Anyone starting their TTC journey in July 2019?

Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

I’m not great, actually off work today and
I’m never off. I’m being sick multiple times a day, zero energy, feeling nauseous all day. I do nothing feel like my bed is a prison. I was definitely not like this the past 2 times so don’t know what’s going on?? I’m going for an early scan tonight just to rule out twins as I’m terrified about, also to check everything is ok as I just don’t know why I’m so bad? Think I’ll be 8 weeks tomorrow so from what I’ve read, weeks 7-9 are the worst so I’m clinging on to that for dear hope. No idea how I’m supposed to cope with this for weeks?
Sorry for moaning I know people would love to be in this position and I am grateful but feeling like I am at the moment is just so difficult xx

@AAJJ83 I have been pregnant a few times and the last time I was (years ago) I implanted early, I literally felt it implant I've never felt anything like it whereas prior to that I had felt nothing and had no symptoms in pregnancy. Anyway, I was a prisoner of my bed too it was pretty damn awful. I was depressed and felt sick constantly... I don't know why that one was so different, sometimes I think maybe it was a girl. Anyway... The only thing I. Can say is that by week 12 the sickness should pass. Full sugared coke used to help me x

New to the group. I am trying to conceive my second child. First one over 8 years. I'm in my 40s I was told my progesterone was 25 today. I think it's wrong as I got the blood done Friday and my period started yesterday. I'm not sure what it means I was told I'll be referred to the fertility doctor now. Any tips etc greatly welcomed thank you all and wishing u every success down this baby route 😘

@Memie20 hello, welcome to the group. How long have you been trying? Positive to hear you are going to be seen by fertility professionals.

I did a foolish thing and tested today. It was negative. I’m only 8DPO so I don’t know why I did it really. I’ll keep up a little hope that I’ve just done it too early but I sure don’t feel like I might be pregnant so it’s prob true enough.

Positivity2019 thank you for your message.we have bern trying for 6 months but with our ages it's best to go down other options, hope you get the positive result. Did you have ivf?

Hi guys - so I just got my static smiley for peak fertility this morning - I'm on CD18 of a 27/28 day cycle, so again looks like my LP will only be 8/9 days. I'm really trying not to stress about it too much and will keep taking all the vitamins next month, if no luck this month.

What are people doing with the Agnus Castus - taking just until ovulation it whole cycle??

@Memie20 no I’ve not had IVF. I’m only on cycle 7 so not really long into it. I am 35 so over that hump and on the fertility downward slide. I’m trying for my first. I’ve been using Pregnacare Conception vitamin. Thinking that I’ll make a doc app soon if we have no luck. Though my periods are a little irregular they are regular in their irregularities if that makes sense. So basically they are anywhere from 25-27 days long and last for four days. LP seems short but it sits at about 9 days so hope that’s not too bad.

@Wearenotyourkind I’m with you, feel like my LP is about 9 days and hoping that’s ok. Trying to keep calm about that. I’ve read several posts where people have LP of like 9 days and they’ve conceived.
Not sure about the Agnus Castus. I’ve been thinking to give some a go myself but not done it yet.

Also spotting has started just now and it’s definitely AF. So another failed month 😢

@Positivity2019 I'm sorry to hear that af is looking like it's come 😣 maybe do give the agnus castus a go? Just to make your LP a little longer?? You could try for one month and just see how you go

@Ellsbells112 I usually get very optimistic once I’m passed the period stage. Like when ovulation is just around the corner and I think this could be the one. Fingers crossed for you for this cycle.
I have to say I’m in a bit of a low yesterday and it’s persisting today with this period. I have a really unsettling feeling that we have a problem. But I’m going to try Agnus Castus as a plan of action this month.
@Wearenotyourkind did you find out how we should be taking it? I’m thinking every day of a cycle and stop if you get a BFP.

