Hi All,

So after the very disappointing arrival of AF this morning I am now on CD1.

I'm 34 (35 next month) and TTC #1. I have PCOS and have been referred to FC which I will be attending soon. However, I really want to fall naturally before I have to go through all of the tests etc.

Last month we tried SMEP (however we didn't manage to follow it to the letter). This month we will be doing it again (properly).

Due to O CD18 of a 32 day cycle and AF due 13th October. I won't be testing before then as I've tested early every month with FRER and the cost and disappointment of seeing repeated BFNs is not worth it.

If anyone is at the beginning of their cycle and wants some company over the next few weeks then feel free to join! Wishing everyone the best of luck x

@Happythoughts123 it is the lowest it has been all month and I am devastated. Need to have a different tactic next month I think, but how do you make sure you are giving yourself the best chance without OPKs and temping?!!

Izzie94 · 16/10/2019 10:06

@SMiles14 hope you're OK hun ❤️ not out until AF shows but each month gets a bit harder doesn't it 😪 I don't temp as I wake up 1 or 2 times in the night, I'm a terribly light sleeper. Haven't used OPKs either because I get SO obsessed haha, been trying to go by my cm / twinges. Although me and dp often dtd every other day regardless. Depending on how my docs apt goes, we may take a break just until the new year, hopefully it'll allow time for my body to get those hormones back in shape!! X

Sardi28 · 16/10/2019 21:45

@Happythoughts123 thanks for checking in ☺️ hope everyone is doing ok. I'm sorry I've not been on, I just need to not think about it for a bit. I'm on CD 8 now, so the fun begins again soon 🙄🙄

SMiles14 · 17/10/2019 08:10

@Izzie94 thanks lovely, af has arrived this morning so I'm definitely out. I'm also thinking I need to be more relaxed this cycle, I just get so obsessive especially in the 2ww. I still have some cb digits left so will use them this month but not sure I will temp... we will see.

Hey girls, happy Friday 💜

Just wanted to update you - doctors are not concerned about my light periods, it's only beeen the last few which have got lighter. She was really lovely and said as long as I'm regular, and having some type of bleeding she can't see any problems (I beg to differ but it has reassured me) 😂 she said sometimes we get so consumed on ttc that it can affect our cycles, even just subconsciously. I think that's so true!! The last few months I've been more obsessed so would make sense.

I've decided for me, that I'm going to take a break ttc for the rest of the year. DP and I are going to enjoy these few months being relaxed, I'm going to go back on my pill as I was also advised sometimes the surge of hormones when you do come off the pill can make you most fertile in the month or two after the pill, and would also maybe make sense as dp and I were very chilled in the earlier months, didn't know a thing or two about the dramas of TTC hahhaa!! So I'm hoping I'll have a sudden surge when I come back off around Jan / Feb. I'd love to stay on this thread and boost you all along 🥰 and I really hope not to see any of yous on here after Christmas xx

Happythoughts123 · 19/10/2019 07:24

@Sardi28 totally understand. Wishing you luck ❤️

@SMiles14 so sorry about AF hun. I know what you mean about trying to be more relaxed. It’s so hard not to want to be a control freak about it. Ttc has made me realise how much of a control freak I am in other aspects of my life as I can’t control this and it’s so frustrating.

@Izzie94 glad appointment went well lovely and the doctor isn’t concerned. Hopefully the rest does you good and the hormone spike after the pill will do the trick! ❤️

Yutes · 23/10/2019 14:51

That’s really interesting about what you said about the pill Izzie. I’m wondering whether I should try.

Sorry I’ve been very quiet. But I’m not sure I ovulate. And I’m not sure what to do about it. So I’ll carry on temping. Not sure if AF will arrive this month or not (prior to last month, no AF for several months).

I suppose I need to get on the lose weight wagon but you can’t help but feel a bit bogged down about it

Izzie94 · 23/10/2019 21:30

@Yutes I shall let you know how I get on! 😊 I must say, I'm not enjoying being back on the pill. Definitely makes me realise how it does effect my moods! But willing to try this for now and start again in the NY fresh minded!!

How long have you been ttc? Is there anyway you can book a doctors apt to put your mind at ease? I've heard red Raspberry leaf tea (capsules or teabags) can help with your period, blood circulation etc, but only for the first half of your cycle which I get can be tricky when you don't know!

Winter is not for losing weight is it 🤣

Winter is not for losing weight is it
