My period tracker app tells me I ovulated on day 19 but my Femometer app is day 17. I think period trackers algorithm means that once you get a temp spike over a certain amount it puts the day before as ovulation.

When actually all other signs for me (opk, cm, pain in my tummy) pointed to day 17 which Femometer picked up.
Would it be worth trialling another app?

I’m sorry this is such a pain for you at the moment 🙁

claireb707 · 03/09/2019 13:16

To be honest as the temp seesm all over the place and 7 different ovulation tests (I think it's been 7) are all negative I'm sort of ignoring the date the app is giving me Smile
Just frustrating that it's all over the place as is my head Confused

CouscousEvaporator · 03/09/2019 13:24

I can imagine 🙁 I really hope it evens out for you soon. It’s horrible isn’t it, the way it gets in your head. I was really worried to start with as my temps are really low (in the 35s!) and of course I googled and it could indicate thyroid problems or could be completely normal 😆 so I decided I am not googling from now on haha

claireb707 · 03/09/2019 13:30

Oh I have thyroid issues as well Sad plus being 40 I know my chances are slim anyway.

claireb707 · 03/09/2019 14:48

One positive thing since comng off the pill, my appetite seems reduced. Don't seem to be as hungry all the time Smile

MrsSkr · 03/09/2019 15:45

Sorry @claireb707 I know nothing about temping 🙈
I'm pretty sure (really hoping) AF is on her way. I'm very crampy again today...just in time for a hen weekend I'm leaving for on Thurs lol No hot tub for me xx

MrsSkr · 03/09/2019 15:48

Could your body just be adjusting and being a bit off? Try not to worry, although I know that's easier said than done...waiting is no fun!!

Luxoire · 03/09/2019 19:18

@claireb707 I agree AF is probably not far...it seems long when ur waiting for something to happen..ovia seems quite reliable so maybe try another app and starting temping and testing ov and keeping records that way if u haven't already...u can see when it happens and if u have and are in the 2ww for a period atleast u will keep busy while waiting and make an appt to see ur GP if u get worried...cos stress hormones and periods don't mix

@luxoire I didn't bleed at all on the pill. I had one period a few months after having my baby, and went back on the mini pill then. I'm also breastfeeding though, so I'm not totally sure how that's affecting my cycle either.

Luxoire · 03/09/2019 20:37

@PieAndPumpkins I think BF really does stuff with your hormones as well as the pill. I always have a period on my current pill Noriday. But when i was on cerazette I didnt always get a period and both are pop mini pill just differrnt hormones

Well, I think you blew some AF dust luck my way! At last. Never been so glad for a period lol

MrsSkr · 04/09/2019 09:32

@PieAndPumpkins yay for AF! Good luck on your fresh month!

I was tricked, AF is still a no show, I could've sworn she was coming yesterday. The cramps, the heavy feeling downstairs, the mood swings....but zilch. I did miss count though, I'm sure AF should arrive 14dpo? I thought I was 15 today but looking back I'm only 13dpo today so hopefully shes on her way xx

Luxoire · 04/09/2019 12:10

@PieAndPumpkins YAY!!!! glad she is here, hopefully you can start keeping track and testing to see when you ovulate etc.. for when you are ready

@MrsSkr i know time goes so slow when you are waiting for something to happen - how long are your cycles normally cos that will determine when you ovulate and when to expect AF.

I am CD7 but my fertile window according to Ovia starts Monday and peaks on Thursday so I am going to start ovulation testing the whole of next week - if I can pin point Ovulation that should make it easier to catch October November...eeeekkk!!!

@HappyGirl86 How are you darling?

Whilst we are all waiting any pregnancy symptoms ppl are looking forward to or dreading the most?

I am looking forward the kicks NOT looking forward to the weight gain and heartburn!

OP posts:
CouscousEvaporator · 04/09/2019 12:33

I’m looking forward to the kicks too. I have no idea what it could feel like but I am looking forward to finding out hopefully.

