Anyone get a BFP after BFN

I'm approx 9dpo and have been having lots of twinges and pinching on my right side, been very very tired so decided to test today and got a BFN.....

Anyone had this and then gone on to get BFP? Or am I out this month?

Sorry been trying for 9 months and getting restless 🙄

@Trying93 no not "planning" on testing early this month, gonna try and wait until AF is actually late this month.... that's the plan anyway!

I'm not very good at waiting haha!

@Gigi318 im fine this is the easy bit of the cycle, it's the second half il be going crazy lol how are you?

@Cabbiefix it's so hard waiting but im going to try do it from now on. Nothings ever came good of testing early . . well for me anyway

@Trying93 hehehe yes you are so right. I am doing well now as the fun is just beginning. And then I need to distract myself in the TWW 🙊 so this time next week. Gahhh!!

@Trying93 no you're right, nothing good comes from testing early just more anxiety if anything! So this month I'm going to try and not focus too much on the wait

@Gigi318 you've got the right attitude! We relaxed a bit about it this month and just had fun! We started letting ourselves get bogged down with TTC but trying to take on more of your views so thank you!! I'll defo be here durin your TWW too

@Cabbiefix oh absolutely. I'm hoping a relaxed approach, yet still aiming to DTD like rabbits will help 🤣 I don't think we really tried last month, so hopefully we can get somewhere this months. Well, in OH's mind we are not actively trying. He doesn't want calendars and charts and times and dates (🙄 as if that's a thing), and to be honest nor do I. So I'm just keeping a rough idea of CDs etc in my mind and then looking to CM, sec drive, and O pain as a guide. I think we will nail it! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Gigi318 it is hard not to "track" for women though as when you start TTC and you know the signs of ovulation like what CM to look out for and you know when your AF is due so i found even when you're not trying to track i still ended up tracking (if that makes sense!?)

@Cabbiefix oh absolutely! You're so right. And I've been so in tune with my body for years, seeing these signs and then NOT DTD and keeping OH away as a form of contraception 🤣 and now it's like go,go,go! But I won't be using OPKs or planning. Just going with it and we DTD when we DTD, you know? Or, hopefully at least 🙊🙈

I don't plan on testing but I said that last month and ended up testing on 10dpo 🤣🤣🤣 If this month isn't my month I plan on going away so that's the only reason I'd test early lol
I'm 4dpo today!

It's so hard not to think about it though...the whole process is stressful! Us women know when AF is due, when we are ovulating, cm watching etc
And then when it's the 2ww we watch out for symptoms! I'm sure I imagine them sometimes!
Easy for the OH's to tell us not to keep count and put the testing kits away but they aren't the ones going through the physical changes! I know I sometimes pretend to OH that I don't know what day I'm on 🤣

@HoldingOn2Hope oh absolutely, it's crazy to think we could just switch off from it all when it's happening to us everyday! I do the same, just don't talk about it with him. And then he is none the wiser 🤷‍♀️🙊 it’s why I'm on here hehehe. 4dpo (or 5 now?) yay. Not long to wait!!! Where are you thinking of going?

@HoldingOn2Hopei'm the same! like last month i kept thinking i was having early prego symptoms but now i think it was all im my head haha! Its hard when a lot of prego signs are the same as AF signs

I've got family coming down the same weekend AF is dues so think i might test on the Friday (AF is due on the Friday) that way i'll know if i can have a drink or not

Trying not to pin too much on it this month xx

@Cabbiefix I think that's a good idea chick so you can enjoy the weekend either way. And then if still no AF, you can retest when they're gone! And tell me about it, I swear I picked up on everything last month and nope - BFN. But you live and learn 🙈 hopefully this month I will be able to relax!

@Gigi318 Yep 5dpo today! I wish I wasn't keeping count!
I wouldn't mind a long haul maybe Mexico but we've already had a few holidays this year so OH doesn't want a big holiday. I'm thinking Cyprus for a few days :) If this month is defo not my month then I'll book but if here is a possibility I'll have to see how I feel as I'm on progesterone pessaries from the moment I get a bfp.

@Cabbiefix ah tell me about it! I kept imagining sore boobs last month lol! There was no pain there at all though 🤣

@HoldingOn2Hope eek, not long to wait now! Mexico would be great, start of the summer season - or, rather, spring! Hopefully no rain. But yes Cyprus would also be warm. Lovely!!! Eeek I love that either way, you'll have a BFP or get to enjoy some time away. Heaven! CD10 for me today! Starting to get close!

@HoldingOn2Hope I love Mexico! We went there earlier this year. Ended up getting a BFP when I got back home although it didn't work out in the end. We went on a trip there and they took us to a fertility island as part of the trip (we didn't realise that was part of it). Always wonder if it helped lol.

Cyprus is lovely too. Always think a break away does you good. Im slightly jealous would love another holiday abroad

I was doing okay until I found out this morning my consultant who has been amazing is on long term sick!!! It means for any future appt's I'm on a waitlist to see whoever is filling in for him 😭 I feel like having a big cry!
Maybe I should just book that holiday...
6dpo for me today! Not that I'm counting lol

@Trying93 oh wow. That really sounds like it was meant to be. And I'm sorry again that it didn't work out. But do find some comfort in the knowledge that MC comes from something not developing properly with the little bean 💫

@HoldingOn2Hope oh no!!! Don't worry, you may find that the person you have next is even better!!! You never know. Eeek not long now. When will you test? Next Friday, was it?

@Trying93 if I end up in Mexico I'll have to visit the fertility island! Although OH is adamant we can't have another long haul. We've been to Mauritius and Oman in June and went to Canada last month. I just feel better when I'm away from it all!

@Trying93 @Gigi318 I know I'm so upset as he's been an amazing consultant, I was referred to Tommy's but they basically said my consultant has gone above and beyond and they wouldn't offer me any further help. Let's hope I don't need to see him 🙏🏽

@Gigi318 I'm 6dpo so will hold out until next Friday for testing which will make me 14dpo...that's if I don't give in at day 10 🤣🤣🤣

@HoldingOn2Hope yes, I know what you mean. Escapism is fantastic. This is what I'm like when I'm in the bath 🙊🤣 I love to travel, but I don't travel well. I'm like a Victorian woman! Hehehe. Oh fantastic, not too much longer to wait. I hope you can hold on. I'm CD11 now and hopefully getting close to O!
