I am ttc only a little over 1 year, have been told my ovarian reserve is low though so I am feeling the time pressure. Likely to go for ivf fairly soon.

Good luck @Broodyaf. That's so exciting! Do let us know how you find it, and what the outcome is. You are our trailblazer!

@SeahorseWilderness thanks for the tip, I am another one with a short luteal phase, only 12-13 days. I will look into some B6.

Maisy24 · 28/10/2019 21:37

@liveinhope100 I've been off the pill for around 16 months however only really tracking and trying at the right time since jan/feb and also have had some long cycles and missed months due to DH working away, so trying to stay positive that it will still happen naturally. I've had blood tests and internal pelvic scan and all ok, DH has had SA and all ok there too. So we have no reason as to why it hasn't happened yet.

I'm giving it until after Christmas then I will be back to the doctors to try and get referred.

Fingers crossed this is our month girls.

Lina365 · 29/10/2019 05:34

@liveinhope100 Welcome!

@FlapJackered Outrageous that you have to wait despite all the evidence!

@KatBeCool Sorry to hear about AF. I hope you'll get all the same good things in your next try, though. Thanks for all the tips on how to look after yourself and improve the lining etc.

I just wanted to tell anyone who's worried about the HSSG that for me it sounded much scarier than it was. The pain was like period pain but I did what girls here told me and breathed calmly (or tried) and focused on my partner who kept holding my hand or just kept his hand on my shoulder. The staff was great, too, and they kept telling me what's going in next. If they didn't, I asked them!

Lina365 · 29/10/2019 05:42

Ps. Tubes are open and uterus clear and beautiful as they said! We're trying a few IUIs now. I'm feeling good about this!

liveinhope100 · 29/10/2019 09:45

@Broodyaf Thank you! 2 years as well...it's exhausting isn't it! How exciting that you are starting IVF though, is it through the NHS and did you have to wait long?

RosettaR Hi and thanks for the welcome message. Sorry to hear about low ovarian reserve. It's awful having that added pressure. I don't know too much about it but hopefully you are still in with a good chance of conceiving naturally. How long do you think you will wait until IVF?

@Maisy24 Fingers crossed it will happen for you naturally, as from all your tests it seems like there are no issues so definitely stay positive!

Thanks :) @Lina365 and good news about your tubes and uterus! So are you just about to start IUI? I'd been keen to hear about that as I think this might be the next stage for me.

It's a big day for me today. After years I finally convinced OH to get checked out an we get the results later on today. If he has issues my Gynae said Clomid will be pointless and it would be straight to IVF which OH won't do. Fingers crossed there are no issues..

Broodyaf · 29/10/2019 15:54

Aaaaaaaah! AF arrived this morning very early! I wasn't expecting her til this weekend - which means our IVF journey starts tomoro!!! 🙏😱❤️

RosettaR · 29/10/2019 21:12

@Broodyaf that's so exciting! Will you be starting on the down regulation drugs first?

@liveinhope100 I have a scan next week, because at my last scan they thought there might be a polyp, so they wanted to have another look after my period. If it's still there I will need a minor operation. If it's not I might start the first step just before Christmas, so I'd be on the down regulation drugs over Christmas.

That's great your husband has agreed to be tested. Fingers crossed all is well.

Broodyaf · 30/10/2019 07:34

Hey @RosettaR
No down reg - short protocol so straight into stimming today. Using Gonal F x

RosettaR · 30/10/2019 11:32

@Broodyaf wow you are moving even faster than I thought! I will be on the lomg protocol when we eventually get there.

Broodyaf · 30/10/2019 12:14

@RosettaR is that because u have irregular periods?
I started my injections today, I have a scan on Monday and Thursday, fly over to Czech Republic on Friday and hopefully have EC on sat (could be anything up to Monday) and transfer 5 days later, all going well!
So quick!! ❤️

liveinhope100 · 30/10/2019 13:40

Hi all not sure how to feel right now...my OH got his SA results back and all was fine which is great news BUT there are signs of an infection (antibodies, high acidity and viscity or something). Has anyone heard or know anyone that has a bacterial infection when testing semen? He is going back for another test but apparently it could be the main reason I haven’t getting pregnant. I think once it’s confirmed it can be treated with anti biotics so that’s one good thing

Went for a scan today and had one very large follicle so I’m doing trigger shot today. My Gynae is worried it will turn into a cyst so now I have to take a break for a month. Guess I should start focusing on next year :(

Hope everyone is doing well today x

starkid · 30/10/2019 14:33

@liveinhope100 - they thought they saw something similar in my DH's first test a few months ago, so they did another one Monday. Not aware of him having any kind of illness at the time though.