Dreading the weight gain and stretch marks and pushing a baby through a small hole 😆 looking forward to tiny baby shoes though! Haha

MrsSkr · 04/09/2019 13:27

@Luxoire I'm just so inpatient lol. I don't really know how long my cycles are, I was never regular and last time ttc I fell pregnant first month, then first month again after mc so never really had a full cycle to count lol. I got positive opks though so just going by that I should be 13dpo today.

Symptom wise...I never really enjoyed being pregnant last time, my anxiety was through the roof and was convinced I was going to mc again so from day one to the day she was born I was a nervous wreck. Every twinge I thought something was going wrong. I also had an anterior placenta so felt very little movement which didnt help my anxiety lol. This time roundnim hoping to feel alot more kicks and movements, just to help with peace of mind. I'm actually pretty excited to get a bump again as much as I didnt enjoy pregnancy I missed my bump. And weirdly I'm looking forward to going through labour again (crazy) 🤣
Hoping for less heartburn, no bleeds this time ideally and hopefully more cravings (I suffered with food aversion last time so hoping I'll just be able to eat!!)

Luxoire · 04/09/2019 14:09

@CouscousEvaporator aww darling once you get over the weirdness of it - they actually feel pretty special. Like you KNOW what baby is doing in there, it is just awe inspiring, I could feel every kick, turn, punch, hiccup - my first was worse bcos she was and still is a tall girl so she was forever stretching and moving around, probably the one who stretched my belly the most hahahah it is magical and really creates a bond!

@MrsSkr aww bless you sounds like you had quite a roller-coaster last time, I am praying this time is great for you and that you get all the good and bad symptoms....girl dont wish for cravings, mine were terrible and my poor DH was at my beck and call bcos if i didnt get gherkins at 2am, i would cry all night bcos he just didnt understand how much i NEEDED them hahahahahahah

I am not looking fwd to the heightened sense of smell either, I could smell things miles off and Chicken was a big turn off....hey could eat it as long as it wss not cooked at home hahahahaah gosh thinking of it i sound like a terrible MOM-ZILLA hahaha

Thank you ladies! I am miserable pregnant, yet I'm so excited to ttc again! I get awful, terrible heartburn from very early on until the end. Absolutely miserable. I had SPD for the last two as well.
The kicks are sooo wonderful. But I've also had posterior plecentas 3/3 times! I get total pregnancy denial unti I feel those kicks, even with all the vomiting 🤣 Oh joy, can't wait. Haha.

Chaosonthehorizon · 04/09/2019 16:43

PieandPumpkins know how you feel! Are you ttc4? I get GD so that is a wonderful pregnancy experience (not) also varicose veins so have to wear tights and SPD/SI issues too.

PieAndPumpkins · 04/09/2019 16:43

So I have a question. There's a bit of debate of when to count cd1 if you start your bleed in the evening.

I've read if it's after 5pm not to count it, or not to if it's only spotting, or if its not bright red. Others say, your AF has been 'in progress' that day, so to count it regardless.

PieAndPumpkins · 04/09/2019 16:45

@chaosonthehorizon ahhh no, that does not sound fun, I'm sorry. I forgot the glucose tests, ugh. Yes, this will be #4! How about you?

Chaosonthehorizon · 04/09/2019 18:43

I know I must be mad!! Number 3. What are your age gaps?

PieAndPumpkins · 04/09/2019 21:48

@chaosonthehorizon this is my last for sure! We have 8,6,1. Loved the two year age gap! Two boys and a girl. What are your age gaps?

Chaosonthehorizon · 04/09/2019 21:53

Two years exactly, now 2-3 would be over 3.5 yrs. DH won’t go for 4 years and neither of us want an August baby 😓. Worry about the third being left out and daren’t risk more than 3 cs’s

PieAndPumpkins · 04/09/2019 22:10

I worried about that a lot too. I read lots and asked loads of questions before ttc #3, and almost unanimously people said the children's personalities dictated the sibling relationships more than the age gap. Often people said their child #1 and #4 get on best, or #2 and #4 etc. Mine dote on the baby, and I think my #2 will still be young enough to play with #3 as he gets older. Yours would still be closer in she than mine though, I think they'll be fine 😊
