October bus

Haven't seen an October bus yet so I figured I'd start one as AF showed up today for me.

Age 31
AF due around 5 October

7 October is my birthday so would not be opposed to a bit of a present in the form of a BFP 😄

Not sure yet if I'll do anything special this cycle other than taking follic acid and DTD, contemplating buying Clear Blue OPKs though I'm hoping to stay as relaxed as possible (completely failed at that last cycle and obsessed about everything so hopefully I got that out of my system...)

@idath yes! Exactly the same as me - we are so hard on ourselves! Where are you in your cycle? ... still no AF today eeek, the boob pain got really bad last night but this morning it's all eased off abit. Thinking of waiting till tomorrow and testing again!

Ok so I'm massively impatient 😂😂😂 held my wee for 4.5 hours tonight... A swear it's positive.

Husband says otherwise but was exactly the same for ds, thought there was nothing there until took another the next day but I can see something I swear 👀

Trying to get a photo but the blue I can see in real life is whiter than white on the photo 😂😂😂

2 days until AF is due and I’ve resisted the urge to test so far. None of the usual AF symptoms but knowing my luck it’ll still arrive on time!

@Bstansfield so last night I tested again (I got excited cause you had!) and it was bfn. Tested this morning with FMU and have the slightest shadow in person but doesn't show up on a picture. Although today I have vagina, uterus and lower back af dull aches beginning to start 😫. I will try and post a pic.

Ok so this morning I did one with fmu, exactly the same as the night before, would have thought it would be darker by now 🤔 husband swears it's negative, but he's blue-yellow colour blind so I don't really trust that tbh

Blue dye tests are notoriously crap. Get thee a FRER!

@justanothergurl are the one step ic tests pink? Don't think I can justify spending any more on preg tests this cycle 😂😂 saying that I'm sure I'll justify it to myself by the end of the day!

@Yogahorseygirl You're way ahead of me, I still have my two week's wait - just ovulated last night/this morning!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you, let us know how it goes!

@idath me too! I got my peak on CB digital this morning. First month using them so pleased they work. We are doing SMEP so will be dtd for the next 3 nights then for the dreaded tww.
Just realised I am supposed to be going on a boozy work do around the day my period/ bfp will be due. That will be tricky as there are only 3 of us in our team so it will be super noticeable if I don't join in. May have to do sober october for charity!!

Sober October for charity is a great idea. I've been trying to figure out how to say no to my mum buying champagne on my birthday meal out, which is also at the end of my TWW (but slightly too early for me to let myself rest - I'm holding firm on two weeks). That should be an excuse.

@Bstansfield yes the one step ones are pink dye and very accurate. You can buy them in bulk very cheaply x

AF has arrived :(, on to cycle 3! Might invest in some clear blue digital ovulation sticks and see if I’m getting my ovulation day wrong. Best of luck the all you ladies :-)

@mrsmeow2019 im sorry AF has arrived. Guessing this cycle wasn't for us 😞 we have another shot at October though.

Clear blue are great. This will be my second month using them and I can't wait for CD8 to arrive to start again. Currently CD3 for me and the last of AF.

@MrsMeow2019 @Blossomingflower94 Seconded on the CB OPKs, I've only used them this cycle so far but love that they take out all the second guessing, they definitely made the first half of my cycle less obsessive 😆 Hope you ladies both catch on in this new cycle 🤞

Would you guys say that this is a positive ovulation test?

@Hannah1925 I would say not quite yet but peak must be close, could possibly even happen in your sleep tonight so definitely make sure to get busy 😊

@Blossomingflower94 yes you’re right positive attitude it’s early days ! I’ll jump on the clear blue bus! When is your next AF due ? Mine should be 27th of October so I’ll stay on the October bus! To be fair it gives me more time to save for mat leave :). Though DH and I are planning a mini get away to wales in a couple of weeks 😆 and I have a spa break with some friends soon, no hot tub excuses needed!

Hello ladies, may I join the bus? We are TTC in our 2nd month now. According to a tracking app I am day 9 so should be positive on the ovulation test strips but clear blue still saying no...
Last month I got my period just 6 days after ovulation (suppose to be 14 days?) and have read this could be a sign of fertility problems - anyone else has this? I hoped it was implantation bleeding but no such luck

@Raizelrea @Blossomingflower94 where do u ladies buy your CB OPKs and how long do they last you? I’ve found amazon £34 for 25 tests x
