That's so unfair! I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. We are TTC 2years also, but never a sniff of a positive ... yet I am unexplained 🙄

Yeah we're going to hold off on booking flights and accommodation until AF shows... this will be my 1st ever period that I'll be so excited to see 😂😂

FlapJackered · 24/10/2019 15:53

@Broodyaf
😂 I bet! Good luck with it, I will keep everything crossed for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Broodyaf · 24/10/2019 15:57

@FlapJackered thank you - and same for you... go and fill in the online questionnaire for Reprofit anyway - they will get back to you tomoro and ur under no obligation to go with them ❤️

starkid · 24/10/2019 16:12

Redundancies at my job announced today with my role being one of them. And even if I'm not made redundant, the people who would be made redundant would make me not want to work here anymore, but feel I really can't leave or will lose the maternity benefits of having worked somewhere more than a year. So yeah, shit day so far!

KatBeCool · 24/10/2019 16:24

I'm about ready to start a pity party for myself. I don't know why I thought testing at 9dpo was a good idea, bfn of course. I so many women get their bfps so early on, why couldn't it be me. On top of that I managed to get a nasty flu and convinced myself that it ruined everything. And if this cycle is a fail, I might be skipping next month for IUI. I have to go out of town right when I'd need to get my initial scans done and DH is having a surgery a week after. I just can't win.

Maisy24 · 24/10/2019 16:48

@KatBeCool oh no, try not to stress. 9dpo is very early. I'm sure it's only 50% that get a positive at 9dpo and that's with an FRER. Did you use an FRER? I've got everything crossed for you!

RosettaR · 24/10/2019 18:01

@KatBeCool I'm sorry about the bfn. It is very early though. Don't stress about the flu, I was worried about this too thinking about having ivf over winter, but the general consensus seems to be that it doesn't make much difference. Therr are plenty of stories out there of women whp have had bfps after flu / gastroenteritis etc.

@starkid I'm so sorry about the redundancies that is a really rubbish thing to happen.

starkid · 25/10/2019 11:58

@RosettaR - thank you, it really is the worst.
@KatBeCool - fingers crossed you'll get a bfp in a couple of days time instead! have often seen people get a negative one day, then a positive the day after!

Had some spotting earlier, and am only cd25 today. Are cycles of 25/26 days considered particularly short/cause for concern?

Broodyaf · 25/10/2019 12:55

Hey @starkid
My cycles are 25/26 days longs and are considered normal
Less than 21days is considered short

starkid · 25/10/2019 13:06

@Broodyaf oh good at least that's something

Maisy24 · 25/10/2019 16:11

@starkid no that is perfectly normal, I wish mine were all this length as it means you get more chances. Smile

KatBeCool · 25/10/2019 18:42

AF is here. I don't get it. I barely made it to 10 dpo, had a bit of spotting yesterday, got excited, and woke to her ugly ass. It shouldn't even happen this soon since I'm on progesterone. I'm just gutted. My lining was great, follicle count was great, DH sperm count was great, everything was great. And on top of that this flu is just horrific. I'm not even going for Beta on Monday, what's the point.

starkid · 25/10/2019 19:20

@KatBeCool - oh I'm really sorry to hear this :( especially when everything was going so well xx don't have much advice I'm afraid except look after yourself the next few days

Maisy24 · 25/10/2019 22:34

@KatBeCool really sorry to hear this, I know there's nothing to say to make you feel better so just sending love and you'll get through this xxx

starkid · 26/10/2019 09:37

I'm out today as well, so was a 25 day cycle, my shortest yet. DH's next sperm test is Monday so should soon be getting the various test results back all together and see what's next. Onwards to cycle 17!

PineappleC · 26/10/2019 12:03

Thank you all so much for your kind words, it's really good to be able to talk to ppl who understand 😊

@KatBeCool and @starkid sorry you're out this month, it doesn't get any easier I know xx

@starkid my cycles are normally 25-26 days too. It's absolutely fine. As broody says, anything over 21 days is fine. My only issue previously about this was a short luteal phase (I ovulate around day 13-14 and my cycles were more like 23-24 days a while back) but I now take a high dose B vitamin and that's extended it nicely 😊xx

starkid · 26/10/2019 12:07

@PineappleC - my luteal phase is usually 11 days with spotting the day before, not got a clue if/when I ovulated this month though. Just been taking pregnacare liquid the last few months, but might take your advice on trying to lengthen it (will wait to hear from consultant next first though, as maybe the last blood test will reveal something...) Thanks for the advice :)

PineappleC · 26/10/2019 12:37

@starkid no problem 😊 I take this one from amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Vitamin-Complex-Tablets-Immunity-Fatigue/dp/B07215813K?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 and also coq10. It seems to have helped my luteal phase go from around 10 days to more like 12. But yes definitely a good idea to talk through with a consultant too!!

FlapJackered · 27/10/2019 11:04

@KatBeCool I am so sorry, it's not fair. Do you have an appointment booked with your consultant to talk things through, perhaps there is a different approach they could try?
Take care of yourself. X

@starkid sorry to hear you are out too. Hopefully the tests will give you an idea of what is going on. X

KatBeCool · 27/10/2019 13:25

@FlapJackered I only told them that I'm going to skip this month. My guess is they will increase my progesterone dose because I shouldn't be getting AF at only 11 dpo. I keep thinking back when I had my day 21 progesterone test and it was super low, assumption is that I wasn't ovulating but I might not actually be producing progesterone.

@starkid I'm sorry AF showed up, we're almost cycle twins yet again.

So for the past year my AF was super light, except now. It used to be barely two days s switching from light to spotting to almost nothing throughout the entire time, but somehow it'd still cramp. I know I finally managed to achieve thick lining last cycle, and AF is now on third day and is anything but light, and not a single cramp. I'm definitely going to be visiting the gym, doing yoga poses, and taking extra vitamin E, looks like at least that worked.

Maisy24 · 27/10/2019 13:41

@KatBeCool that sounds positive that you have managed to get a thicker lining. since coming off my pill my period is the exact same, it starts with spotting, then one day of bleeding (with bad cramps) and then back to spotting, I am worrying that my lining isn't thick enough and that's why I'm not getting pregnant , can I ask how did you managed to get a a longer bleed? I've been acupuncture for 5 months and that didn't change anything. Xxx

KatBeCool · 27/10/2019 14:28

@maisy24 gym every other day until days 3-11, yoga (look up fertility poses) every few hours, never sit for more than an hour just get up and move around, and 540mg vitamin E daily until ovulation and 180mg after. It absolutely worked. I also took myo inositol last month but I think that only helped my left ovary actually do something unlike before.

SeahorseWilderness · 27/10/2019 15:02

Hi ladies, I’m spotting today but for the first time in 16 months it’s 12 DPO rather than 9 or 10, I’ve started taking vitamin B6 at 50mg so I’m really hoping that although I’m not pregnant this month that the B6 will help my cycles and 🤞 give me a chance... just wanted to pass on the info in case it helps as I’ve seen a few posts mention spotting xx

starkid · 27/10/2019 15:52

@SeahorseWilderness - that sounds like a positive difference! Maybe there's something to the extra B vitamins...