@Positivity2019 you could research online and see which way might be best? Also you can talk to a doctor about it but you'd want to ask a receptionist that you'd like to talk to a doctor who knows about herbal fertility supplements, then perhaps they will be of more help to you.
I think that it might just be a case of your LP being a little short, if the agnus castus can sort it out you might be okay! Also I just found out of a supplement called DIM I want to take it for my ache but it also helps with regulating females hormones, look it up see if it could be of help to you.
I'm. Sorry you feel down, it's always crap when you're at that stage and it really does feel like there's an issue. Good luck 🤞 I really hope one of the supplements works, definitely try one though x

@Ellsbells112 I bought some AC today and read the info leaflet and it says not to take them if you’re trying to conceive. There is so much conflicting advice out there it’s so hard to know what to do for the best. I think talking to a doctor is the best thing to do before I start taking them. I’ve read that many people take them from first day of cycle until ovulation and then stop. I agree with you in that I think short LP may be the problem. However my period is very mucusie. Sorry is that’s TMI but that’s very strange for my periods so I may just make an app anyway.

I took AC from CD1 this cycle and have stopped at ovulation. I think I will start again on the next CD1, assuming it'll come! You're right @Positivity2019 there is so much conflicting advice and it's almost impossible to know what to do for the best. I'm a bit concerned too about my LP being too short. But you just never know as lots of stories on here with getting BFPs despite short LPS. How have you been feeling @Ellsbells112?

@Positivity2019 probably best then to do it up till ovulation but I have heard of people taking all the way through. I think they say not to because there hasn't been enough research done on it to know if it causes issues early on if you conceive. I still have a box sitting here I haven't used haha I actually wanted to use it to see if it would help my acne. Lete know how the docs goes

@Wearenotyourkind you’ve reassured me some about the AC. I’m going to start it today I think. Good luck during your TWW, I’ll be keeping everything crossed for you! You’re right I’ve also heard many stories where woman have fallen pregnant with a short LP so it must be possible. I think the most reassuring piece of info that I’ve read is that so long as your cycle is pretty regular even if it isn’t the typical 28 day cycle 5 day period, then chances are you're fine.
I’ll call the doc on weds too I think. I’d like some advice on when to get the ball rolling on any tests etc that can be done to start ruling out things or help if help is needed.
@Ellsbells112 because of my short cycles my next ovulation window is next weekend also. So it looks like it’ll be a good one for all of us.

Can I ask a weird question? I’ve stopped using apps and opk’s in an attempt to be more breezy about it all (yet right!)!Anyway, last two months around when I should be ovulating, I have been peeing like a racehorse. Literally crossing my legs and hoping to the loo. My bladder just goes a bit crazy. Last around 2-3 days then back to peeing like a normal person! Is it normal to wee so much around ovulation? Has it/did it/ does it happen to anyone else?

@Han1213 I don't know but for me after ovulation I wee a lot, like getting up in the night and all sorts. I don't know why and I don't know if either are normal, sorry!

I normally get an email when someone posts on the thread but that seems to have stopped so just suddenly thought about everyone! I meant to reply to say you really don’t sound great and may need to take time off work and get some help. Then I saw your next message about being in bed and being sick and being off work and I think you have hyperemesis this time? I had it with number two and was one of the reasons number 3 was cancelled (until now 😁) as it was honestly the worst time of my life I couldn’t even keep a bit of water down and ended up admitted to a& e with severe dehydration! I was then admitted onto another ward as I had damaged my liver through dehydration. I was put on a drip and medication. I don’t know if you are this bad but if you are anywhere near you need help! How did the scan go? I wasn’t having twins but I was having a girl! I suspect if this one was another girl I’d be the same! Let us know how you are. Have a good weekend all.

FFS I'm out 😭😫 AF arrived this morning - so a 26 day cycle with an LP of only 8 days. Feeling really gutted this month. If I was a crier, I'd be in tears. Getting really frustrating now. Sorry for the rant ☹️

Aw thanks for replying @Ellsbells112 💗 I'm just feeling a bit pathetic! Even my husband got my hopes up this month with saying he thought we'd conceived. So today I'm going to eat all the crap, open the bottle of wine I've been looking at all weekend and get my husband to do the hoovering and washing up 😂
