October bus

Haven't seen an October bus yet so I figured I'd start one as AF showed up today for me.

Age 31
AF due around 5 October

7 October is my birthday so would not be opposed to a bit of a present in the form of a BFP 😄

Not sure yet if I'll do anything special this cycle other than taking follic acid and DTD, contemplating buying Clear Blue OPKs though I'm hoping to stay as relaxed as possible (completely failed at that last cycle and obsessed about everything so hopefully I got that out of my system...)

Off on holiday today and haven't packed any tests. It was a battle but I'm just going to wait till I get back and then AF will be due. 👌🏼

@SSC92 oh u did test early! Try to give it a few more day's 😁

I keep trying to fight off a cold/sore throat as I keep feeling it coming on, it goes away(after a home remedy) then back again! Anyone else have that or maybe it's just the weather 😂

I am finally on cd10, been such a looong 10 days, I hate not being able to do anything! Actually jealous of all you in the 2ww!! Never thought I would say that! Took my first cb advanced this morning and loving that I can just do it and forget about it for the rest of the day.

Im currently CD13 and think I ovulated around CD11 based on OPK which was almost positive (so think missed the full surge) and EWCM.
If AF arrives next month i think im going to invest in CB ovulation kits for my next cycle, and maybe a thermometer too as im really paranoid about not actually ovulating..

So stressed today just wanting to know, syptom spotting like nobody's business, my boobs feel bigger and tingly, but no cm which is a bit hmm :(

I'm not sure I yet fully understand TTC speak but I think this is the right bus. (I almost feel like I'm trying to navigate public transport in Japanese or something 😂).

I don't really know anything about my cycle as I had a coil for a decade (and no periods). So I'm guessing when my period might be due.

To give us an idea about WTF is going on I've been using the clear view advanced OPKs. Yesterday and today are apparently high fertility days.

@SSC92 i did an ovulation test last night as my friend bought a batch of the strip test ones and couldn't work out if they weren't working or if she isnt ovulating. I got the darkest reddest line I've ever seen so im either ovulating really late- obviously dtd last night just incase

Or I've read a positive ovulation strip can show early pregnancy. So I'm also now going out my mind 😂😂 glad we've got each other to limp through the next week together

@WooMaWang welcome! Great news on the positive ovulation tests sending you lots of baby dust!

A good friend of mine just had her baby, too cute. The broodiness levels are real!

@WooMaWang your post cracked me up! I remember trying to learn it all too, there is so much slag to learn with TTC, here's a few that might help..

EWCM: Egg white cervical mucus
FMU: First morning urine
IUI: intrauterine insemination
MC: Miscarriage
TWW: Two week wait

I've got a good feeling for October for me ladies....
I will be on cycle 4. Currently just finished AF and full of cold / feeling AWFUL today. Going away on Monday for 10 days with DH so thinking that if I get this cold out the way now and we are away for my entire fertile window then SURELY I must be on to a win win situation this month?!
Also won't be testing or POAS (also new abbreviation learnt for me this morning!) so will be all very relaxed and chilled... recipe for success I think!

I think the cold is everywhere at the moment- I’m all stuffy and have a tickle in my throat.

CD6 for me today - I’m just waiting for my fertile window to start now! I’ve still got a bit of time before that! This is cycle 5 - I really hope this will be the month fingers crossed 🤞

@Lauralozzle Agreed, I'm feeling crappy too, most likely it's just the flu jab I had earlier in the week so hoping it will go away soon! Hope it's your month too, at least you're almost at the exciting part where you can feel like you're actively do something!

Happy Weekend October Bus!

I’ve been trying to avoid mumsnet too much as I think that ans the daily OPKs stressed me out a little but am back for advice today

Hope everything is going well for everyone :).

AF is due Monday or Thursday. So stupidly I POAS this morning- got what I think looks like a positive of an ic but a negative on FREr which is surely more sensitive ! Will test again tomorrow but now I feel worse than before testing!

DH is making me a bacon sandwich though so all will be okay 😆

O actually realised I used the wrong stick lol never mind! TTC is driving me mad haha

@mrsmeow I also poas this morning and feel like an idiot because it's obviously a BFN cos I'm only 8dpo 😂 I read the chances of getting bfp are 18% at 8dpo so just thought why not.... But yeah also feel less hopeful now haha, I felt what I though we're implantation cramps 2 days ago so surely there would be enough hcg now in fmu?

@Bstansfield the stats actually sound good don’t they but we all just keep upsetting ourselves when it’s a bfn. FRER says almost 80% positive 5 days before period which I am, so likely out this month. Shall have a wine tonight !

@raizalrea I’m good thanks been a busy month but have a quiet weekend now so more time to think about TTc which isn’t good 😆. How are you?
