CD1 - This is our month!

Hi All,

So after the very disappointing arrival of AF this morning I am now on CD1.

I'm 34 (35 next month) and TTC #1. I have PCOS and have been referred to FC which I will be attending soon. However, I really want to fall naturally before I have to go through all of the tests etc.

Last month we tried SMEP (however we didn't manage to follow it to the letter). This month we will be doing it again (properly).

Due to O CD18 of a 32 day cycle and AF due 13th October. I won't be testing before then as I've tested early every month with FRER and the cost and disappointment of seeing repeated BFNs is not worth it.

If anyone is at the beginning of their cycle and wants some company over the next few weeks then feel free to join! Wishing everyone the best of luck x

Hello, I'm (sadly) joining you all this month, loving the positive energy on here and hoping to be a little more chilled this time around.
I am now CD1, lost track of that # cycle we are on - got pg on cycle 1 in April but turned out to be a mmc which was found at the 12 week scan in July. Been trying since so I guess cycle 4? So not long overall but SO annoying we fell so quickly last time and it didn't stick!

Planning to do SMEP again this month, did it last month for the first time but didn't follow to the letter as our EOD days ran into our every day days iyswim and we couldn't manage to dtd 4 days in a row! Also going to get CB digi ovulation sticks because I much prefer the idea of poas in the morning and not waiting til after work. They are so expensive but I think I will just bite the bullet.
Cycles are around 30 - 33 days at the moment, was pleased that last cycle was a short 30 days so hopefully that means the evening primrose and Shavatari are working.

@SMiles14 welcome! Sorry to hear about your mmc 😥 sending you lots of positive energy. I’m also going to try cb digital sticks this month so fill me in on how you get on.
What are the effects of evening primrose? I bought some but found they made my periods really heavy! Xx

@Happythoughts123 Thank you, it was an awful time but I know it just wasn't meant to be.
Evening primrose is supposed to make your CM better - I have never had a lot of EWCM, if any, and since taking that I have noticed much more. You just take it until Ovulation, not the whole month. Seems to be working for me anyway.

@MrssC92 I know what you mean about long cycles, everything takes ages to come around! My last cycle has been my shortest at 32 days. Would love to get even shorter. I'm cd11 today but time is dragging!

Looks like lots of us are trying smep this cycle! We've just started DTD. I'm going to wait a few more days before starting opk.

@SMiles14 Welcome lovely 🥰 so sorry to hear about the MC. Hopefully this will be your month, sounds like you've geared up ready for it! Never knew about EPO! That's really interesting as I don't always notice cm, so may have to invest 😅

Hey @clolo - definitely think coming off your pill may have messed with your cycle a little bit. I'm now month 6 after stopping my pill and only now have things settled, and finally my skin has settled too as that went crazy for months and I've always had clear skin!! 🙄 I haven't been using OPK's.. Yet... Was trying to keep it as stress free as possible and know my body 🙈 not always easy!

@Izzie94 Thank you, I really hope so!! Yeah I read about EPO on here and thought I would give it a try and it has definitely worked, I never used to get any EWCM, just wet and now I get at least one day of EW. Also taking Shavitari which works similarly to Agnus cactus in making cycles more regular. It is a natural herbal supplement so figure it cant hurt but I stop taking both at O as neither are recommended for pregnancy. From CD1 - CD 18 I take about 6 pills a day haha!!

@Sardi28 haha I'm the same! I think it just feels better to be actively doing something!
I'm busy packing as we move on Thursday (sooo excited now!) Will start OPKs on Wednesday I think which is cd10 but we are already dtd eod just because we have kind of got used to it and to make sure the swimmers are fresh!

CD12 for me tomorrow so going to put my new toy to use! Got the Clearblue Connect OPK today so excited to see a smiley face rather than wondering "is that line dark enough?" On ICs.

CD13 for me, so I'm in my fertile window. Flo predicts ov today, but I'm not so sure. Think it may be later this month 😬 but we've been dtd every other day regardless or little more 😅

Definitely investing in the clearblue digital next month, would be nice to actually pinpoint ov!! And know if it's happening 😬 feeling a lot more relaxed this month.. Until the TWW approaches.. Hahaha. Good luck girls 🍀🤞 x

Cd9 now ladies have been using clear blue since yesterday no luck yet but not stressing. Flo predicts I’ll ovulate Friday night which is great timing 😉

Morning All,

Got my first flashing smiley face on my CB connected this morning 😀 due to OV on Sunday so planned to DTD every day of flashing and static smiley. However, DH has had a full on cold since the weekend which is showing no signs of drying up yet 😫 hoping he's up to it tonight 🤞🏼

How is everyone else getting on? X

I haven’t got a flashing smily yet but still hopeful as only CD 11 and I have no idea when I actually ovulate 🙈. The instructions said I should start testing at CD7 as sometimes my cycles are as short as 23 days. X

@Happythoughts123 I don't know when I ovulate anymore either! It used to be cd20-21 but last month it was cd16! I am so happy to finally be cd 10 and started my cb digitals this morning. Been bding pretty much eod since af (bar one day) so will continue with that now. I'm feeling loads healthier generally this month so hopefully that helps!

Temps suspected I ovulated last Friday but temps have also been unsteady. We’ll see. I might test after two weeks anyway.

This stage of our cycles can be just as stressful as the TWW when our cycles are irregular 😩 just desperate not to miss the surge! Fingers crossed you get a positive OPK soon 🤞🏼 x