Just got to wait for the hospital/consultant to get back to us with the results for that, my progesterone day 21 blood test and my HSG, fingers crossed won't be a long wait.

@Broodyaf - good luck with IVF!

It's fertility week on BBC Radio 2, and not sure if it's made me feel worse listening to everyones stories - I think it has, so will be skipping that tomorrow lunchtime!

rebecca121 · 30/10/2019 16:29

Hi Ladies, hope its ok to join. We've been TTC'n for two years now with no success. We are due to start IVF in January but my TSH levels have been flagged as a concern. They are currently undetectable 0.01 but the endocrinologist didnt want to put me on medication as my T3 and T4 is within normal range, I dont have any other symptoms and he said the medication isnt favourable with trying to conceive. I do have long cycles (35-40 days). I am considering going private. Has anyone else had similar issues?

RosettaR · 30/10/2019 17:43

@Broodyaf it was just a routine scan they did at the fertility clinic when we signed the consent forms for ivf. They said it could be just an unevenness in the lining or a polyp, and I needed another scan after my next period. Hopefully it will have disappeared. If it's still there I'd be looking at a camera test plus minor operation to remove it, probably similar to removing a cyst.

@liveinhope100 I'm sorry to hear about the cyst, that must be so disappointing. Try to enjoy taking a month off and doing some of the things you can't do while ttc.

@starkid I will try to avoid radio 2, thanks for the heads-up!

@rebecca121 welcome. I don't have any experience with low tsh, mine was the other way. Hopefully someone else will know something.

Mrs71 · 30/10/2019 20:26

Hi ladies. I've been having a break for while as I've felt so down about the whole thing but I'm feeling more positive now AF has come and gone! Wow so much to catch up on the thread it's been busy.

@liveinhope100 welcome to the thread 👋🏼

@Broodyaf Best of luck! I really hope you get your BFP we need one on this thread.

@KatBeCool and @starkid sorry AF arrived for you guys too. This AF got me down in the dumps and I felt so hopeless. It doesn't seem to get any easier.

@rebecca121 my TSH levels are 0.02 similar to you. Usually everyone else's are the other way. My NHS endocrinologist was rubbish! I now have an appointment booked in with a private endocrinologist who has been recommended to me next Tuesday.

FlapJackered · 31/10/2019 12:00

@Broodyaf ahh! I am so excited for you! How are you finding the drugs so far?
I have just had an email through from them with my protocol 😬 suddenly feeling very real!
They have told me I will need to have a scan done during stimulation, do you know if it's possible to get this done on the nhs or did you book one privately?
Also did you go for any of the extras like the Geri machine (time-lapse embryo monitoring?)

@liveinhope100 welcome! sorry to hear about your DH's result. It sounds like it could be quite easily fixed though if it is an infection? Fingers crossed for you.

@rebecca121 welcome! I have the opposite thyroid problem, but it sounds like your endocrinologist knows what he is talking about.

@Mrs71 welcome back. Sorry you have been having a rough time of it. X

I have had all the information through from the ivf clinic which is exciting but also bloody terrifying! Wish I hadn't read the consent forms with bleeding from organs such as liver, bladder etc and the very small chance my uterus and ovaries will need to be removed! 😳
I know they need to say these things so I am just going to try and forget I ever read it! 🙈

Broodyaf · 31/10/2019 12:18

@FlapJackered did u go with abc or Reprofit in the end up? I can't remember if u said

Yeah i started the injections yday. they're grand. A wee bit queazy after this mornings but nothing to complain abt

No you have to book ur scans privately. And u will prob need 2
CD 7/8 and CD9/10

What is ur protocol? And when are u starting? Are u short or long protocol?

FlapJackered · 31/10/2019 12:28

@Broodyaf
We are going with Reprofit...well 90% sure and not starting until January but he has already sent through the protocol.
It says Clostilbegyt 3 x a day from day 2-6 and Gonal 100IU from 2-8.
Is yours similar?
They are also prescribing Orgalutran and Ovitrelle but haven't put them on the plan.
He asked if I want the meds sent from them or a prescription to buy in the Uk, I am guessing they will be cheaper from the Czech Republic though.
It's weird as we haven't spoken to anyone yet. Did you have a call with the doctor at any point?
